Such a cute little park! I love the water views, the tribute to those who served and lost their lives so we could live ours, the trail, the thank you rail car... A hidden gem! So glad I visited Yakima and saw this...

Went fishing with my son and his best friends. When pond was closing a lot of people stayed and kept on fishing., The fishing was great!! Hoping that they have the kids fishing this year. The children of Yakima need it, lots of fun for all.

Such a beautiful fall day all of the colors changing, Park is very well maintained. The playground is in good condition kids are having a blast running around playing. Everyone else walking is so polite, just out enjoying the beautiful weather.

Nice long : walk, jog or biking next to a river with benches, and a big wooden playground near the northern part of trail along the river . Family or solo adventure awaits, GOD BLESS You

Cute park but lots of homeless, they live in the trees behind the park so stay off those trails.

Love the place its very well kept up and the area around is beautiful. The greenway is right along the park and there are public bathrooms and an area for group outings

Love this pond for fishing for the kids, disabled, and seniors.watch the stock reports posted on the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife website to help keep track of the best time to go with the kids so they have better. chances of catching something. Stocked with carp, sunfish, perch, trout and some huge catfish, (but good luck on catching them.) This pond has 5 docks and plenty of bank spots to fish from. Best time to go is early in the am and again around 4-5 pm. Chock full of other wildlife, and I am not referring to any of community inhabitants, there is a lesson on wildlife around every aspect of this pond. From the fish to the muskrats and beavers to the mallard ducks and Canadian geese and dont forget to watch closely you will hear the shrill call of an osprey as they swoop down and grab a fish from the pond to take back to their nest.Dont forget to take pictures of the kiddos face when they land their first fish. Priceless memories!

Nice park just watch for duck pop and make sheer u pick up after your self or dont go

Great place for walking the dogs, taking a stroll, a run, or a bike ride. Ample parking, easy access to the greenway, clean and maintained. You can travel along the river and head to the arboretum if you like or walk around the pond and watch the ducks. Also there is a nice play area for the wee ones.

Awesome place for kids to catch fish in the pond. Both of our kids enjoyed the time fishing.

Its heart lots of fun playground restrooms covered canopies, bbq grills, picnic benches and tables throughout, restrooms lots of different nice veiws, geese, ducks,birdwatching nice grass. Bridges to walk over and under trails with documented monetary its a good spot to enjoy Gods wonderful gifts....

The playground was really fun for the kids and the walking trail is great, we even saw some eagles. However, there were several somewhat scary individuals on the trail, one on a bike had a machete on his backpack.

Its decent park to take the family to run around, I just wish they could do something about the homeless.

This park is great and would get five stars for me but the lack of restrooms and water drinking facilities are a detractor

Great community park with lots of attractions for ages far between. Plenty of Pokémon go players, a pond, play toys, and the greenway trail access outside of parking lot. Always beautiful and peaceful.

Great place to walk, its February as I write this and sunny, you can see the Yakima river because the trees are bare.nice facilities but closed for winter, lots of parking

Great place to do some walking, sit around the lake and let the kiddos play on the playground. They make the park really I retesting by adding a full size train and some monuments to look at. They even have a bridge!Occasionally they hold some really good events there. (e.g. Corvette show, fun runs and various other sports related events.)

Good park thats connected to the Greenway. Small pond for fishing, covered area for gatherings, a large play area for kids, workout stations, and other features.

Lots of garbage n needles along the river there...yucky place fof sure.

Fun place to go for a walk, read a book, fish, exercise, or have a picnic. There’s also a good playground for kids! No volleyball nets. Cute ducks (please don’t feed the ducks people food it messes with their system).

Great views of town and the Yakima river. There is a nice war memorial, playground and the Greenway trail for walking and biking.

In winter, I world not advise peuple To visait the parc, its a bit bleak. We saw lots of Canadian geese.

They closed the bathroom indefinitely because of vandalism. It is a nice park but the homeless community that hangs out around there are disrespectful slobs that dont care about anything. Some are very kind and just hang out and talk. Some dont give a rats ads about anything and just leave things disgusting for the next person. Its a beautiful park and well taken care of.

Beautiful park with lots of attractions okay fishing for minors for people on disability good place to go explore for anyone of any age.

Theres a lot to see around the park. Theres also a very big covered picnic area. The kids toys are really run down though, and theres always a random homeless person wandering around. They didnt bug us, but just something to keep an eye on.

I volunteered for The Greenway with 13 years and just last week they brought me on as an employee and Im loving it

I like to run here the scenery is ever changing. Large variety of waterfowl. Mornings are the best. Most people are friendly.

Great place to take your family for the day. Many activists to do at the park or by the river. You can walk run or ride bikes. They have security running up along the pathway and in the park.

Beautifully maintained park. No camping. Paved trails that follow the Yakima river. Large play area for kids. Geese and ducks graze here. Fishing pond for kids. Covered gazebos for barbeques.

This is a very nice park great views but the one thing is I wish it wasnt next to the old walmart

Its a very nice park I use to go there when I was younger, now I go with my girlfriend and my daughter. She likes to play on the toys and she also likes to fish in the pond.

Great place to walk before and after the drive from Olympia. The Yakima Greenway is beautiful and well tended.

I grew up with walking the Greenway to the big wooden play ground at the other end unfortunately the park has gone down hill from homeless people causing problems to crime along the greenway sad to see this but good memories

Im a volunteer for the Yakima Greenway have been for the past 13 season over those years we made the parks and trails whole lot safer and its great that theres a lot of people showing up please donate to Greenway to keep the trails and Parks like they are now I seem clean and safe

Beautiful park in the middle of the city. Great place to run your dog. Nice paved greenway to walk or jog along the river. Little stocked pond. Shade trees and covered picnic tables for large gatherings. Pretty sweet place for families.

Really great place for sports and Barbecues, awesome place to take kids fishing and also ana amazing place for a great run. They have alot of great wildlife. Amazing Views of the yakima river.

Super fun. Toys for kids, and adults....lol. Picnic area, large gazebo for big partys, fishing, bathrooms. Lots of Pokestops, and 5 Pokemon Gyms!!!!

Gorgeous location. Just dont walk around after dark. No one can help you out on the Greenway.

A very cool and big park. Lots of grassy areas, grassy Hills, a pond that has a platform that Im guessing is used for performances. The playground itself is typical for a park. there are also a lot of walking trails which was nice. My only complaint was that there seem to be a lot of homeless people hanging out and also questionable looking people that made me feel uncomfortable with having small children with me.

Wonderful place for picnics, fun with kids or just alone time by the pond. Nice, well kept gardens with trees, shrubs, and flowers. Plenty of benches and nice playgrounds. Lots of amenities for playing Pokemon Go (pokėstops, gyms, other players, etc.) with the family.

I love coming here to spend time with my friends and family I come here with my friend omar and we always come fishing at the pond we pull out trout that are like 5 to 10 POUNDS it’s CRAZY I would advise all people to come here and have fun it’s a kids only fishing pond but if your disabled or have any disabilities you can still fish they have many species of fish like trout bass carp sunfish blue gill

Too many homeless people around the park sleeping on the ground and the pathways are always covered in vast amounts of goose droppings. Its not an enjoyable place to spend any amount of time at

Well maintained multipurpose park with plenty of open, grassy spaces as well as picnic areas & benches throughout the park.Reasonable amount of free nearby parking & right beside the Yakima Greenway.

Nice place to walk & hit Pokemon stops

Good playground, but no public restrooms “in the winter” (we visited in late March). Only bathroom available is an overflowing port-a-potty with a soggy roll of toilet paper. If you have kids, suggest finding somewhere else with reasonable bathroom facilities.

This is a great place to walk, ride bikes, play on toys, have a picnic, and much more. For those playing Pokemon go, there are numerous stops and gyms.

Nice employees give you water to drink, close to store to shop and new hotel close by and nice place to walk and a playground for kids to play

I have always loved this park. This is a great park to take children as there is a playground. There’s also a man made lake if you want to fish. The bad thing about the lake is that the dock is broken and is dangerous. The park is on the greenway trail so it is great for running for exercise and for walking if you want to enjoy the scenery.

Pretty park right by the Greenway. There is a play ground for the kiddos and lots of picnic tables and trees to relax under. The man made lake there is nice too, occasionally they have kids fishing events there. On the lower level there is a large grassy area sometimes used for soccer. Clean bathrooms. Lots of nice pathways.

The playground was fun. Lots of good trails and shady trees. Too much goose poop on trails, grass, and playground. Check out the Merci Train car from post WWII France!

The local vagrants are friendly. They dont mind us walking through their living rooms.

I love this place. Great walking paths. Greenway access. Good bird watching. A lake for kids to fish in. What else do you need?
