Fun playplace for the kids. Right next to a large pavilion with some grills. The path down to the boardwalk is winding and steep by walkable. Might be challenging for small kids, elderly, and people on bikes/skateboards. Once down to the boardwalk there are lots of birds to see on the loop. Swan nests, turtles, ducks, frogs, fish and golfers.
I saw swans and a bald eagle. It was a nice walk around a portion of the lake. Parking was easy.
My rating is more just a personal preference. I’m terrified of large birds and this place is littered with them. This is completely fine, but I won’t come back. Besides that the walk around the lake is so lovely!! Those birds though are too mean for me.
When my kids were young, they loved to feed the ducks, walk on the boardwalks, and climb the observation tower. There is also a playground, picnic shelter, and exercise trail. But now I mainly use it as part of my biking route around Ford Lake.
I love this park. This is the best place to go for a walk and run. I was there yesterday for a run and saw this old lady with her two dogs, the other one pooped and she doesnt care picking it up.She just turned around and continued walking. There are also some areas that poop left openly on the pathways. That is so sad that some people doesnt consider others and in fairness to those who are responsible with their pets.Lets keep our park clean!!
Very scenic park with plenty of picnic areas throughout the whlie park!! Loved the boardwalk!!
Beautiful park with great views of the lak Loved the boardwalk surrounding the lake.
Very nice and well-preserved trail! Perfect for fishing and hiking, although the trail is not too long.
Great scenery around Ford Lake
Great playground. Kids love it. Fun park
North Bay Park is a lovely, hidden gem in Ypsilanti Township. A boardwalk circles the lake filled with fish and turtles. There are also swans, ducks and two types of geese in abundance. Barn swallows fly over the lake incessantly. Its usually not crowded which is a big plus for me.
Glorious autumn foliage, picturesque wild waterfowl. Noisy along north side adjacent to expressway.
Nice park in the city. Watched the deer at sunset. Nice parking. It made for a good picnic.
Great park! My children love walking the trails, their are some mean geese sometimes but that just how geese are.
Very nice park with a great walk and view of a lake!
Beautiful park with boarwalks and bridges. Lots of wildlife to see, even a swan family.
We had so much fun here today. Long boardwalk style trails. There are a lot of trashcans throughout the park. There are also a lot of picnic tables out long the island walk. Theres an awesome lookout to climb. There are some well used bathrooms and a nice new play structure. Also some charcoal grills are in the picnic area near the shelter and play structures...and also near the parking lot. Also to note, if you dont mind walking in...you dont have to pay for a $3 day pass which is sorta neat.
A nice place with a beautiful board walk to watch swans and water lilies!
I love walking around the park in the middle of Ford lake seeing all the wildlife is awesome
It was beautiful! Much smaller than expected though
Great hike with the family.
It is beautiful.
Great boardwalk around a lake that might be a mile long
Nice walk with tbe family
Nice park. Very clean
Totally enchanting spot, tons of wildlife year round
Water, wildlife, and tons of vegetation. I go here to get 2 miles of exercise. You have to pay $3 to enter or park your car at the park and ride and walk approximately 200 feet.
Beautiful park dog and kid friendly.
A surprising chunk of wetlands in the middle of Ypsilanti. Beautiful!
Very beautiful landscape. Nice place to get away and vent.
Love this park beautiful scenery peaceful.
Love this place you get everything in one place you get to walk on the water you get to see nature you get to walk in the woods you can even go fishing and even have picnic they pavilions & grills too.
A hidden gem! Beautiful views, well maintained bridges and walkways!
It is beautiful here! I wish the paths were a little less bumpy though. My poor kids were bouncing all around in their stroller.
I really enjoy this place. Been coming here since I was a kid.. Its huge and offers nice scenery. Its a great park!
Hidden gem! Definitely will be coming back with kiddo
Beautiful park!
Nice long walk along the waters edge.
I had a great time here with my kids especially liked the long board walk
Our favorite park in the Ann Arbor/ Ypsi area!! Lots of wildlife in the spring/summer/fall. Deer, geese, swans, ducks, etc.
Gotta pay attention other wise u miss it
Nice park to take a walk.
February 23,2020 ... 53 degrees today. Had to go for a walk!
Great place, nice and quiet.
So much preserved natural land that there is a incredibly diverse wildlife population. Along long the paths, its super peaceful and not terribly busy.Everything is also wheelchair accessible!!!
Good view of the lake; the trail may be messy in some areas with Geese droppings.
I love coming here with my family! Such a beautiful relaxing place. We love to just walk around and enjoy. We see people fishing and picnicking. Its a great place to unplug and enjoy the view, nature and each others company.
Nice little park
This is a nice place to take a stroll. Its quite and scenic
I love to run this park ️ its great for peace and tranquility!
Love it here
This place is a wonderful little hidden gem. Barely could even find it or even knew about it, but the view and park is so beautiful that you need to go here. Its a beautiful experience.
BEAUTIFUL nature trails.
Beautiful way to spend the day!
Loved the pond and large fenced in area. Wish we would would have had more time and it was cooler for exploring the vast park.
Love this place so beautiful so much fun so many different types of animals
Completely peaceful, until the geese chase you, but a cool little walk.
Great place for a power walk or an afternoon of learning about nature for the little ones.
Great new playground with woodchip covering, playground is near bathrooms and two shelters. Playground has two sections - one is geared towards toddler/preschool age kids. There are picnic tables and 3-4 grills near the shelters. There is a separate grill located in the field across from the playground area. There is a (steep) walkway down to the water. Ample parking, note that you have to pay to enter - approx $3/day but there are also annual passes available for $10 for ypsi residents.
Having havent explored it all yet but its a nice place to walk your dog thats for sure. Doesnt seem to be any garbage laying around anywhere the kids play area seems to be maintained well
Not the most trim of parks, but well maintained and unique. Its really cool to walk among the islands and watch the fish and swans.
Very nice walk or jog, wild life and scenic views. Nice for a date..lol
Gentle wave & refreshing breezes & friendly helpful personnel greet the visitor here
Lovely park to walk around and take pictures of wildlife. There is a playground and pavilion at the entrance, then down the hill is the lake. Be warned though, the hill is steep and can be difficult to get back up. Fishing is allowed and you can catch bass and carp. There are mute swans and Canadian geese o plenty here. You can also see turtles and songbirds. It is advised to not feed the animals.
Love this place, ever need to clear your mind or just have a good time, this is the place
Beautiful park.
Favorite park in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area. Laid out so beautifully with a circular walkway of tiny wooden bridges, plank walkways, and tree-lined walkways going over and around the lake which is busy with beautiful ducks & geese. Great place for a stroll, peaceful sunset walks, and runs. The only drawback is that the part of the park that goes around the lake is not ideal for playing with a dog (ideal being a big field for throwing a ball). Definitely check this one out.
The water is beautiful, and it is a great place to take a stroll or a jog but the amount of trash along the way is very disappointing. Liquor bottles, McDonalds wrappers etc. Why even come here if youre just going to destroy it?
I love seeing the swans and lillypads
One of my favorite places to walk and just be out in nature.
Beautiful scenery, pretty clean for the most part and good trials for the whole family.
Bring the kids for s fine day in the park.
This is a really cool park. Feeding the ducks and fish in the summer is a lot of fun.
Beautiful scenery and park with nice trails
Love walking around this park! The trail over the water is nice and theres something m exercise events all over the trail. Be careful enough, swan and geese breeding grounds.
Beautiful!
Awesome walking space, fantastic play area for children of all ages, romantic scenery... Some of the best things Ypsilanti has to offer.
Wonderful place to go for a peaceful run. It’s quiet and never crowded
Absolutely loved it. Its a very peaceful place to go.
Very impressed with changes made for handicapped both children & adults!
Wow!dont just a book by its cover!small and clean up front with a playground and almost left and decided to walk my dog down a little path and WOW!!opens up into a beatiful(far as u can see)lake bubbling with wildlife and mile long wooden boardwalk with lookout towers, sunken in the woods picnic spots and tables everywhere.i loved the wildlife, the view, and the multi color trees and plantlife made for an epic walk for my dog and me!loved it.tx
Its great for family we go fishing and walking
Beautiful place
Love this park! Gets a little buggy when its warm out, but sunset walks here are nearly a perfect way to end the day.
Very relaxing
My family has come to walk the trails here for years. One year while walking we ran into Greg Kinnear while he was in town shooting for a movie! Its a great activity to take the entire family for. You can even make a day of it, bbq etc.
Beautiful park. I love the Bridges and turtles. Nice place to take pictures or run
Beautiful place for a nature walk.
Nice place to get away for a long walk
Beautiful park!! Love walking the trails and along the bridges. I have taken so many beautiful pictures there of nature and animals I cant even count.
