100% a Fun Family Experience! If you have Served in the military or currently active duty service member, Turkey Hill thanks you with a free admission. Both my wife and I are Veterans and of our 3 son’s ages 1,3,6 we paid $10 to get in. We ended up spending what we would have paid on admission at the gift shop and on tips for the unlimited ice cream and iced tea bars. Hopefully you will get to enjoy a Fun Family day at the Turkey Hill Experience. Make sure to book online to ensure you have a slot especially on the weekends!
We did the triple scoop experience, which involved the tour, the Ice Cream tasting, and the Tea tasting. The teachers were knowledgeable and the staff welcoming and kind. There was a great quantity of ice cream and tea available for sampling. We ate so much, we didnt even have to eat lunch. Our favorite part was definitely getting to make and eat our own ice cream flavor.
Great place to visit with kids. We had a wonderful time. The ice cream we had was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
I was a dumb dumb and booked the wrong day (wanted Nov 20 but actually booked on Nov 27th). I wish I could remember the receptionists name but she was so nice. She was able to work with my friend and I to get us in that day!!! We did the experience and create your own ice cream. It was very fun. Obviously geared more towards kids but it was still very informative and Im not going to complain about eating tasty ice cream!
We had a great time. Other than Tim the free icecream scooper who didnt seem too thrilled with life, the staff at the door taking temperatures to even the gift shop cashier was amazing, helpful, and happy. The make your own icecream was so amazing. Everything was setup to have a great time, and was very informative. We will definately plan to do this again on our next vacation in this area.
Temperature check before allowed in. Appointment only so it is not crowded. Employees constantly cleaning high traffic areas. Felt very safe and protected. Great place for kids to explore and very hands on for kids and adults. Plenty of ice cream!
The entire family had a blast. Touring the building, taste testing ice cream and ice tea and then setting down and creating your own personal flavor....WOW! Learning how to create ice cream, then actually taking a base vanilla and adding different flavorings and ingredients to make it your own custom personalized flavor was awesome! And I dont mean a little sampler 2-4 oz cup, we made an entire overflowing pint of our own personal flavored ice cream. It was great and the kids had a blast, so glad we did this.
Very cute experience with my 5 year old. We explored the place for 4 hours and did the ice cream making class. The plain ice cream they gave was amazing. But it was fun to add in the toppings. The class was informative as well. Afterwards, we explored the play area, free ice tea area, awesome slide, free popcorn and more free ice cream. The five year old didn’t want to leave but we eventually did to go eat a late lunch.I’d recommend to a friend with kids 4-10.
Had a great time at the ice cream taste lab. Spend the extra money to include this in your ticket as it’s both fun to create your own ice cream and rewarding to eat a pint of your own creation. Both kids and adults were enjoying it.The experience upstairs was cute, but mostly designed for kids. Happy we had a chance to see it and taste some of the label’s current flavours. We had fun designing packaging for our ice cream flavour.
Had so much fun here! Great experience, good for all ages. We enjoyed making our own commercial the most. I would totally recommend! So much fun! I recommend the taste lab if you enjoy adding different tastes and toppings to your ice cream. I personally prefer plain ice cream with nothing extra but the Taste lab is great if you would like to try something new. They take good control of social distancing and their is a lot of sanitizer around the facility, if you need it. You even get to sample some ice cream, all for free.
Nice visit for a self guilded tour. Tastings include Turkey Hill ice teas and several types of ice cream. After the roughly 45 minute tour, go to the make your own ice cream. You get a pint of vanio and add flavors and others goodles. Good visit
Went here today at 11:30 am, best experience. ThExp + Lab is the best option available. We went as a group of 9 & paid only $82 for 3hrs. If you buy the regular admission you still receive the perks of unlimited ice cream and more. Prior to the lab, you make your own ice cream mixture and packaging. Then at the lab, you are explained the process of making ice cream while mixing your own. Unfortunately, they do not offer the same flavors to exactly make your ice cream. But the experience is worth the cheap/affordable cost. I will definitely be returning in the near future.
A fun tour. Had two 12 year old boys with me that had a great time. Both ate their weight in ice cream. The make your own flavor of ice cream was fun. The gift shop was not as overly priced as some places. A good Turkey Hill Experience!
Best ice cream in the world! I love the environment and the people were so kind and generous that were explaining how the ice cream was made! Its a wonderful place I highly recommend it without any mental reservation in my mind whatsoever!
Social distancing was nonexistant but it wasnt overly crowded. Definitely would recommend doing the taste lab experience. We loved the walk through tour and the little interactive things to do. The ice cream tasting was good as you had your choice of flavors. Cute souvenirs in the gift shop that were reasonably priced as well.
Kids loved it. Making our own icecream was a highlight.Kudos to Turkey Hill for investing a considerable amount of cash into the old building that was once rotting away.
I Love this place!!! Friendly clean and following covid safe. They should make magnets from the ice cream container you design.
It is very children friendly. We even us adults were surprised of how much interaction and knowledge you offered. Thank you for the turkey hill experience.
Excellent place! Good covid19 protocol. Best Ice cream experience ever!
Kids had a blast. From walking around the second floor with the interactive areas. Then you can make your own ice cream .
It was ok. As an adult, I enjoyed it enough and had enough ice cream to justify the cost. Our 4 year old was bored and gave it a thumbs down. Overall, Id say skip this attraction and pick something else.
Very informative! Its a pretty lovely presentation about ice cream. My four-year-old son enjoyed it very much! You get to make and eat ice cream to your hearts content.
Great experience, making memories and great family experiences for all ages
This place is good on a rainy afternoon. The kids were excited to learn about the ice cream process and of course create their own flavors.. NOTE you can not buy the ice cream you create.. kids were a little bummed about that.. stull a good time
The visit at Turkey Hill Experience located in Columbia, PA, was fun. They have ice cream tasting and ice tea tasting area where you can taste different flavors they provide. They also have area where you can create your own ice creams. They have Classrooms A and B where you can see the experience in the lab. It was a good visit overall. Kids have a good time at this place.
This is a great place to bring the kids. You get to see how ice cream is made and you can make your own. I would highly recommend The Turkey Hill Experience.
Worth every cent. What a wonderful way for kids to explore and learn. The tasting had a big variety of flavors. I was so surprised at how kid-friendly this place is. Beautifully decorated! We will be back!
Wow!! It was enjoyable, informative and just good fun. Good fun for all. Real small kids not as much. Actually would be a cool idea for a date.
Awesome reccommend this experience for all. The interactive activities were well thought out and interesting for all ages. I had so much fun with my daugther and granddaugther.
Excellent experience. Very friendly staff, exceptionally clean, sanitizer available throughout, Unlimited Free Samples, Reasonably priced. Great stop!
A fun place to bring the kids and even adults enjoy the ice cream lab.
Very nice historical day trip for kids and adults. The tea experience was closed due to COVID which was disappointing. The safety measures they took for limiting entrance was good. It didnt seem to crowded.
Took my husband here for his birthday 10/19/20The room (6) was lovely, huge spa bath huge comfortable bed allAmenities, meal was good, our waitress Trina was so good, As was all the other staff from start to finish, very helpful, and very kind would certainly revisitThank you all so Xxx
Only went to the gas station. It was a five star gas station. Employees were nice.
Museum itself is on one floor with different stations .You can have as much of the Tea and ice cream samples of the day as you desire.Lots of interactive for the kids. Got a wooden spoon thing going on like me might want to bring your own.We didnt add the lab so not sure what happens with that.We are two adults and still enjoyed going through learning about the history of turkey hill.
I loved making my own ice cream & the commercial. My kids loved the unlimited ice cream tasting and unlimited tea tasting. We all had fun making our own ice cream, but I just wish they had fresh fruit options because Im allergic to nuts.
It was clean, everyone on top of sanitizing areas and very friendly. The ice cream tasting was delicious (both times)lol. And we really enjoyed playing some trivia while being in the lab with the kids.
The place is nice to go to when you want to do something with the family.
We just stopped by for gas. It was very early in the morning when we stopped. We took a quick pic with the giant cow. Well have to stop by again when the museum is open.
Awesome experience! Fun and educational for us all and I have 2 teenagers and a 20 yr old. They did a great job with socially distancing and continuously keeping things clean in this Covid-19 environment. I would highly recommend for the family!
This is a good place for kids. Lots to do in the museum and they have added safety protocols due to COVID. If you book The LAB, the website says it starts 75 minutes after your booking time online, which is LOTS of time for the museum! Might be a little more expensive, but it was still a good time!
Local convenient store with a family feel! Employees are always knowledgeable and friendly!
This is a really fun attraction where you learn about Turkey Hills ice cream and iced tea. Great for kids too!
Had a wonderful time and there was plenty of stuff for kids big and small to do
I worked for a independent contracting agency where I would take special needs young adults out into the community and enjoy new activities. Turkey Hill is very accommodating and theres so much to do. They have unlimited tea tasting, free ice cream samples, a scent area which was super cool. Then if you get the add on you can make your own ice cream which was completely worth it. A little tip: less is more with that. They have discounts as well.
Great place to take your kids. I give it 4 stars and not 5 because I thought they could do more to clean high touch areas in their exhibits. There was no one periodically sanitizing and there numbers seemed high. The ice cream lab process was very compliant with Co-Vid cleaning procedures (which were probably primarily established pre pandemic).
We had a birthday party here and I must say, the staff were very accommodating. Great fun place to take the kids for a visit.
A fun look into the tea and ice cream making processes.
Loved reading all about the history of the area and Turkey Hill in general, and definitely loved getting to make and eat my own ice cream flavor (not to mention all the free samples of ice cream and tea)!
Fun trip for the whole family. Even our older kids enjoyed the time laughing and sampling ice creams.
So much fun here! For kids and adults. Make your own ice cream. Shoot your own commercial and design your own ice cream flavor. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Drink unlimited amounts of Turkey Hill iced teas.
Very useful and interesting, shopping mini-mall inside, ice-cream is very delicious, very entertaining and last but not least very FUN!!!!!!!
For such a low price, this place was great. My kids spent the majority of the time on the slide and in the ice cream play parlor though, as if the interactive educational displays were kind of unnecessary, just give them an ice cream themed playground! It reminded me of Hersheys chocolate world: just give me the sweets and let me run around and play! But for the price well definitely be back.
The Turkey Hill Experience tour was interesting and informative, but I definitely wouldnt take young kids on the basic tour. Lots of reading about local area and history.
Very fun for all ages. Do the triple scoop. Its all worth it.
So much fun! They are doing a great job with sanitation and keeping the exhibits clean and safe. Great experience!
Really good experience.Freedom of pace in tour.Courteous representatives.Nice ice cream, too.
Amazing, must visit! Worth the drive from Lancaster or Hershey on a family vacation. They’ve done such a great job telling the story of Turkey Hill, but also the area they call home. Loved the iced tea and ice cream tasting! I’ve been sending a field trip group here for years, and they always come back raving but I’m glad I got to see it myself! (Our field trip group gets to do the ice cream lab also, which they love!)
It was interesting, the kids really liked it, they were able to make their own ice cream and name it. You were able to try different juices and teas..
Fun for all ages. Great experience. Wonderful icecream.
You get to see the history of turkey hill, get FREE samples of tea and ice cream and you get to create your own flavor of ice cream! Really fun and they do really well with sanitizing and social distancing.
Very nice though wish the create your own ice cream was a real ike the candy bar at Hershey.
Interactive learning experience - great for kids and kid like adults! Self guided tour about how ice cream is made. We had a group of 4 kid like adults and we had a blast... lots of fun! Endless supply of free ice cream samples. There is also an ice cream lab, for an addition cost.
Get the 3 scoop lots of ice cream to sample and make worth the trip
Fun for young children. Good learning experience for them.
What an amazing experience! You cant go wrong with ice cream! Spend a couple of hours entertaining yourself by learning about ice cream in their taste test lab and then create your own virtual container and commercial lots of fun for kids and adults!!
A great stop for any ice cream lover! Fun and interactive museum with all the samples you can eat. Do the taste lab as well so you can create your own custom ice cream flavor.
Awesome tour and making your own ice cream flavor. The tea tasting was fun
Our second time here. Just as great as the first even with all the new guidelines in place. Clean & plenty of hand sanitizer. A very big thank you to the friendly & polite staff!
It was fun. Got creat my own flavor
Ice cream is one of our favorite foods and while in PA, we decided to stop by the Turkey Hill Experience building.Although its more geared towards kids, it was a cool experience for us as well. We got to see how they make the ice cream and how their ingredients are different from other ice cream brands! We took the Experience tour for ten bucks a person and walked through the different areas sampling ice teas and about 15 flavors of ice cream! There were a couple of cool activities giving you insight on the ice cream process and a lot of things for kids to do and see.Overall it was a nice pitstop, especially if you have kids!
We enjoyed this place so much. specially the icecream lab where you can make your own ice cream creation. we also did the tea tasting and learned a lot. there is live footage of the processing plant and there is a lot of fun things to do with little ones. like a pretend icecream shop, a delivery truck milking a cow, a slide and so on. worth visiting. plus their icecream is delicious!
Turkey Hill Experience is a great stop for the whole family. Lots of ice cream & drinks, & a chance to make your own creation with either chocolate or vanilla ice cream.
Loved how interactive it was with for kids. My 4 year old really enjoyed himself!
Its a quaint place 2 visit & there us something 4 everyone 2 do in including takn a tour of the famous Turkey Hill ice-cream
A fun experience for the whole family!
It was a fun afternoon to spend with friends on a rainy day.We enjoyed the museum, but were surprised to find how child-focused it was. Theres nothing wrong with that, but it wasnt quite what we expected. We participated in the tasting lab to create our own ice cream flavor which we enjoyed a lot. Tour samples are generous.
My son loved it I thought it was to virtual. Definitely for the younger generation.
It was fun and educational. Making my own ice cream flavor was great.
It was a over priced for what you actually get. You can walk through the museum in about 15 minutes. I was expecting something more like Hersheys chocolate world tour, but you didnt get a soup to nuts view of the process involved to make ice cream. You dont really learn anything special or unique about the brand. Most of the displays are just geared for toddlers. The best part was the commercial studio where you can record your own commercial, it was a bit lame but the results were comical. My biggest gripe is theres no place to sit when you get ice cream samples, which is hard with kids who need to hold the ice cream cup and wooden spoon while eating. Mom always has her hands full, so it was uncomfortable for me to try to enjoy a scoop. I get it, they dont want you to get comfortable and settle in to eat several samples, but seriously they need a picnic bench for kids at least. Not to mention, the flavor choices available to sample were clearly picked to discourage anyone from going back for more. The samples of tea were equally ridiculous, little mini shot glasses and the flavors were things like watermelon lemonade or blackberry diet tea.Probably will not be going back.
Great place to visit, lots of fun for kids and adults.
First off, who doesnt love ice cream. Second.... ice cream. I personally love Turkey Hill brand ice cream so this was a great time. I would definitely recommend both the make your own ice cream and tea tasting. Definitely a must if you are visiting the area.
A fun and educational experience for children.
Such a fun place. Visited on our way down from Hershey and so glad we got to visitl! Loved everything about this place. We particularly enjoyed recording TV commercials and tasting free samples (ice cream and drinks). Its great for all ages. Highly recommended! Easy parking, friendly staff, and clean space.
Great learning experience...tasty too!!
Visited with 2 little kids on a Saturday and love the experience. Ate ice cream and tasted the drinks. Lab experience was terrific and the little ones loved it. Will come back if in the Lancaster area.
Nice place. Great tea and ice cream. However, the tour seems pretty pricey for us.
Enjoyed my experience of tasting all the flavors and making my own ice cream!! I have been talking about nonstop!! Wish to come back soon and bring my grand kids!!! Its yummy in your tummy!!!
Great for school age children but not younger ones, plus its pricey
Good for parents with kids. Little unorganized and how they have it laid out good learning experience you cant beat that all you can eat ice cream be nice if after you makes your ice cream flavor you can try it.
Small an educational. Probably good for children 6 to 10
This was my first time at the Turkey Hill Experience. My family and I learned a lot. We did a group tour with my daughters Girl Scout Troop 6986. We sampled ice cream and the different flavored drinks. We made our own flavored ice cream. I would recommend this to anyone with kids. It was a good experience.
Her family has been to the Turkey Hill experience a couple of times. Over the weekend my husband and I decided we would go together while we were in Pennsylvania. I have to be honest my favorite part is sampling the different ice cream flavors.
I liked it but 16.95 is a bit high for what you do. But it was a neat way to spend a few hours
This is worth a stop every few years for the kids, but not a membership. The experience of making a commercial and learning manufacturing is a great outing for a homeschool lesson. Unlimited icecream and lemonade...need I say more?
Fun place to go for $20 (for the triple scoop experienc3). You learn about how they make the ice cream and even get to try your own creative flavor!I wish they would add more activities for young adults without small children involved.
We have been visiting Turkey Hill every August for the past 6 years on our way to Hershey. It is a great, fun place to spend the day. We love the lab where we can create our own ice cream flavor and the tea tasting class. We also love the ice cream and tea sampling. So much fun!
So much fun! Tasty ice cream and amazing experience of making own flavors.
