Nice long trail system for activities. The park is quite big all around and has a lot of nice amenities to take advantage of if you are willing to travel to its location. We did some fishing.

Theres a nice parking area right off water street with a boat launch, an area for fishing or family outings, public restrooms, and attached is the entrance to miles of trails.Ive only recently started exploring them, but so far Ive found them to be dog friendly (on leash only) and varying levels of difficulty. Ive noticed the trails here tend to be much less crowded then the rail trail a few miles away. Its also neat to be on the trail and have it be so quiet you feel like youre a million miles from anything. Ive run into deer twice on the trail as well. I plan on this park being my go to place for hiking!

Unfortunately the current water levels do not allow the launching of some boats as the docks are 20 feet from the water. However, smaller hand carried kayaks did just fine. The multi use trail system was in good shape with just a few muddy spots you could easily maneuver around. The boat rentals were closed presumably due to the water level. Plenty of parking available.

William Kain County Park has a variety of trails that take people all around major lakes and river in York County. Currently, the dam is under renovation and the lake is dried up but it is still an interesting adventure. The park trails also abut Nixon County Park with very nice, short trails and a lovely nature center. If youre in York County, this trail system is definitely worth it.

Nice trails with lots of shade... Picnic areas and fishing areas for some quiet introspection. Good park pavilion and playground.

Absolutely beautiful. Thus was the first time we went after passing for years. The trails are nice and not to hard. Just a step up from a stroll through the woods. We plan to come back with our young kids

The water is a little scummy...but it is so peaceful and beautiful! The fish were jumping...the birds were molting...very relaxing. The perfect place to learn to kayak.

Beautiful park with many opportunities for boating, kayaking, fishing, and hiking. Multiple entrance points ensure you can find an area with more or less people depending on if you have pets, children, or if you want to be alone with nature. Walking areas are kept neat so you always see the path and dont have to worry about thorns

Great place to walk out doors with the kids it is Not flat ground, also not too challenging for little ones. There are many entrances and pathways around the lake. It never seems to be crowded unless you are trying to stay right beside the water near the parking areas.

Great place for all things outdoors! Hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and kayaking. My husband and I live right up the road and have hiked all the trails. Great variety and something for everyone.

Awesome trails that stretch over to lake redman!! Great for walking dogs or just getting out in nature!!

Expect a shakedown and noise! A woman at this park attempted to shake me down for cash, claiming that my dog bit her son. And asked me for money to take him to urgent care. And a ranger watches the point off Trail #3 with binoculars for people drinking. I havent had luck fishing here by boat or from the shore. And the noise from the nearby highway is horrible.

Beautiful, easy waters to glide around your kayak, for her maiden voyage. Very peaceful and lovely.

Clean bathrooms with soap. Two smallish playground, one for toddlers and the other good for about ages 3+. Lots of picnic tables, trails, trees, and right by the lake.No eater fountains, water from bathroom sinks is non-potable.

Nice local park around the York water supply lakes, miles of trails for hiking/trail running, mountain biking, & horseback. Great having this place in my back yard to enjoy.

One of the best places to hike in the county. Great trails for mountain biking, running, or silly walking. Lake Redman is not as peaceful sure to the proximity to the highway, if thats something that bothers you then go to lake Williams which is part of the same system but its not near the busy and loud highway.

The park and water here was amazing. The water was so clean and clear, you actually could see the bottom. The park itself was clean as well.

A nice place to relax and do some fishing and hiking

Good place for a run. Its a bit difficult to stay on the right trail, so I recommend using an app that has accurate trail maps. I use AllTrails.

Beautiful scenery a good place to have a family gathering

Awesome day for a hike me and my boy went out for about a 5-6 mile hike. Not bad for a 55 yrs. old Dad and a 9 yr. old son.

This park has great trails, boating and picnic areas. Great and safe for families.

Doing work on the dam so water is out of the lake. I actually thought there were more tree stumps in the water. Nice place to relax and decompress. Not sure how long it will take.

Nice park. Many trails and the trail map is very handy as there are trail markings but not at every intersection. It may be just a trodden trail and not an official one which might account for the lack of signs at those intersections. Noise from 83 certainly takes a bit away from the sounds of nature but they are maintained and shaded in the forest areas. Ill be coming back. It is awesome for canoeing and kayaking. They also stock the lake for those who like to fish. There are multiple parking areas so look at the map to decide which one is best for what you plan to do.

Tunnel travels all of the way across under the expressway. Appears on the map to be a walking path but there is no walkway only stream.

Theres always something more to discover in the many off-beat corners of this park. Great trails for running and even a little mountain biking. The terrain is pretty consistent and predictable. Lots of birds to watch for.

I love nature and this place is very senic and picturesque lots of space my grandson loved the playground and walkin thru the trails and skipping rocks on the water and fishin for the first time and met a little friend.

Wonderful parks all around the lake. No power boats so nice and quiet. Great selection of trails. There is a second lake Lake Redman connected to Lake Williams which gives lots of areas for fishing,hiking,canoeing,picnicing.

Nice park with a small lake and lots of hiking trails. Note that they do have signs up saying there’s hunting there so bring your burnt orange clothes if you’re hiking.We were there in January hoping to stay till eight because that’s when Google said it closed, but a Ranger came by and said it closes at dusk.

We are having our Sunday Services there at this time. York Alliance, is open for everyone.

Pretty and clean park but horrible markings for trails. They were so badly marked that they one trail we were on just vanished!! Like it dead ended into a tunnel that went under the highway with knee high water. WTF? Very upsetting as my wife and I like to take our dog our for hikes. Disappointing.

Clean, seemingly barely used. There are pavilions that were empty and tons of green space to be used!

They have nice restrooms, which is surprising for a park. The pavilions were great and not a bad price to rent them for a day. The lake was really nice and the 2 person kayak was fun. Overall a great day!

Nice park with covered picnic areas, lots of shade, and nice playgrounds. They have a small one for young kids and a bigger newer one for kids around 5. Nice new mulch. Bathrooms were standard park bathrooms, not very nice but serviceable.

Very beautiful and well taken care of. The pavilions are nice and there’s quite a few. Can get pretty crowded on certain days during the summer. But we have also came in days where it was empty and there were very few people sitting in pavilions alone.

Nice trails during the summer months when its dry, but still nice enough in the off seasons to take a stroll with your dog.

Good walking

Spent some time here with my dog on the trails, and he got a little swim time in as well.

My friends and I have been going here to fish a lot recently. We fully expect not to catch anything, but because of there being a low chance to get snagged or a rock or thick flora, then we just mainly go there for them to practice their casts. Very beautiful place.

It was nice as usual. It will be nice we hen the Water Street Bridge and Dam is finished.It is Tick Season. I found a tick between my fingers at the joint in my left hand after taking the long leash off of my hand. I dont see the vet until next week, so I picked up some Frontline for my dog on the way home and picked up a spray for me at Lowes. I am ready for his next long walk.

Beautiful park. Pavilions have electric. Bathrooms are pretty nice. Kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, and lake bikes for rent. Playgrounds for the kids. Great for family reunions and birthday parties. Prices are fair.

My kids and I walked trail 3 and while it was a good workout, this trail was not well maintained. There was poison ivy growing on both sides of the trail, sometimes into the path itself, there was a large hole in the side of the path very early on that was very dangerous, there was a large tree that had fallen in the middle of the trail with just a narrow strip of dirt on the side to walk around it, and to top all this adventure off we encountered a SNAKE! The water was beautiful and the honeysuckle smelled amazing the whole way, but this trail was not well cared for.

This is a beautiful park in southern York. Lots of picnic pavilions, benches & restroom facilities. Great for walking, canoeing or kayaking.

Weve been holding a club event here twice a year for almost two decades. Its a great location and has just enough amenities for our needs. We love the setting and location.

If I first started fishing here as a kid I would never have loved fishing. What a joke! Banks arent even maintained to cater to land fisherman at all. Theres fish but youll struggle.

Beautiful and pretty well maintained. Theres an unfortunate wasp/hornet nest in the observation tower but Im thankful the tower is even there. Absolutely beautiful!
