The train show upstairs in freakin amazing and there is a lot to learn.
Went for the model train exhibit and was not disappointed! The builders were there, working on integrating a major new donation into the layout, and they showed me everything - including construction details on the terrain and the benchwork - from underneath! If you want to see the trains running, go on Sunday. If you want to look under the hood, Saturdays the day! Very realistic layout with nice weathering and several surprise features!
Killer train display on the second floor, amazing reproduction of 1920s Columbia. Very friendly members, happy to explain the displays and kid friendly too.
Very interesting artifacts and memorabilia of Columbia as well as a fantastic train layout upstairs that my grandsons and I truly enjoyed!
Two floors of beautiful model train exhibits in a converted church building. As you walk in the O sized trains are on the first floor. The HO trains are on the second floor. Both sets have been assembled with great attention given to detail and accuracy. It is quite an experience
The tour guide on the trolley was very informative.
Great spot for learning local history in Columbia, Pa. Chris Viera does a great job running the collection. He is very personable, excited about local history and is both helpful and eager to answer your questions.
