Great park but dont park there after dark or the cops will pull up on you.

The playground was amazing and the track is relaxing and in the winter I love just to get my sled and slide down the big hill

A fun place to play outdoors anytime of year! There is snow sledding or Franklin pool to events and festivals or just a walk, jog or fly a kite. Dog friendly. Family friendly.

Awesome place in the middle of a quiet neighborhood! Great place for a run or jog Go-to for everyone, families, couples with kids... Some walk their pets while jogging...Fields for ultimate frisbee and volleyball...

This is a wonderful place to go for a walk. The area is beautiful and feels very safe. I love the big trees in the park.

I was glad I got to get a run in today . Its very calm and quite place to get a workout in . They have hills basketball courts and a track and playground areas its very green and shady i enjoy it .

Spacious, great for sight seeing due to multiple inclination levels and various seating areas. Next door to a middle school so there is a track almost within. Right next to the local museum and a great local coffee shop!

I like the park but would like it more if there were benches around the play structure and a wider sidewalk near Tieton because its so busy.

Clean not many people out made it ez to social Distancing much easier and my son could run around without much worry

Fourth and final visit to this fabulous park for the annual Sun Fair XC Invitational ... it’s a beautiful park ... almost like it’s part of an oasis-like area, as it’s surrounded by some neighborhoods with amazing unique and well-maintained homes.

Pretty park with a walking path. Play area for kids. Also has a pool for summer fun and Tom Tom/C&S coffeehouse & bistro for food coffee & Ice cream.

Beautiful place, quiet and peaceful. In winter all the trees are white with snow as the ground and for an Australian to see this, its beautiful. Summer you sit in the shade of a tree and feel the warm breeze blowing and think, it doesnt get any better than this.

Great family and dog park. Recently added 8 Pickleball courts. Play structure for young kids. Lots of open space. Excellent for sledding in the winter after a good snow. Small coffee bar / cafe at the back of the Yakima Valley Museum.

Im from out of town and have a 2 1/2 yr old boy who loves to play on the big toys. It was clean and well taken care of. But when it came to the toys it posed some serious issues. Like why wouldnt you make the main part a little more toddler friendly? Idk just a few things i thought were a bit crazy for any kid over 5.I recommend the park but only if you keep a very close eye and hand. The surrounding area was beautiful and well kept.

Nice pickle ball court

Awesome new pickleball courts and play structure for kids. Zero fencing though. Thankfully the play area is far off the main roads. Also with the little C&S cafe there it makes a perfect place to stop for a bit.

There is a shallow pool for small children, as well as a larger pool with a large winding slide, which was really fun! The water was just right, not too cold at all. We had a great time!

What an amazingly serene park!Extremely beautiful with a ton of grass, gorgeous trees, & a great walking path. They also have a quaint jungle gym area for the kids.Dogs are allowed on leash but be sure to bring youre own dog bags.This is a quiet neighborhood park so a loud get together probably wouldnt be welcome here.It is however a great spot to get some exercise & enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

I love the park for walking dogs, or taking the kids to play. Its a huge park.. I only gave it 3 stars because there is not enough parking for events, The back side of the park is NO PARKING theres room and its safest place when lot is full .. People are forced to park across the busy street, very dangerous for children and pets.

Franklin has always had an allure even when I was young but in the last 7 years it has solidified as my favorite park.For years I have been taking my children to the park to take advantage of the playground and track during the spring and summer or the snow covered burm during the winter. And if I really want to make a day out of it we use one or all three public friendly businesses that are located on the same city block. A museum, which is fantastic, or the public pool make great escapes from the heat (or cold in the museums case) And there is a retro soda fountain that serves ice cream, sandwiches, and beverages including the all important coffee.The park also has amenities groups and adults. There is a leisurely walking path that surrounds the park, it measures just short of a mile. There are tennis and pickleball courts available to the public. And my favorite is the open field adjacent to the museum. This is where you can find groups of the public enjoying this space with birthdays, reunions, or organized sports.I also forgot to mention the pavilion that was erected several years ago. It serves as a stage for many music events and festive celebrations throughout the summer!I want to write more but instead I advice you not to take my word for it and make a trip there to experience it for yourself. Keep it clean and enjoy! Closes at 10pm and opens at 6am.

Best park in Yakima. Lots of area to walk/run. Soda fountain and museum are nearby and a pool for the summer days. Very beautiful.

Franklin Park is one of if not Yakimas best parks. Ita great for taking a walk or running and its proximity to the Yakima Museum, Pool and Soda Fountain makes it even more convenient to visit.

The museum has very friendly people and the park has a lot of room to do pretty much anything from walking the dog to playing tennis and is very clean.

Large park with lots of grass and trees...having a museum and old fashioned icream shop nearby adds to draw..so take time to relax

A must visit for kids of all ages!! This park has biking trails, awesome climbing trees, and an abundance of play structures. I like that I can bring my younger and older kids and everyone has a blast. This would be the perfect place for a birthday party!!

This the best park in Yakima. Beautiful sunsets and great for running.

Lots of mature trees, but also sunny areas. There is a sort of outdoor stage which doubles as a large, shaded picnic area with many tables. There are also picnic tables under some of the trees. In the summer the outdoor swimming pool is open to the public. There is a path around the circumference of the park which is good for walking.

Great park for walking, running and just spending the day. Plenty of shardy areas.

Beautiful park, walking trails, play field, tennis courts, pool and water park, all right next to the Yakima museum with the soda fountain and coffee shop. Great place to meet up with friends and family to enjoy the outdoors.

Franklin park is a great venue. Its near the museum and soda shop. There is a pool there. Lots of toys for the kids and plenty of room for sports. If you need a work out, running the terraces will do the trick. Its an all around great park.

This is a nice park with a great museum. In the lower part of the museum is a bistro. The Franklin Middle School also shares the property, along with a public swimming pool during the warm weather season. Dont miss this gem.

I love this part for multiple reasons lots of space things to do events theres a museum a swimming pool during the summer theres a very good school next to it Franklin Middle School it just an all-around good area of town to be around

I have always had a good experience when I come here. I have visited both the park and the pool and they are both great options to take your family. The pool does only open in the summer but the park is open year round.

Remodeled playground plenty of room for any activity

Has fun obstacle course style toys for kids. The toys are not great for toddlers more geared towards preschool and up. It is a great park for runners, people wanting to get exersize with strollers, and dog walkers. It has steep hills and terraces which are great for working out and sledding :)
