Frog Island Park is my favorite park in Ypsilanti, Michigan. It’s hidden very close to Depot town and I think it’s better than the park right next to it which is Riverside Park. There’s a really cool old soccer field and an asphalt track. Usually there’s very few people there and it’s just a great place to be. I love walking down by the river too. I wish they still played soccer there.

This is a perfect little spot to walk n relax. Not crowded. The park is great. The water is very clean. Some people dont know how to use a garbage can because there are plenty of them. yet you run into quite a bit of random trash. Other than that its perfect. Easy to social distance. Porter potties were decent and easily accessible

Love the trail next to the river. Usually quiet and very lovely.

Here for the All Hallows Illumination of Frog Island Park - it’s a cool place at night, the park is well lit.

Often chill and free of Karens. Good spot to jog around the track or kick back on the grass with a beer.

A great place to relax have a picnic walk around the track go across the street and do some fishing

Park was filthy. With tons of spray painted graffiti and not the cool kind. The kind id prefer my kids not to see. Clean your shorts Ypsi!!

The park has 2 sides and i enjoy the little downtown in the middle

I visited the farmers market, very hospitable and their prices are very reasonable.

Very nice, in downtown Ypsilanti. Beautiful nature walk, but the trails arent all paved. Lots of scenery, including shops, restaurants and buildings.

The park is sometimes a tad rundown, but I would give it 4 stars for being a beautiful place with very nice atmosphere. It is a nice spot for a short walk.

You can see the entire area with the walkway and along the riverside. Depends on when you go and what you are seeking: a quiet meditative walk or busy “hello” to the weekenders and street people.

Water, gardens, a gazebo, football field, benches, trees...what else do u need?!?

I like to walk the park with my son. Not much for activity but a nice atmosphere. They do have fishing demos and festivals in the summer. Ok sledding in the winter. Fishing isnt bad

Nice and clean, sometimes you can see a soccer game. Its on the Huron River and has geese and swans ducks. Hard to believe its in the city. A short walking distance from food, entertainment, bars and ice cream

I live about a mile from here. Its a decent park. During the summer its kept clean, people are friendly and theres a section that is styled like a small amphitheater when there are performances. Gets busy when there are festivals and vendors. Just have to avoid the usual riff raff that tend to pop up at places like this.

Didnt even go into the park and was offput by the amount of litter and garbage in the poorly maintained parking lot.

Frog Island is a nice place to walk or sit and have lunch. Not super big or a place to plan to spend your whole day. Good place to walk the dog. Would not recommend walking after dark as a female alone.

Very pretty place.

I have lots of good memories here. As a child, I sled the hills in the winter, went to the heritage festival and did a lot of fishing here as well. It is rich in history, pottawaname trail, sorry about my spelling! and French fur trader. I am a proud Cherokee, and grateful for the land. Proud of Ypsilanti as my home, I joined the Army, served in Desert storm, and returned. I just love the place and wonderful people here.

This place is Sweet!

This is a very popular place is the first time Ive ever been there is quite off season just walking around. I actually couldnt believe how filthy it was and it wasnt just the time of year there was broken glass there was graffiti the trees and the wood just had so much trash sitting inside I was so disappointed I really believed Ypsilanti could at least do better on this particular Park. I will go back this summer and leave another review I like the area I just couldnt believe how filthy was. For the area and a college community they should be ashamed of their self.

I like this park because of the track, I like to run on it and relax. Yet, I smell a lot of marijuana because of the people walking by and I see a lot of people drinking alcohol in the park. I wouldnt bring my kid here for that reason and its disappointing because I love Ypsilanti. Trash strewn about as well.

Frog island is a great park to visit. Its a short walk from depot town.

We like walking around. I do find some strange characters are lurking under the bridge at times which makes me a bit uncomfortable. The track is fun to run around!

This place is in such a busy area HOWEVER it is so peaceful!! It is so peaceful. It is an amazing area to chill out from busy life! Me and my daughter hung out there for hours collecting seashells trying to skip rocks still working on that lol. It is an amazing place just to pull over your car or even walk to 2 skip rocks plants find seashells so many things to do here and its just a hop skip and a jump from busy life all around you! If you want to call and place to go this is it!
