This park is beautiful. Its a great place to see nature, turtles, geese, go fishing or on a paddle boat. Also there is a boat launch for kayakers.

Outstanding wetlands habitat. Offers picnic options, hiking, bird and wildlife watching. Excellent opportunities to relax, learn, and enjoy nature.

Never knew these wetlands existed! It was a pleasant surprise and an enjoyable walk. Well maintained, quiet and a wonderful place to see different wildlife. I will enjoy visiting multiple times this summer and maybe even enjoy a picnic here vs some of the more overcrowded parts of Mill Creek Park.

Love Lake Newport for kayaking. Saw two great white herons this evening, along with the usual cormorants and blue herons. Unfortunately, its getting increasingly difficult to go deeply in the wetlands, due to increasing silt. Hopefully, there is some dredging scheduled for the future

What a great place to meditate and just decompress from lifes stressors, as well as taking the kids to teach them about nature, this is just a great place to enjoy such a rare gem of nature. Take note of the walk way, Ive been told that its manufactured out of used tires.

Always a nice way to unwind and reflect on our role in nature while walking in this location.

Lovely little path. Benches are places around the boardwalk so that you may sit and watch the wild life.

Great area for cookouts, however people walk their dogs beyond the allowed area. Better watch your step.

Absolutely beautiful. A slight breeze while sitting on a bench looking out upon the lake. I see that and all this craziness melts away for awhile.

Great place in mill creek park to have a picnic, go for a walk on a path, boardwalk, or trails. Lots of wildlife to see here: many different birds including songbirds, kingfishers, herons, and have seen an eagle here on a few occasions. Deer, bevers, fish, turtles etc. Kayaks available too.

I always love hiking the East Islands and Chanels trail. It is 1 mile and has loads of wildlife and wildflowers. It can be a bit mucky after a rain, so be sure to wear shoes that you dont mind getting dirty.

I really like the wetlands. If you walk the trails instead of the boardwalk you so so much wildlife. I came within 15 ft of a deer & saw a young buck just across the water surrounded by waterfowl. I also came across an area with many tiny tiny young frogs just out of their tadpole stage. Definitely one of the best places to hike in the park

Part of the Mill Creek Park. Nice isolated bike/hike lane on east side and paths on the west side. Daffodil meadow is nice when in bloom. Simple kayak launch ad well.

Nice place to walk

Great place to visit and learn about the construction and restoration of the Newport Wetlands. Plenty of picknick tables and barbeque pits available. Bathrooms available nearby.

I love seeing all the wildlife and plants, handicap accessible also. I use a scooter to get around and even a wheelchair would do well, there are a couple of steep areas, but just because of the warping of the wood.
