One of the real jewels of Washtenaw county! A really nice place to walk your dog (must be on a leash) or just to walk and admire the changing seasons. If your so inclined, you can partake in the water park during the summer. Did I mention its a great place to ride a bike or have a picnic? There is even a pond for fishing (need license). Rolling Hills really has something for everyone.
If youre looking for peace, quiet and some serenity, visiting the Rolling Hills park will give you all of this. There are fishing docks, bike trails and stumps or benches where you can sit a while and take in nature. The wide open fields are inviting and large enough to set up for volleyball, badminton, or frisbee throwing. Picnick tables and parking areas are also clean and generous. Only downside is that if you dont live in Washtenaw County you have to pay $10.00 to get in. I would advise planning ahead so that you have ample time to enjoy all the trails.
Lots of nice trails and well groomed bike paths. The employees so an excellent job keeping everything looking great. Easy parking and access from the main road. The apple orchard its right across the street, grab some cider and enjoy a nice fall day.
Great disc golf course and putting labrynth is a very unique addition to the course. Second course coming soon. The only downfall is that its pay to play and the holes are hard to find and a decent distance apart sometimes. The UDisc app will help you navigate the course. Water park, sledding, xc skiing. Rolling hills is a great little gem in ypsilanti!
What a wonderful resource at the edge of suburbia! There is a variety of flat and hilly terrain, grassy and wooded areas, paved and unpaved biking / hiking trails, playgrounds, disc golf, sledding, fishing pond, and a water park (currently closed).
Great county park! Tons of paved trails (as well as mountain biking trails), playgrounds, soccer fields with goals, fields to play, pavilions, sledding hill, 2 great disc golf courses along with a putting course, not to mention the water park!
Beautiful park. Visited for a baby shower, pavilion was right next to the park. Not too busy and clean. Employees were very nice
Love the disc golf course and MTB trails. The only down side is the cost of admission when your not a resident. It can get a bit pricey compared to a Metropark pass or the bargain that is the start park passport
Great trails, paved and unpaved. Lots to do and beautiful fall colors especially.
Beautiful park with paved paths ideal for running, biking, and roller blading! By far my favorite running trail in my area.
Great park for the whole family. Playgrounds, outings, disc golf; you name it, its a great time.
Went to Rolling hills for the disc golf. Great course, good exercise, and wonderful scenery.
The park is peaceful, spacious, and beautiful. The water park is fun and family friendly.
The water park at Rolling Hills is super fun. There are big water slides for people 42 inches up. The new splash pad is great for little ones. Theres a lazy river, wave pool, another pool with a water fall, a tube slide, a nice play structure.... theres so much fun to be found here. The food there is reasonably priced and good.
Really clean park, The disc golf course is beyond taken care! GREAT course
Great for a quick bike ride. Nice picnic areas
Great water park!! We’ve been going here for 3 yrs now for some summertime fun! Kids enjoy the water slides & wave pool. Fun for all ages. Splash pads too for the little ones. Concession stand is always busy for lunch & snacks. Locker- changing rooms are clean.
Trails are amazing to spend your time running, walking or bicycle....main entrance of the park look so neglected from the time we are facing. Grass havent cut or growing in any form . Hopefully things get better soon and the meantime we enjoy the trails.
I just discovered the bike trails! There water park is awesome for a local park. The concessions include freshly grilled burgers and chicken sandwiches (delicious). Like everyone else, they are currently struggling with the Corona lockdown.
Nice county park. Very good disc golf course, with an excellent putting/warmup course.
The water park was so fun for all 3 of my boys (2, 8 & 10) and so was disc golf. The course itself was not ideal for young kids but the nature along the way made play time for the adults easier. Definitely making multiple visits next summer. Being able to leave the waterpark to have packed lunch saved on an already inexpensive trip was awesome and the drive was quick and easy from Toledo
Its a great park, lots of staff, very affordable. However there was zero warm water to shower with, Ive showered there several times in the past with no issues. I asked the staff and they did not have a clue how to fix it after I tried nine different showers, all cold water which to me is gross. That means no one took a shower before they got in or when they got out. I saw one mother force a six-year-old to take an ice cold shower. Thats just ridiculous. Also Im wondering if their pH levels are off because I saw three kids personally with nosebleeds. Ive been to this water park probably 15 times and this is the first time Ive experienced anything negative.
Really great park. Lots to do. My family and I really enjoy riding bicycles on the path and spending time at the playground. Havent tried the disc golf course in the woods yet but look forward to it. We went sledding for the first time recently after the snowfall and had a ton of fun!
Beautiful, well kept course, with unique landscape. Putt putt is on point. Take time to play the labyrinth.
I was here to ride the mountain bike trails. Not bad, a couple of loops and some paved path if you want to ride that as well. You can get in about a 10 mile ride.
Rented a lot she didn’t keep her word on mowing agreements moved out now wouldn’t rent again if I had to not a good landlord she has people she knows leave reviews and has the bad ones removed this is my second time to review
Good for rollerblading early in the morning! Avoid the forests when doing it, however, the paths have many sticks and twigs that can cause a fall.
Absolutely love the disc golf course here! Nice technical course for all levels. Played the putting course for my first time and it was really fun. I love the concept!
Great place to walk or bike in summer or sled or country ski in winter. Great disc golf course & water park.
Its a fun place to go! Lots of water activities including a really nice toddler play area! Its a very clean Park and very well-maintained! Very strict about eating inside the pool area you must picnic outside of the pool area although they do have a little concession stand where you can buy hot dogs and salads and and different things like that! The pool areas, particularly the wave pool area, are very well staffed with lifeguards and theyre very good and a very attentive! overall I recommend Rolling Hills Water Park 4 a fun day out with your family and friends!
I had my baby shower in the Great Room this pass Friday . They are wonderful people, very professional, nice and answered every question I needed answered. I had NO PROBLEMS with them bringing anything I needed and the space worked out perfectly for my event ! I would definitely recommend :) great price too for an all day event !Jan 2020: updates review ... so I’ve been waiting for my $50 to come back to me for the cleaning fee that I was suppose to receive afterwards, still hasn’t came I have called numerous of times and they give me the run around, I would not recommend this place if you are like me and don’t play about your money ️
Well kept paths for biking and hiking, ample parking, tons of shaded open space for enjoying the outdoors
Lots to do, nice facilities. The kids live the water park. Good place for biking and running. Frisbee golf course looks fun. Sledding options for the winter. There is a price to get in and for some of the facilities, but not too bad.
One of the best disc golf courses around. Very clean. Very well kept. They put down wood chips if it gets muddy. Bugs can be really bad though. Have had to leave after eight holes before because of the bugs. So just bring bug spray.
I often visit Rolling Hills with my family. Its beautiful and a great place for off-road biking, road biking, and hiking. I hear that the disc golf course is excellent, but Ive never tried it.
Went here to play a tournament at the disc golf course. Super nice and fun course. The name of the park lives up to it because some holes on the course are quite hilly. Nothing too steep though.
My favorite disc golf course! Only complaint is the fact that they charge $10 to park and $2 to play..just seems steep.
Miles of paved trails through planes & forest, and around a lake. Backwoods bike trails also. Water park is closed during Covid.
Wonderful place for all ages. Brought my 1 year old and my 8 year old and they all had a blast. No food allowed in the park but there are lots of grassy places to sit and eat a packed lunch and then go back inside. Lots of fun
Excellent disc golf courses. One of my favorites. Beautiful well maintained park.
Great place for children of all ages
Great hills on their disc golf course and the labyrinth putting course is quite fun.
Beautiful nature walk, great date idea.
Single- track Dirt trails are surprisingly unpredictable, well groomed, highly varied in many different obstacles, terrain, and levels of skill rated map directories.
I like Rolling Hills primarily for bicycling on its road and pathway. Currently the entrance booth is unmanned due to extremely low attendance (the water park is closed) so no entrance fee. This may not be true on weekends.
Great disc golf course, tees have been redone and look really great!
Great disc course well maintained.
Has one of the best disk golf courses around! 10$ to get in.
Its a fun place to go! Lots of water activities including a really nice toddler play area! Its a very clean Park and very well-maintained! The pool areas, particularly the wave pool area, are very well staffed with lifeguards and theyre very good and a very attentive.
Tons of paved walking trails. Beautiful scenery.
A really great place for families to stay cool in the summer. Kept very clean. A good variety of different water activities for different ages. My only complaint was the length of time the concession stand took to get food and the smoke from the grill getting in our eyes as we waited. Overall, we had a blast
Well maintained, nice little park
Had our own picnic party right outside the gate. The kids had a blast in the waterpark. (Wish there was a group rate or family discount... we have a lot of kids and its $10 a head for residents of the county) Still, a 5 star rating for me. The people working in the park were very polite and kind. They even drove around and handed out giant garbage bags to everyone picnicking! Smart on their part, nice for the environment, convenient for us!
We had such a wonderful time at the Rolling Hills Water Park. I was impressed with how clean it was and I thought the lifeguard staff was outstanding! We enjoyed the reasonably priced food and even had an ice cream treat (kids meal $4, ice cream $2). Overall a very good day trip, HIGHLY recommend!!
Awesome park with new toddler features recently updated. Pool looks clean. Suitable for all families. Decent bathrooms. Food is concession type priced and not as good/fast/value as expected. We mostly eat nearby outside from home since you cant bring anything. Theres not so much shade inside either.
Its a fun place but i would NOT recommend using your credit card here. i was charged twice. when i called, i was on hold for 15 minutes and was told that the person who issues refund is not available. its been 15 days, no call back. so i reported it to the credit card company this time.
Rolling Hills is perfect for all ages and abilities!! We visited after lunch and found a nice shaded spot under a tree. Our special needs daughter had a variety of options to play from the splash pad in her adaptive stroller to the lazy river! Well worth the time, money, and efforts!!
Beautiful place. Paved walking trails and lots of space to play. There is a cool playground for the kids, picnic spots with grills, soccer fields for days and of course the water park. The entrance fee is worth it because the park is nicely maintained. We recently went for the first time for the Walk and Wag fundraiser benefitting Huron Valley Humane society. It was a perfect place to host a large event.I found a four leaf clover and a $5 token for the Farmers market when I took my 4 year old to run around. I will definitely be going back this summer
Wonderful staff, everything was kept clean, and we had tons of fun! great for kids and adults of all ages. green slide and lazy river were personal favorites! the waves in the wave pool only came once every 10 minutes, but it was always worth the wait!!!! there is a slide for everyone, whether youre a kid hanging in the kiddie area or looking for a fun time on the body slide... did not disappoint. we were only there for an hour and a half, but definitely got our moneys worth thanks to the 5pm discount.
Nice park, clean and fun. Was a very busy day, would have been nice if more windows were open for entry and concessions. Nobody wants to spend their outing in line.
Good bike trail and Frisby Golf
I am a mother of two kids ages 5 and 6 and we went to rolling hills water park for the first time and we all enjoyed the entire day. This is the first time the kids were tall enough to go on all the water slides the height here is 42 inches where most places are 48 inches. Excellent place and we will be back soon.
Great place summer or winter there’s nature all around just come and see
Great park for a 3.1 mile run !
Lots of fun! Can be a bit crowded though.
Disc golf course is challenging and beautiful. Lots of walking trails and overlooks.
Amazing day with family :)
We loved it. Its not an all day thing unless youre bbq outside only 4 slides, lazy river and wave pool, so not much to do and kids will eventually get bored. I had 6 freshmen high schoolers. They enjoyed it
Really nice facility. Great for a hot day. They have a wave pool, lazy river with single tubes and couples tubes, and 5 different water slides. Is a ton of fun. Even when decently pack, theres enough to do with it sucking the fun from it.
There are tube water slides and body water slides, a wave pool, lazy river, and kids pool with a waterfall. The lifeguards are well trained. The rest room and changing facilities were clean and well maintained. The snack shop is very reasonable. And all the staff is friendly. From what I can tell, traing, safety and security are a priority.
Ive been going there since the early 90s.The prices are great! No kid is disappointed!
Its a great water park. Lucky to have it in our county! They have a great Splash pad for kids. It can get pretty busy on a hot day!
Good-Peoples
Love this place. Clean, relaxing and fun place to go with your family for the day thats not expensive. Just dont like the $10 parking to get in is a little much I think when the water park tickets are $10 also.
This is a really great water for kids (Id say optimally under 10). There is a wave pool, 4 water slides, a splash pad, a lazy river, and a pool area. They check your bag, so dont bring food in.
I took my kids to this single sledding hill on a Tuesday from about 2 oclock to 4pm on a snow day. It was not too crowded and the walk back up the hill was not that bad, even for my 6 year old. We had to pay $6 to park though. Wasnt really expecting that but they take cash or cc so it was fine. The other kids at the hill seemed to think our extra sleds were just a free-for-all so plan on guarding your sleds and chasing them down when its time to go. I highly recommend putting your name on your sleds! There are no attendants or rentals. They had bathrooms, FYI.
It was a really fun time and I wanna go again some time soon
Rolling Hills is probably the best county park Ive been in. Very clean and nature filled and plenty of things to do with the family. Theres paved and mountain bike trails, a challenging disc golf course and tons of play areas. The water park looks pretty good although I have not been to it since a grade school birthday party! My one gripe is this and its not toward the actual park employees, but I despise that its a 10 dollar fee to enter the park for one single day for those of us that do not reside in Washtenaw County. Other county parks that offer similar amenities do not charge anything and these parks arent quite up to metro park quality. I just dont agree that visitors should have to pay equal or MORE than a metro park to enter.
Good riding there... Good mix of off and on road trails...watch for pedestrians... Good idea to have a bell or other signaling device...
This was a fun and challenging course. The only downfall is that there are picker bushes absolutely everywhere. Be sure you wear jeans.
We go to the waterpark about once a week or so. Prices are great($10.00 to park and on weekdays it is $8.00 I think for non residents) it is very family friendly, very clean. Once you get in. Its not as big as you would hope right away, but there is everything you need there! The wave pool is my favorite. The grill is very resealable and delicious! Try it, especially if you have little kids too!
Been twice whenever family come to town to visit, prices arent bad and the outdoor facility is perfect if you have small children and want to keep everyone in a safe distance. My 5 year old was terrified to go down the slide and rightfully so because he ended up getting stuck halfway down, the staff was nice and went down the slide to get him the rest of the way!
Water park is awesome. Bathrooms are super clean. At their food court the line was super long 45 minute wait. But it was worth it good was great.
It was an amazing day in the late summer chill. Since kids dont care about chilly weather the crouds drive away the crowds. When you get done with the water park the paths and nature walk are the tops.
Celebrated my nieces birthday there. Had a great time. Very clean and plenty of life guards present.
We had a graduation party in the Great Room at the Lodge. A perfect settling with windows all around, green space, play areas, etc. Beautiful park. So impressed.
Great for a long walk
Very nicely carved out course with manageable tee distance but still challenging. I loved my visit to the course.
Clean. Lifeguards are visible everywhere. Good staff. A lot of picnic tables and seating every. We had a good time as a family.
Great clean water. I love the new splash pad and little kids park. Highly recommended!
Love this water park..very clean.
We had an amazing time. It got really busy after 3pm.
The water park is small but great for a sunny day. Bring picnic supplies for the outside tables and bbq pits- cant bring in food or drinks, only water bottles to the water park... the rest of the park is clean and was nice. Overall a great day off spot!
