We took a group of third graders to observe some invertebrates that can be found in the area. Very cool! Kids had a great time exploring under Ricks and digging in the dirt.
The displays are old and information limited. But the small library is a nice place to study or birdwatch from the windows.
First time there. Its free. Good accurate displays of nature in the Park indoors. Half mile nature walk outdoors. Renovation coming this year.
My kids always love going there! Cant wait to see the remodel!!!
Ford Nature Center is located on Southend of Yo. Wonderful ed center where kids of all ages can see live turtles swim & snakes creep & crawl in their tanks. Rescued animal skins & stuffed creatures native to YO. Small gift shop w lil treasures. Educated, kind staff eager for your visit!
I just love going to Ford Nature Center. The Discovery Room is great for young children and in the summer they have a bee hive you can watch.
Small but very nice place.. workers were very nice as well....
The home itself is almost completely closed off. There is some cool kid activities in one room, a very sparse library, and some meh animal exhibits. The biggest part is the gift shop. The trails behind are mostly untended and parts are seriously dangerous. I went hoping to see a historical home but I was very, very disappointed. The only thing to look at on the trails are the roads below.
Amazing historical trail. Maze like, almost majestic. Lots of old structure and walls on the trails. Super fun. Overgrown trails to explore. Huge rock wall to climb in the fall and spring.
Love Mill Creek Park and its facilities!
This place brings me such joy with its beauty ! Bravo to all involved in working so hard to make this the gem that it is !!
Cant wait for the renovation
Historical, peaceful, great place for nature Lovers.
Job interview. I didnt get the job but I still love the park. Its Youngstowns greatest asset!
Have been going here for 30yrs with my dad! Love this little gem! Happy to be able to share the experience with my children
Beautiful area good to walk around with the kids
I have been coming here with grandkids for over 20 years. Love the trails, staff and building. Exhibits are ratty, old, and need serious change. Plans are in the works for major changes in 2019.
It is a lovely building, full of interesting displays, seated in a wooded setting. Start witjh The Peoples Trail and move on to Cohasset drive & the trail beside the lake. The staff is really helpful & can give you loads of Park information.
Ford Nature Center is a nice relaxing place with some live animals and other animals stuffed during the last century. A highlight is the bird window, where you can watch many varieties of feathered friends.
Great place to bring the kids(also be sure to go to the nearby Lilly pond) and its all free
Everyone should check this place out. I can remember going here on field trips as a kid. It s an exciting learning experience for kids & adults alike. Check the park website & or calendar of events for special events & functions.
Beautiful. Cant wait to return.
Awesome place cant beat it for free
Great building and grounds with a few braided trails behind it that allow for small adventures, especially over to the Slippery Rock area. They do a great job at capturing history from 20+ years ago
I was a bit disappointed in the presentation of the Ford Nature Center. It at one time was very well kept &knowledgable staff but now it is looking very run down & the staff couldnt answer a simple question I had asked.
Great place for the kids, they loved it. Also nice hiking trail in the back.
