Ford lake park is a great place to spend the day, they have 3 boat launch pads and plenty of picnic areas. The park also has some tennis courts and a basketball court and playground. Go spend the day at ford lake park, its nice.
Come here often with my family whenever Im in Michigan. Its great for riding a jet ski if you have one, minimal waves so you can go really fast. I think there is only one shelter but there are plenty of picnic benches. They also have tennis, basketball and volleyball courts
Cute little park, not sure about water quality. Looked around, picked up trash for 15 minutes, saw a syringe on t beach, then left. You ppl(guests) cant pick up trash once in a while?
Great park, nice pickleball courts and tennis courts. Great playground for the little kids and open fields as well!
Great location for Tennis & Pickleball.
Closes at dusk... Learned that the hard way. Other than that, an awesome park!
If you are in Ypsi and desire slipping away to someplace a bit more peaceful, this may be your spot. Fishing, hiking, biking, throw around, or just enjoy being outside in a nice setting.
This is a nice park. Enjoyed the remodeled tennis courts.
Our 1st time there and the park is so spacious and clean.
Great courts. Friendly players.
Cool park but no swimming unfortunately
The water is kinda stagnant... Its also heavily advised that you dont eat any fish you catch out of the lake. But sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous here. You also can see local high school and college rowing teams practice here, which is really cool.
One of my favorite places to go for walks because of the beautiful scenery. The views of the lake are beautiful and I also enjoy all the greenery and birds chirping. There are 3 areas with shelters with picnic tables and grills as well as grills and picnic tables scattered around the park. Making this a great place for picnics and/or grilling out. This park also has multiple places for fishing including the boat ramp.
Not bad at all
Beautiful water so clear!
Love it there a lot!
Nice park. Good for gathering and lots of options. Basketball court, tennis court, kids play areas, soccer field, and baseball field
I boat look for mushrooms, walk, ice fishing, and some times site and watch nature.
Very clean park. A lot of awesome amenities. $10 annual fee to get in is awesome. Ill be paying it yearly now!!!
Its a nice, clean park with a few play structures and fields for sports.
Pretty area on the river. Nice Pavillions for picnics and great boat ramps and parking.
Nice place to relax inside a big city..do some fishing..grill...and just plain enjoy the day..
Best Park in the area. Really nice views and a great place for walking. It has basketball courts and a play ground. Its an ideal spot for picknicking, there are some grills as well! Also okay-fishing.
Place was great, everyone was so nice. Great place to swim and go out on a boat.
A lot of wide open space very nice tennis courts
Quiet, nice view, and fish, if you can catch them.
Love for lake.. we have our soccer game there and its a nice place to to boating.
This is a premier destination hands down the most Beautiful scenery in all of Washtenaw County. Just a wonderful place to visit relax and recharge Im telling everyone who hasnt seen this place its a must see!!! You are really missing something very special!!!
This park could use a little more walker friendly paths along the lake, but other than that it was very clean and family friendly. Im not sure what the hours of the bathrooms are, but they were all locked when we were there around 7:30-8:00 p.m.
Great lake!
One of the nicest public boat launches in the area. Easy parking with boat trailers. Usually launch and boat during the week, never been there on weekends. Hardly any other boat traffic during the week. Never turned away because of no parking available. True, extra cost for being a non-resident of Washtenaw county, but definitely worth the cost ($20 for yearly non-resident boat launch permit). Always a very helpful park “ranger” on duty when Park is open....understand park closes at dusk, whatever time that is? Sundown? Never been harassed..... True, Ford Lake is not the cleanest water, but very nice scenery around the lake. What’s nice is it’s less than 10 minutes away!!!!
Great place .
Very nice except for an old man living next to the park in a white house who just sat in his gray van watching everyone. Kinda scary
This park has a nice combination of shaded walk ways, grassy areas, a small beach and a boat ramp. There are a few pavilions available for get together soon with bathrooms and grills. For families with kids there are also 2 small play structures.Other options include a baseball court, racket ball and tennis courts. And now there are also pickleball courts. Its one of the cleanest parks in the Ypsilanti area.
Ford Lake Park has the best Pickleball courts in Washtenaw County!!
I walk this trail all the time with my furbabies
It has 3 tennis courts and 6 pickleball courts in a very clean and fenced in area!!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!
Great place to take the boat out. The geese can get a little annoying though
Nice park. I visited dfor some shore fishing, but didnt catch anything. The lark itself was great. There is a boat launch here too.
Looking forward to another season of getting out on the lake and exercise/relax. Makes for a good stretch to do that. Sunsets are really nice too.
Beautiful and quiet park that we often visit. Not the greatest for fishing spots. We have taken the boat out a couple of times without much luck here. We will continue trying different methods. Otherwise keep it clean!
Been going there my WHOLE life!! LOVE Ford lake!!! The water gets algea around August but thats ok. Take the boat out there all season long. They have really cleaned it up over the last few years... So glad I can take my children there and share with them what my parents shared with me!!! Love the island in middle of lake!!! Love to anchor the boat in the cove across from the beach and just chill for a few hours. Would DEFINITELY recommend this park to EVERYONE!!!! LOVE IT!!!!
A nice place for the family to enjoy. Play grounds, basketball court, tennis courts, lots of space, and picnic areas.
It has 2 basketball hoops; thats all I wanted
Great time fishing. Small mouth bass. Carp ect
2 Good basket ball hoops and they had a shelter where I could go while it was raining
Didnt feel like I was going to be stabbed here.
Nice Nd clean3
Fun family walk and fishing
Awesome tennis courts
Nice park with a pretty view of the lake. Lots of trees, picnic tables, grills, a few covered shelters, a couple small play areas with older equipment, ball field, walking trails, tennis. No swimming/wading, due to deep drop offs and unsafe bottom, but you can put your feet in.I was there with young kids and I thought theyd be bored but they loved playing by the water and rolling down the hills around the trails. (Watch out for goose droppings!)Would be a lovely place to sit by the water and relax on a nice day.$5/car entry fee/day.The kids said theyd even like to come back.
Frozen lake.. a tranquil scenery.. a place to chill out!!
Good play area for the kids bathrooms need to be cleaner
Id love it but its $5 dollars to park.
Its an OK park. Nothing special. Tennis courts and basketball courts.
Families are seen picnicking sitting together on blankets with picnic basket (no cell phones). Dogs are playing, and you can watch the boats & jet skis & sail boats
Nice park!
