If you are willing to hike up a mountain, yes there are stairs, you will not be disappointed. The view is wonderful. Could be one of the best in Missouri. So if you are riding along the Katy Trail, I highly recommended you give your bike a break walk up to the overlook.

Grass is long and very buggy this time of year, but great overlook spot, you can see for miles.

Beautiful view! Dont follow Googles directions though, you cant get here by road. Park by Eagle Bluffs at the Katy trail and bike over on the trail.

A must stop if you are biking the Katy trail. The climb is steep, but not tremendously hard or dangerous. If you do the climb, you are rewarded with a spectacular view of the Missouri River valley.

The difficulty of the trail depends on which entrance you come from. If you are coming from the Katy trail (~6 mile round trip from McBaine), be prepared for a steep uphill climb. If you are coming from Warren School Road, it is a very pleasant, easy walk. The view is fantastic and well worth the trip from either direction. Its best to visit this spot in the late fall, winter, and early spring, as it can be a tick haven the rest of the year (the reason why Ive rated this trail 4/5 stars). I have also seen the occasional wasp and yellow jacket, so beware!Good place to have a quick picnic as long as you visit when the bugs arent too bad.

Hole in the wall bluff overlook. Perfect for sunsets. About 1 mile hike (down and back) from parking to the overlook. Parking is limited (~5 spots). There is a boardwalk at the overlook and a fire pit. The trail is not paved (mostly grass), but is very easy and accessible. The trailhead is on a gravel road. Would highly recommend for a short excursion.

Strenuous climb. Beautiful view. The climb is up a long, steep staircase. It will wind you. Great bike destination from downtown CoMo, ~13 miles one way, all on well-maintained rails-to-trails. Excellent solo sunrise yoga spot. View of bluffs and MO river floodplains. Occasional eagles in winter.

Needs markers for distance and more signs. Lots of wood bees on the deck. Nice hike.

A beautiful view of the lower lying wetlands and the spot to see all the interesting creatures that inhabit the area. The overlook is an excellent place to catch a glimpse of a bald eagle in flight or to witness several vultures riding the wind currents. Definitely worth the hike to the top to experience what its like to nearly soar with the raptors! Awe inspiring for sure.

Short half mile (approximate) hike with a beautiful view at the end. Do the hike just before sunset to experience it at its most beautiful!

Always a good chance to stretch the legs and give the butt a rest from the constant grind of the Katy Trail, this short but steep hike allows for great views of Missouri River bottom land from atop the bluff. You will occasionally see the namesake eagles from the overlook platform but will undoubtedly see buzzards wheeling in lazy circles taking full advantage of the thermal updrafts.

A great location for a mid-bike ride stop to really get a great view. I went here to see the total eclipse this year and it was spectacular. If the heavenly bodies ever align so that you can see a total eclipse here you gotta do it.

This is an awesome view of the Missouri River bottom and Eagle Bluffs waterfowl refuge. There are several ways to get there. Via KATY trail from providence landing boat ramp (1.3 Miles each way) via KATY trail from McBaine parking lot (3 miles each way) and from the parking lot off Warren school road (1/2 mile each way and no climb). Go check this out for the sunset on a sunny day!

A steep hike from the KT trail but worth the great view. I suggest parking at Warren School Rd and walking from there for an easier hike (though its a little longer). Pro-tip, go left at the fork when you reach the barn to get to the overlook.

Just off the Katy Trail, very steep hike to top. Features wooden boardwalk and lookout area over bluff. Nice view of the river, perche creek and surrounding farm land. Eagles do frequent these bluffs and not uncommon to see them circling this area.
