Excellent place to go kayaking and catch some fish. Ive had good luck catching bass on small, dark colored crappie jigs and small spinners.

I have really enjoyed fishing this lake. About 50 acres, boat ramp. No gas powered boat motors allowed. Aslo has a nice free gun range a 1/4 mile from the lake.

Wonderful lake, beautiful forest, tons of wildlife, nice free gun ranges, several barn swallow nests on the dock, you can watch an endangered species of bats after the sun goes down from the dock eating insects over the water.

It is a very nice place if you are into the outdoors.Myself I enjoy shooting my guns. They have a very nicely set up shooting range. Not many places have covered shooting bench area like this place.The Missouri conservation department has done a fantastic job making this area availabile to the public.

Nice large covered floating deck, lots of parking, and bathrooms near the parking lot. Wheelchair accessible and wheelchair parking.

Its a peaceful place to go fishing and have fun with your family swimming and do all kinds of fun outdoor stuff

We love this lake, we come once or twice a week on summer time, monster fish here, we caught a largemouth bass over 8 pounds on August 2019, so highly recommend for those who like fishing

Great place for target practice! Almost always get to see a unique firearm, and everyone Ive met there has been really friendly. Never tried fishing there but it looks popular, like to try sometime.

Pretty good shooting range, I just wouldnt recommend going alone.

Its a big open park, great for hiking or canoeing and enjoying the outdoors. Ive seen dozens of turkey and deer all over.

Very beautiful lake to fish in. Fishing is pretty darn good most of the time. Plenty of access to restrooms. One side of the lake has a covered dock and amenities are handicap accessible.

I didnt get out of my car that day. What I did see was very beauitful.

Conservation lake its a nice lake for fishing it has a boat ramp electric motors only has a fishing dock on one side of Lake .

The fishing is ok. We have gotten bluegill and crappie. We have seen others catching bass but we couldnt cast that far.

Nice lake. Decent fishing considering the ridiculous amount of pressure it gets.

Fishing is good, crappie and bass are biting well. Minnows for crappie spinner baits and jerk baits for bass.

Perfect place to fish, hike, camp use a shooting range and get lost in the woods. I stayed here for a couple months with my Father many years ago. He caught a 50 channel out of there.

Beautiful area, but not easy to get back tio the water.

Great hiking and the views from the trails are beautiful. Getting off the trails a bit offer even more to explore. (Hint, there is at least one geocache in the park!)

Shooting range, so if youre looking for peace and quiet, it can get annoying. But the area itself is fantastic with lots of places to explore. Weve taken our bikes out here several times to just get lost in nature. Gets a little soggy after a few good rains so beware.

Only one issue (that can be managed): needs more standing lanes for the pistol range. Only two is not nearly enough. Raise the roof, or cut it back, so that people can stand and shoot from the East lanes.

Fun place to visit, hike and go fishing - dont forget to visit the waterfall (which, BTW, needs an improved sign)

There was a lot of moss and quite a few people there so it was hard to fish.

So many different free things to do when you have kids

Went to shooting range to practice for deer season. The range was full of people with auto black rifles acting poorly. Not going back. Not sure its safe. They need a full time range master.
