We went on a rainy, muddy day-- I loved it! We slipped and slid through some of the trails and had a ball. Definitely peaceful and a great place to meditate- especially near the waterfall there. We went to magnet fish- no luck but a great experience with nature in the city. I would visit again on a dryer day just to tackle some of the trails that were blocked by water and mud.

It has a lot of potential to be a great park. Ran into a drug deal, found broken beer bottles, lots of graffitti, people hanging out in their cars drinking beer. Doesnt seem safe to go by yourself. It is a beautiful area though!

Really nice place to go for a walk or just to get outside for a bit. Despite being so close to a busy part of the city, its really quiet and peaceful. There are nice views of the river and plenty of trails to walk on. For the most part its well maintained too. I went here for the first time a couple months ago just trying to kill some time, and now whenever Im in the area I always want to stop by.

Gorgeous place to walk, have a little picnic, and many places that has access to little beaches right along the river. Only down side to this river walk is people dont know how to pick up after their dogs, there is poop laying all over the walk way. People if you have a dog, dont bring them if you dont know how to pick up their poop.

Bi
Review №27

Best of all the parks on the river! Small, never crowded, it’s mostly college students that live in the neighborhood at this park. Restrooms are always clean and the parks staff are very helpful. The one downside, there are sometimes homeless people camping or weirdos wondering around in the woods in the early morning hours, when the park first opens, so make sure you always watch your back!

The website advertised fishing. I was unable to find a decent spot where I could access the river without sliding down a muddy trail. After taking 2 hard falls I left and went to find a better park for fishing.

It is pretty, but no map to explain where it goes or what it has. I saw no pictures to explain and wasnt willing to walk alone to see what was around. It has paved paths saw the river and heavily wooded. The upside I did see cameras at the entrance. Will come.back again and explore and take some pictures. A few people there, but not crowded.

I have a garden plot there, and its pretty nice. The park rangers are helpful. Itd be nice if they developed their trail a bit more. The river is very accessible, and since this park is easy to miss, its never too crowded. A nice calm little park to check out.

This was our holy spot in the early 90s for Cola towns dead heads. We would always come here between dead shows to smoke down, swim, and play drums. It was undeveloped back then and all ours. Know that you are on holy ground babylonians. RIP Kirkman Respect it

Great spot to fish and hang out at the river. If youre looking to fish there, wading out a little to get to the main channel will get you better results. Small mouth bass is the most common thing youll catch.

River access to the Congaree just south of the Blossom St. Bridge. Great historic site, with remnant of the Robert Mills Abraham Blanding canal constructed in the 1820s and a brick cistern from the SC Distillery.Big trees and quiet trails with a new short, section off road bike trail. More to come!

Grandy Park has a comfortable walking path through the forest along the Congaree River. There is a parking lot and restrooms at the front on the park. All along the trails are benches for periodic rests if necessary. There are nice views of the river along the path. There is a deck with seating in the back of the park.

Its a nice riverwalk with several diverging paths and access to the river. Ignore the faint smell of sewage upon first arrival - it is not present throughout the entire park. There is a bit of litter scattered around due to irresponsible youth but its not bad over all. Definitely worth a visit if you like riverwalks or nature.
