No garbage cans. No railing for the river wall. Benches are cracked. However the water is relaxing. The geese minds their own business. There are friendly people. The grass is cut nicely.

Always love to go there for walk or to take pictures. Love the view and quiet most of the time.

I liked the view of the ambassador bridge from this spot. I’ve received recommendations to visit the spot in the night when the view is even better, but citing safety and security concerns I didn’t dare so. Just go n enjoy the pleasantness there.

This is an amazing skatepark. Great setup, huge space, lights up at night and has a bit of everything for novice to pros. Not mention the vibe is chill and welcoming... One Love. 5 STARS!!!

If youre expecting a nice park with picnic areas, trees, trails and benches, well, its not. Its even closed due to high pollution levels in the area. I think the city will rebuild it so it may improve in the future.

Quiet views of two great cities and the river that separates and joins them.

Best place ever, and loud. Also smelled pretty bad. The industries need to clean up their acts or leave. Toxic environments are not ok. Skatepark was phenomenal.

Great layout and decent size. Unfortunately at times the park is overrun with unattended toddlers aimlessly stumbling around which creates an extremely dangerous situation. The overall layout is setup in a way which.promotes accidental snaking, so head on a swivel for the BMX guys doing longer lines.

Have always enjoyed being there in the summer fished there as a youth in the late 70,s it has change but riding a bike there is a great rest stop

There is a really great dog park here. Its all grass and really large for bigger dogs to run. Its also close to the freeway and decently quiet so your dog isnt distracted from outside noises or people; they can just focus on playing.

Even though the park is closed, if you turn left@the railroad tracks(Jefferson Street) there is a skate park,soccer or baseball field, play area for little kids. There is also a shed with tables and grill plus restroom.It is so clean and nice. I go just to watch the skateboarders and it is so relaxing

This restaurant is cozy place with some beat food in Houghton. I specially liked lobster pizza, chicken broccoli pizza and chicken Caesar salad. During winters it has some good views.

I appreciate this park really great place

4 months ago when the skate park wasnt known it was very clean. The pandemic hit and now 5 months later the park is horribly full of trash everywhere. Clean up after yourself. Chicken bones in the garbage and laying are the trash within the dog park, sad.

Awesome park. Big thank you to the Tony Hawk foundation for helping fund this park. I wish it was there 13 years ago, but its there now. Everything is set up sweet, but the park is getting dirty fast. Might bring a broom next time lol

Its still under conversion but you can access and have an amazing view of the ambassador bridge and the river

Great Skateboarding and Doggie Park

This is a nice new park. They still have a lot of work to do as the bathroom facility is an open style building without doors. I understand why but for people to be able to stay for a significant length of time to enjoy the park, dog park, and/or skate park a safe private are to use the bathroom is necessary. I hope the city has plans to continue to develop this area as it is off to a beautiful start. #ILoveDetroit

Awesome park. It’s massive and has all the types of rails, staircases, bowls, quarter pipes you’ll be looking for in a park. Was amazed at how much there is here and how clean it is.

Park needs some love and cleanup. But adjacent skate park is wonderful!

Very peaceful quite your not shoulder to shoulder with people. Looks like the Detroit are starting to build on that end of town now. And its great for fishing and alot of folks been fishing in there boats too!

Was nice to be right by the river but the garbage all over the place was sad to see cause that just ends up blowing right into the river eventually. But the work that theyre doing around there its going to be a very nice place for familys to hangout at!

Some of the parts of the park need some litter pickup, but it’s a great park with an awesome location. The location makes up for the slight rubble.

This place is so relaxing and peaceful if you go at the right time you can watch and listen to the water and see the Detroit Princess cruise by. I really enjoyed seeing the speed boats in both Michigan and Canadian waters at the same time and there were also families that were doing some great fishing as well. I recommend this park for a nice date or family outing or just to catch a few fish.

Calling this a park is really a stretch...muddy drive to the waters edge but once you get there and park its a fabulous view of the Ambassador Bridge...the semis look tiny and there were dozens crossing when I was there in the afternoon...
