Awesome picnic spot. Get close to Missouri River. Spent a peaceful evening here. It has kids play area, shelters, park table-benches also a boat ramp but was not operational. Well maintained and enough parking available.

A beautiful and excellently maintained park, only minutes from downtown Omaha or Council Bluffs. Though it requires a park pass, its totally worth it (and it can be used at other great parks like Hitchcock). Weve spent many wonderful hours here with our family; at the large picnic shelter (which you can reserve), watching the river flow, the boats pass by, and the airplanes take off and land right across the river at Eppley. I have many great memories of our trips here with my daughter enjoying the pristine playground. It will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you Pottawatomie County Conservation.

Great little gem of a park! Clean picnic areas clean bathrooms with soap and water and toilet paper. Just off of the bike trail, nice place to picnic!

June 2020. The restrooms are CLOSED, only two picnic tables per shelter and technically the playground is off limits because of Covid-19. But there is still a $3 fee.

Finally open. It has changed alot, but playground is beautiful

It was great I caught me in 5 lb catfish 23 in Long the blue cat on top of it goodnight within 5 minutes of getting there

Boat ramp is not opened. Went by there today on the river and could see how the post for the dock are damaged and leaning badly

This park is always clean including the bathrooms. The park rangers are also very friendly. Its just a beautiful park plain and simple!

This is a hidden gem of a park. It is tucked away behind the northside Walmart in Council Bluffs. Hardly anyone goes there, it is really clean, perfect place to get some sun, fresh air, be near the water, and be right under the planes as they fly over you landing at Omaha Airport.

The river is really high right now... We will be sad if the park has to close.

Been going to this park since I was a little girl. The park is always clean well maintained. DNR is so very nice.

This was a very nice park.

It use to more trees but, the flooding took them. It is nice park. Has large chairs to watch the river. Picnic areas, play equipment, boat dock.

Nice and clean plus theres a Park ranger on duty everyday to keep it safe... I just wish theres a basketball court to bring more activities and enjoyments...

Great place for a wedding.

Well maintained. Great place to soak some nature and enjoy the fresh air. Almost forget how close you are to the city until a FEDEX plane buzzes you as it comes in for a landing.

Look at that cool river! Theres a lot of deer in this spot too. There might even be a bobcat too. Iowa has me.

Great view of the river. Its exciting when the planes fly over to land right across the river. Park entrance fee though.

Although it cost $2 you can get a year pass if you find the Ranger we like to park cuz its nice and quiet and you can watch the planes come in for a landing and launch the the boat easily the ranger comes around a lot thats good for security
