This little park could be very very nice, but it’s not very clean there’s kind of a lot of trash around. I wish it was better lit at night and I wish they would clean it up more often I would like going for a walk here with my dog. Hopefully it gets better because it’s right by the river.

The park it self is very sketchy. I would not recommend bringing kids here to play. It is a good fishing spot though. If the city would take the time to maintain it allot better, it would be a great place to hang out with family and friends. It does have a very beautiful view of the river, great to watch the setting sun.Overall, 3/5 stars

Bad for fishing. So many broken lines littering the river. All I cought was tangles of fishing lines, including two snags so bad I had to cut my own line. Tried multiple spots above and below the damn. Nothing but snags.

Theres not much walking around to do but it is by the water. Some say its an alright fishing spot. You can see the paper mill but you can only go near it because its falling apart. Has a small area with picnic tables under a pavilion with a portipotty thats broken.

Ive caught 5 catfish over 10 lbs in my life (up to 20#)...guess where each one is from...and ive only done 10% of my catfishing there ever at most.

Wasnt expecting a Walleye. So not a bad spot once water levels go down, also if youre targeting Walleye, aim for right before and after dark.

The city of ypsi need to clean it up some. You need a yardstick to measure the depth of the potholes thru the drive..

It is a very nice park to walk. Nice scenic views of the Huron river watershed. Although it needs to be cleaned up pretty bad. Lots of illegal dumping and throwing of trash. The locals need to take better care of this gem.

Nice park on the water with picnic tables and charcoal grills to cook on. I launched my kayak and fished abive the dam. Park is a little bit dirty from people who cant pick up after themselves. My group made a point of picking up our entire picnic area

Nothing like a park with a dilapidated, graffiti-covered old building next to a dam. I guess its considered a park because it technically has at least one picnic table with a broken seat and sketchy people sitting in their cars. Its definitely missing a playground. If it had one Id take my two boys there in a heartbeat! No. I definitely wouldnt. I just needed to make sure you knew that was sarcasm.

The abandoned factory gives the place a certain cool factor.

Nice little park with interesting views of the remains of the old Peninsular Paper Company building and the associated dam that spans the Huron River. Accessible by wheelchair users with some difficulty as accessibility was obviously not an intent of the designer.

This park has a nice view of a dam on the Huron River, and an interesting abandoned factory. However, it is barely maintained and seems to be a place for less desirable activities.
