The park is huge there are several boat rental vendors along the bank in every direction if you get there too late they will be booked though start early I like the naturalness of the park I didnt see a playground the park at some spots smelled like sewage and several parts had litter, no dog poop garbage bags or at least signs to remind pet owners. Overall the park relaxing place in the city

Beautiful lake to spend outdoor activities from kayaking, jogging, and running. Lake Austin is just on west downtown. Lady Bird Lake is one of the gems of Austin and its of course free to visit. Had a privilege to capture these moments on the lake.

Why do they call it a lake it is a river, it looks like a river... they dont call the Trinity or Brazos rivers lakes it makes no sense. A lot of people just call it the river it is a river. Not a lake. Fight me.

Most relaxing beautiful place beside the noise you hear from the freeway on top of you under Riverside bridge I go there every day feed my babies I got for girls by 20 dogs + 200 pigeon to feed every day they damn near eat out of my hand the Ducks do and already brought two peas and chicks and raise them in my apartment and took him back and release them what a relief I love that

It was out last day on a siblings trip and we ended up meeting with cousins. It was a beautiful day with amazing weather. The trees, leaves, lake, and buildings were perfect for taking pictures. Peaceful trail, really loved it.

Always fun hanging around the lake and walking the trails. There are plenty of places to rent watercraft and there are also scooters for rent that you can ride around. Very relaxing and you have to visit if youre in the area.

Ive enjoyed the trail around Town Lake for years. Plus you can rent kayaks and canoes and paddle boards. Lots of trees so can get out of the sun. Wonderful for dog walking and people watching.

Now called Lady Bird Lake, this body of water is actually a river running straight through Austin dividing it into halves. Bats congregate under the Congress street bridge and give off pungent smell as one walks or runs on the Hike and Bike trail which lines the lake on both sides. This urban oasis is truly peaceful and amazing.

Execellent Park / Lake / sight seeing for tourist and locals. You can run, walk, bike, and what ever else on these trails. Familys couples whatever!. Sometimes the city does full blown concerts! Good times. Buuuut there is not much shade so if you dont like sun then go when the sun starts setting and watch the famous bats. Google it!
