Might be the silliest spot in central Missouri and I love it! A few years ago I saw a photo of a person at the real Stonehenge wearing a Boathenge tee shirt which I think is great. Creative recycling at its best!
Cool old boats
Cool place to visit along the Katy trail
If you are biking the Katy trail be sure to stop. Fun place to grab some pictures and enjoy the unusual display...
Just stumbled upon this.
It’s waaaaaaY down a gravel road along the river that was flooding when we went. But it’s just a few boats stuck in the ground on private property. If you aren’t already at the crusty river bar and marina, don’t go out of your way to see this.
After following our GPS to a driveway, we made our way up the driveway to look for the boats. We were greeted by two dogs who seemed to be good guard dogs, but very friendly. The owner of the house was not so much. He yelled at us that it is private property. As walking back down the driveway we spotted the boats. It was too late to get any pictures though as the jerk was watching us leave.
Obligatory pic stop.
We tryed to visit when we were in Columbia at the beginning of July. We were lead to private property and you could barely make out the shape of a boat through the trees. We couldnt find any other way to the Boathenge.
Locals love this place.
Restaurant, live music at Providence Landing.
Neat but not for public, can still see it and the river
Unless youre really board, and dont mind driving on gravel, its pretty much a waste of time. Just a few old boats sawed off and stood on end, inside a fence posted as private property.
