Serene environment, places with covered benches to rest. Wide, wooden ramps for easy walking, wheelchair accessibility plus bike riders. Separate dog parks for smaller and large dogs. Poop bags available. Clean. Paths to downtown Woodstock. Signage for directions. A well planned outdoor use of shady land with wild flowers.
Very nice and tranquil environment, extremely peaceful and relaxing walking trail. Plenty of benches to rest on while your dog play and the bathrooms are very clean. Just a overall nice place to get away, thank, read and enjoy the outdoors.
This park is fine. nice walking path if you want to walk your dog and also has rental bikes. While I do enjoy bringing my dog to the park, there is a lot of poop that people do not pick up after their pets. That is my only real complaint. Just make sure to go during peak times, because there are barely any dogs at the park, otherwise
Love this park. It’s the only park I take my dog to even though it’s 45 minutes from my house. It’s worth it for all the dogs my puppy gets to play with. The people are wonderful and the park is a good size. I feel safe going here.
Very big dog park with 2 sections. One for small dogs with little obstacle ramps and thr other for big dogs. Wonderful big Greenway running behind the park.
Really cool experience taking my dog to the big dog park. She was almost overwhelmed by really enjoyed the interaction with other dogs. The trail behind the dog park was a really cool suprise going under the hwy. Very cool
One of the better dog parks in the US. Lots of great soft bark as the surface. Bathrooms for humans and some walking trails. Two parks one for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs
Dog park is usually always busy at morning and evening. There are a lot of mosquitos so bug spray is a must have! When it is sunny there is not a lot of shade in the off- leash area. The trails are surrounded by trees and really nice with paved sidewalks, bridges, and bikes to borrow.
Part of the amazing trail through Woodstock. Great space for dogs.
Love this park! The dog park is well maintained and offers more training obstacles than other dog parks. Small dog and big dog areas. Trails you can walk or bike, they even have bike rentals!!! If you haven’t been, go.
Great experience! Our dog had so much fun playing with the other dogs there.
Nice place to bring the dog, but I do wish people would rethink allowing their small kids in the dog areas. Lots of dogs are not used to kids or are not kid friendly. Visited on a Sunday and there were 6-8 small kids running around inside. Dog owners want a place where they can let their pups run and don’t have to worry about these things.
Well maintained place and a good walking trail.
Nice people here and nice dogs. Lots of poop bag stations and bathrooms for humans too. Open late.
Well maintained park.Ive been to a few dog parks that have sorry bag boxes empty or even just 1 box per play area... That alone was a plus for me!The walking trail was nice as well and pretty peaceful.
The park was clean and I didnt get attacked by fleas this time, but some owners have no control over their dogs.
A great place to be a dog.
No animal cruelty. Recycle and keep green. Clean the poopy.
It takes bikes and walkers most people are considerate... Turning left on it ends at 92 by checkers
It was a very pleasant first visit. The park was clean the folks and their dogs were all friendly and welcoming. Ill definitely return. Can get pretty muddy after some damp weather, just a heads up.
It’s a nice park but the people aren’t. My Doberman has been hit, kicked and yelled at for trying to play. If you have an “aggressive” breed that likes to play and bark I don’t recommend going here.
Plenty of space to run and play. Dogs separated by weight.
Good basic needs dog park. Tough to find shade on sunny days but meets the need.
We bring our dog here often. If the park is too busy, well just take her on the nearby trails instead.
For years weve taken our dog here, where they have a perfect setup for both little and big pups, and now we enjoy Woofstock with the kids. The trails are very well maintained and one leads right to downtown Woodstock, which is quite convenient when you need to break up a walk with pie or ice cream or drinks!
They have separate sections for different dog sizes so they can play safely! Plus it also has access to noon day creek trail which both humans and dogs can enjoy! Beware of the parking lot, it is made out of just dirt and pebbles, if you have a car that sits low, drive very slowly.
Love it. Glad its so close.
It was a fun experience for my dogs but the park needs to have some caretakers of something, some people like to not clean up their pets messes and people like me step in it. Not to mention dogs can easily step in it too. So we either need to impress the law, or resort to a janitor. But it’s a beautiful place and I would highly recommend without some issues.
This is a great dog park tucked back behind downtown Woodstock. Its accessible to walking trails, the dog areas (large/small) are well maintained, and there is ample parking. Like all dog parks it can get muddy when its been raining, but thats life with dogs. Highly recommend for anyone in the Woodstock/Towne Lake area.
Lots of space for your dogs to play.
A great walking trail
Great to take dogTo socialize
Does your dog need to just get outside and run? Bring them here to Woodstock’s Dog Park. Two different dog spots for large and small. If they are tired of circles try the walking trails. Plenty to sniff out when walking along on the trails. There are even bikes you can rent to ride. It’s a fun activity that the whole family can enjoy. Yes there are water fountains in the park for your pups. Cone on over and start having some fun. A happy pup is a restful pup in the end.
My dogs loved it. I gave it 4 stars because people dont pick up after their dogs so you have to watch where you step.
This dog park is great but often a mud pit. The Newtown Park in Johns Creek has set the standard for greatness with the artificial turf. With all the tax increases seems like Woodstock could upgrade.
Wow! We just moved here from WA state where land is at a super premium, so dog parks are super tiny. Anyway, Woofstock Park is Huge (to me)! The whole park is super well maintained and has every amenity you’d need for a fun doggie play date. I’d recommend it to anyone.
This park is nice, its wood chip based which isnt ideal since the dogs can get puncture wounds (and do) from it but its the cheapest way for a city to maintain a dog park.I will say, I would like to see owners monitor their dogs more instead of focusing on socializing with people, almost every time I go, there is always a dog fight. To make those matter worse, the owners of the aggressive dog... do not leave immediately as they should AND they come back. So just be aware to keep an eye on your dogs.
I bring my dog here once a week and he loves it. The place is always clean and well maintained. The people and dogs are very friendly and well behaved. This is a great place for everyone to unwind and just have fun.
My Aussie/lab mix Frankie Sue loves going to Woofstock! We try to go everyday.
This place is fantastic for dogs. Plenty of room for them to run or whatever. Bonus is the walking trail that starts right there. City of Woodstock hit a homerun when they created this amenity.
Best Dog Park around. Great group of people and dogs frequently there.
Wood chips are not ideal on dog paws when grass is an easy alternative. There is a green space in the middle of the park that is not enclosed but could easily be used as part of the dog park. Instead, it is not a safe place to let my dog off the leash because it is not fully enclosed. Why grow grass here and not in the areas allocated for the dog park enclosures?
Great experience, attentive owners and good dogs.
Our dogs love going here! There are two separate pins for large and small dogs and plenty of parking. Its also connected to a walking trail that leads to downtown Woodstock.
Gave this 5 stars because it seemed like it was fun for fur babies and family. Didnt stop here because I was passing by while walking the nearby trail.
The park used to be cool, but it is sliding down the scale. On this last visit I spent time pi King up other peoples dog poop. The park has free bags so that you can clean up after your pet. It is not only inconsiderate but nasty. Please be mindful of others and pick up after your pet.
Love bringing the dog here. The gated play area is nice but the trails are the best!
Excellent park with dog area, trails, and lots of nature.
Great place that is connected to everything. My dog and I both loved it! Residents leave bowls of water for your dog at various points along the walk, and there are many bags and disposal locations along the trail.
Great place to bring the doggos to. They have an area for small dogs and an area for large dogs. Theres lights for when its dark and several bag dispensers and trash cans for dog waste. My only complaint is mosquitos in the warmer months and some low area where water collects and has a hard time draining...but overall this place is great!!!
Great place for letting your doggies run free and get socialized with other puppies.
It was quiet, then more showed up. We were there from around 4 to 5:30. I just wanted my dogs to be able to wander & sniff, do their own thing, off of the leash. It was nice, not too many.
Big mud pit when it rains but if you dont mind your dogs having some fun in the mud its perfect (:
Lighted dog park open until 11 pm daily.
This is such a great time for the dogs! Clean, not too smelly (cant help SOME smell), toys, water and a great walking trail with water access. Really enjoy this spot!
Use to be the spot of my old Apartments before they flooded out years ago. I like what was done with the area. The trails are very nice to walk.
Clean park, nice people, good trails for walking with dogs or jogging.
I just love this park and the trails that lead to it. The community is definitely dog lovers as bowls of water, containers of treats, and even a spigot with a spray attachment is offered by a neighbor to cool of dogs!! My Bouvier grandpuppies enjoyed the agility ramps and platforms as a step up from playground romps. Its well kept and clean...bravo to Woodstock Parks & Recreation Department. Having two separate areas for dogs under and above 30 lbs., is a dream when my Yorkie wants to meet friends. Try it; youll love it!
I love the park! Every time we have gone we have met some very nice people. The dogs enjoy getting to play with strangers . The only thing that stinks is when it rains a day or 2 the park floods and shuts it down.....which is obviously out of the control the parks department. But great park when the weather is right.
A bit of a mud pit. And the owners of the aggressive dogs take no care in managing how their dogs interact with other dogs.If you have a well mannered kind hearted dog, beware of the local bullies.
Great place. Good group of regulars. All the did got along great & owners were great.
Super cute place. Ever and I love going for walks here. The only thing Im not the biggest fan of is that while their fenced in dog area is great, theres not many places to sit. Theres a place where the pup parents join near the smelly trash can under the shade or theres a little seat on the other side of the plot.
Nice park with walking trails by a creek and dog parks for little and big dogs. You can also rent a bike and ride the trails here. Were always enjoy our time, but other pet parents need to be more responsible and pick up after their dogs. Thats why only 4 stars.
Nice clean park when its sunny out. Friendly animals lovers come here to allow their dogs to exert their energy while us hoomans sit back and watch them play. The canopy that is up on the small dogs side needs a little attention as one of the post (wood) looks splintered.Dont come after a rainy day. Your dog will get muddy and it will be a mess.
Nice park and walking trails!
Omg it was so hot when I went and there are no trees. Would it kill them add one tree. Because there were no trees all the dogs and people were all chilling in the middle of the park were the only shade was. I also did not like the fact that they use wood chips all over the ground I know its probably to make it easier to pick up dog poop (which no does despite the fact there are bags everywhere lol) but it just makes it hard for me to walk on and I dont think my dog appreciated it either. Thats the bad stuff for good stuff is there was a bowl for all the dogs drink out of and to working water fans to fill the bowl up with the previous mentioned bags on each corner and thats about it I will probably only come here and I mean not hurry or if I need to kill more time after a walk.
With two big dogs that are full of energy, Woofstock is an awesome place to let them play and get some exercise. They have two large play areas for dogs - one for up to 30 pounds and one for dogs over 30 pounds. I love walking the trails that connect to some of our other places like Downton Woodstock and food places off of Highway 92. In the early morning and evening around sunset, the park is filled with dogs having a good time. The park has a doggy fountain, toys, bikes you can rent, and restrooms.
Great place to get exercise, enjoy nature, and to meet other animal and nature living people!
Fun dog park. Well cared for and a great place to bring your furry friends
I love this park. Great fenced dog area. Amazing walking, jogging, or bike trail. They have bikes to rent out or if some didnt lock it back you can just hop on. A good portion of the trail is shaded and it has lamp post throughout so if your an evening outsider you arent in the dark. If youre looking for a good relaxing place to to a walk or spend the afternoon out with your pooch I recommend here.
Pretty much everything you could ask for -- very large separate areas for large and small breeds. Wood chips for the playing surface, plenty of parking, and connects to the Noonday Creek Trail for scenic walking. Not as much shade as Sweat Mountain Dog Park, so that might be intense in the dead heat of summer. Otherwise, great park!
A wonderful destination for two rambunctious Bouviers!
Great dog park. Easy access and usually a nice sizes crowd for the dogs to play with. Could use some more shade.
Best dog park in Woodstock. Awesome trail system that leads downtown. I go all the time! My German Shepherd loves it.
This place is fine, it has wood chips for the playing area and separate areas for large and small dogs.It is really hot in the summer though and there is practically NO shaded areas for you or your doggos!!! There also isn’t a lot for the dogs to do in the way of play things. It is nice that other leaves bowls for water. And there is a water fountain for the dogs.Has bathrooms.Trail leads to downtown. All in all not too bad.
Its huge. Atleast 20ft square. I love how Google calls it woofstock
I wish there were more shade and maybe a water play area for the dogs, but otherwise its a great place for dogs to run and interact.
Great dog park with excellent walking/ biking trails. The only thing I dislike is the mud puddles that form In the dog parks after it rains. All that needs to be done to fix it is adding more bark in the muddy spots.
Although I personally did not bring my dog, I hiked by on a lovely paved trail that runs past Woofstock, and saw the park.I am giving it 5 stars, because the walking trail connected to the park is wonderfully long and great for a stroll, and because the ~6 dogs I saw at Woofstock all looked like they were having an amazing time.If you like walking trails, and have a pup? Bring them here for sure!
Good place to walk even if you dont have a pet.
Small dog park has mulch so it is not messy after a rain, which is a huge plus. The large dog area had a large mud puddle in the middle and could use more mulch. The two dog areas are not adjacent to each other which is another plus. This park has one of the largest areas devoted to small dogs and allows them a lot of room, third plus. It has benches and a shelter but no trees and the dogs and humans could use more shade or covered areas to retreat from the heat or rest. Small dog area could use some ramps or the like for the dogs to use. It is very barren now. It was clean and owners picked up after their dogs, another plus. It is a popular park and it can get busy. It can be difficult to find parking at peak times. You can walk from the dog park into the small town and its small neighborhood shops. Again, the walking paths are popular and often crowded with lots of people and dogs. Some bikes or scooters but mostly walkers or joggers. Wish it wasnt so far away and traffic was not so bad so that we could enjoy it more.
It’s a nice park. We’ve only been for the pup so I can’t speak on the trails or other options. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is both times we’ve gone it’s been pretty empty at the dog parks.
