A real gem! My son and I walked in thinking $15 for admission was a little high if you didnt have time to visit the other museums included in the fee, and by the time we left we wanted to be sure to stop by the gift shop because we wanted to give them some more money. I had no idea so many interesting things have been made in York over the years. They have a 3-story, fully functioning, water wheel-driven mill!

I love going to this place! The museum has some stuff that my family used to own, like a 1912 printing press (Its black, keep an eye out for it in the printing press section!), and his shelf with all the letters stacked just how he would like them.

Its was pretty cool but the Quaker stuff and like outside stuff was boring, like the tavern and all that was boring. Stick to the factory area with the one lady, that was fun

So many things to see and plenty of interactive exhibits. The employees are helpful and informative. My kids favorite area is the rotary phones but they also love trying out the typewriters. The museum is good for all ages but ideal for school age and above. Its a great place to visit to learn the history of York.

First time there I came to work as a hired musician to play live music for a private party. This is a great place to visit and of course very historic ...we had a great time ...the people were accommodating and would go back in a heartbeat. Enjoyed looking at all the vintage cars and didnt realize York had so many automobile manufacturers.

Full of amazing artifacts of Yorks past and present in a unique industrial setting. Theres always something to surprise. This isnt the most slick museum out there, but its much richer. If you spot a staff member/volunteer out among the exhibits, corner them because they are bound to be a fountain of knowledge. The working waterwheel mill with the ability to walk through each level is fantastic.

Fantastic place. I had no idea this gem existed in York City! My wife and I had never been to the Museum, but were attending Creative Works Arts in Residence event. We were able to explore most of the grounds and were blown away! I will be back to have another look soon and will bring my Little from Big Brothers Big Sisters! I
