Nice pavilions and walking trail. During the summer various events are held there. Only issue is the local crime.

Very peaceful place to walk around plenty to see different landscapes and architecture as well as a Lake right beside it There is plenty of station so you stay fit A high is receptacles in the pavilion at the top to be able to charge your phone or play music great for photography video ography as well as grill areas author out the park a basketball court tennis Play area for children with swings slides etc and not too far in walking distance is a little grocery mart that has the Best fried chicken in York it used to be the old Jim anenas now I think its mini mart but you cant have that chicken without the mambo sauce they have it sweet and they have in spicy So you If youre in the area come check out the park Relax or play you wont be disappointed

Great place to grill and get together with family and friends. They also have a nearby pool and a lake for fishing and catching crawfish. You can rent out the pavillion, as a reservation for meet ups and such. Its in a school zone, so its a pretty safe place for you to bring the kids to play

Very nice park!

I walk my puppy here all the time, it is absolutely lovely and he loves to try and chase the birds, squirrels, and geese. No matter if you want to walk on flat land or hills this park has it. I used to come here as a child and there is a nostalgic factor in my love for here.There is rarely any litter here and its perfect if you want to just watch natur. The only problem that Ive ever had here is the bathrooms, not very clean, very dark, and some days its locked and cant be used at all! Otherwise, 5 stars all around (just dont antagonize the geese, if youre not a dog, they will chase you)

Great local park. Lots of raptors as it is one of the highest points in the city and good tree cover. Prime winter sledding.

Centrally located close to downtown York, PA. Beautiful mature trees and grassy areas for picnics and playing.

Quite, nice place to take a walk in York City. Usually has a gentle breeze blowing over the park. The up and down paved walk ways make for a good exercise challenge on the legs.

Nice park just to relax . Not to clean though. Garbage cans were full and everywhere you walk was a mess from the geese and ducks. Other then that its okay.

Cook fresh place to walk and stretch your muscles in the north end of the city. Best time to go is early moring and early evening.

This is a convenient park to go to. Very clean and pleasant. We enjoyed the water and watching little children feeding the ducks. A peaceful spot in the city. A great place to come to walk and relax.

I had a very nice, fun yet relaxing visit here with my daughter who at the time, was only 2 years old. She enjoyed the playground area but also the pond with all the ducks and geese! I had a nice time playing here with her....just wanted a change of scenery.

I really wish I could give this park a higher rating. I love coming here, and its one of the few places around with hills to run up and down. The park does have a bathroom, but its rarely open (mostly just open holiday weekends from what I can tell and other seemingly random times). When you use the bathroom, they always have soap, papertowels, and toilet paper, but there are no doors on the stalls. There are also weird things left inside the bathroom like toys and an assortment of creepy crawlers (to be expected with outdoor bathrooms). The park also has lots of Pokestops and Gyms if you like playing Pokemon Go. The main issue I have with the park is all of the goose poop and dog poop. You really have to watch where you step. If you dare go down near the lake, it gets even worse. There are times when its almost impossible to walk because there is so much poop but also times when there is almost no poop at all. There are several tennis courts, and theres always at least one free. Theres a basketball court and a playground with a tire swing. They also have those health activities around the park (pushups, pullups, stepups, hanging leg raises, hip rotation, situps, etc.), and its nice to see people actually using them.

Very nice here. Just a place to come with your family or bring your pet and let loose. You can play on the playground, tennis, basketball, workout and so much more.

My sanctuary from the daily drama. I love this place alongside Kiwanis lake. So peaceful and the nature is still undisturbed. A nice place to go to get away from life.

Very Beneficial Park For The Family Thats Right Across From An Awesome Lake, very Calm Scenery

What can I say. For me, however, this is my place to come and relax with nature in the city. This park was part of my daily life through a rough 8 months of being homeless. This is where I found sanctuary. Come here and enjoy a large pavilion with fireplace and large charcoal grill with a large bandstand at the top of the park overlooking the city of York and and surrounding county. Restroom facilities available through Parks and recreation. The park offers dated tennis courts and basketball court. Walking trails and fitness trail.

Kiwanis lake is next door to this walking around the lake and hitting all the trails in the park left me log over a mile.

Highest elevation in York City. Farquhar Park is a long established park named after the Quaker that supplied the land. In the middle of the park is a historic wooden bandstand in good condition and still used at least once a year for its original purpose. Around the park is a paved walking/jogging path with installed fitness stations. Still covered in mature oaks though the city has been replacing them with randomly placed whatever gets donated for years. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, and a decent set of swings and playground equipment. There is one covered pavilion with picnic tables that can be reserved with the city for outings, reunions, etc. Parking is extremely limited. This is a traditional neighbourhood park.

I love this park and the neighborhood. I was not there either. I do not have transportation.

Park is dirty with trash strewn everywhere. The thing I hate the most is when there are children there who are just left run around with no adult supervision. The parks different play areas are situated at the top of steep hills, and parking is just horrible. Also this is not one of the nicest sections of York, and it can be dangerous over there!
