We stumbled onto this interesting monument the other day. On the back is an amazing depiction of Lady Liberty and the huddled masses. Quite inspiring and makes you proud to be an American.

This is a nice place to stop by for photos with easy access to the Chicago Riverwalk. There are a lot of iconic structures all around this statue such as the Marina Towers.

It was fun to see the plaque on the back of the monument.

The Heald Square Monument is a group of bronze sculptures made between 1936 and 1941 representing General George Washington and the two leading financiers of the American Revolution.

Its nice only if you can handle people trying to put their hand in your pocket.

Nice historical statue, read the plaque on the back. This is such a good location to plan to meet up with friends, lets meet at Heald Square Monument and go from there!

One poster wrote Just some dudes in capes holding hands, nbd.Please understand, this memorial commemorates possibly the 3 most important figures of the Revolution itself- Gen. George Washington, and principal financiers Robert Morris and Haym Salomon- the two latter of whom without which the war would have gone bankrupt and failed. So, just my opinion, but its not nbd, but vbd - VERY big deal
