Make it a short challenging hike or long depending how you are feeling. The waterfalls are really fun and the trails themselves can be very challenging. The short drive from the main road down the road to the falls was really spectacular being able to admire the leaves changing. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.
First off. Lets be aware of what trash you leave behind. Make sure you bring a trash bag. PICK UP YOUR TRASH.Now,parking is very limited. So get there early. Watch your footing. No fires. And be safe.
One of my favorite hiking spots so far! The views were amazing. We ended up doing the longer hike and it was so great. It took a lot longer than I thought but was so worth it!!
Beautiful place. Not a tough hike, but not the easiest.
A worker at motel 6 in wilkes barre suggested we visit. It was 10 minutes down the road and she said we would be crazy not to. This place was so beautiful! Mother nature speaks for herself!
Nice. Not super crowded. Lot of water to walk in. Lots of steps and slippery rocks. Fine for kids and parents, but not the place for the elderly or those in wheelchairs. Wear a bathing suit or shorts and water shoes. We didn’t bring either, so now we have plans of going back. Plenty of tree cover, but it can get buggy at the buggy times of day. It could use better signage with the trails shown better. We needed up just kind of wandering. Still had a good time.
Traveling from New York and decided to go hiking with my girlfriend and found this on Google maps. Decided to give it a try based on the reviews that were written. Parking at first is definitely an issue, so nobody was allowed to enter until a couple hours after but when we did get a chance to go in. It was very relaxing, and peaceful scenery to hike through. The water was very cold yet so refreshing to jump in. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is traveling to check out new hiking parks or if you’re already in the area then you already know this is such a great spot to visit anyways.
We had a great time hiking and checking out the plant diversity! There are beach plums, choke berries and many more edible goodies.
Beautiful spot, great hiking, natural rock slides, crystal clear water, love this place. Parking can be difficult on busy weekends / holidays, so get there early. Swimming is possible here. As always be respectful & leave nothing behind. Bonus points for taking trash with you that wasnt yours.
Nice park. During holiday it was way too crowded. Finding parking was a struggle. Those who parked along the street got parking tickets. Trail is well taken care off and it is a pleasant hike. You will enjoy it, just avoid coming on a big holiday. Had handicapped parking and bathrooms.
Seven tubs was on our bucket list for nature spots to visit. We had a great experience! It is definitely a lot of fun and worth the trip if you have to travel there! Very beautiful
Was a beautiful place to visit. Had breathtaking scenery of waterfalls and local foliage. There were many trails to hike on, lots of uphill walking. A wonderful place to to explore and appreciate nature. A few spots you could even swim in. I cant wait to go back and discover all there is to see.
First hike of 2020. Happy New Year everyone. This hike was a great way to start the new decade... Beautiful natural waterfalls that have created pools of water as the falls cut through the rocks. The water was crystal clear. To our surprise, we even saw signs of magic in the woods. There was evidence of fairies living in the area. It was a very cold day, so some of the rocks and leaves were a bit slippery. We initially did the short trail around the tubs, and then we followed the yellow loop for a longer hike...stopping to be mindful of natures beauty along the way. The tub area is beautiful. The short hike (less than half a mile) is close to the parking lot. We enjoy feeling like were away from all civilization, and parts of the longer (1.8 mile) loop allowed for that. Well definitely be back, during different seasons, to see how the trails look when the mountain laurel are blooming and when the leaves are changing. Who knows... Maybe well even spot one of the fairies who live in these woods...
Beautiful area, bring good shoes, plenty of leaves on the ground, step carefully.Love the waterfalls. What a peaceful day...well spent.
Great spot for a shorter hike. The tubs are cool
Very cool area to check out. We were traveling nearby and had visited Ricketts State Park the day before, a place I would also recommend. We were staying in Wilkes-Barre and Seven Tubs was only a 10 minute drive so after seeing this area was nearby, decided to spend a couple hours hiking and taking in the sights. We were there on a hot, humid summer day. Some of the spots were filled with people enjoying the clean clear pools of water. I was wishing I had swim trunks on to at least take a quick dip and cool off!It appears that it can get crowded and a little loud at times and there was some trash on the ground, but I will still rate it as a must see spot in the area. The loop we hiked had some nice uphill areas the trail was mostly marked very well so there were no concerns about getting lost. Theres beautiful scenery along the trail with the streams and pole of water. If theres recent rain, some areas could be slick, but overall its an easy to moderate hike.I would go back again, maybe a little earlier in the day and if its a hot summer day, wear something you dont mind getting wet and head into one of the pools of water.
Easy trail to the falls. It has a natural slide. You can swim sorta and its dog friendly. Theres only porta potty
Small trail, with easy twist and turns. Good for a dip or a date. Safe family fun. Several baths.
Its all about nature peacefully and also beautiful to cool of during summer time since there are a few tubs to get in
The Tubs are pools in a narrow gorge, connected by slides. It is possible to get from one to the next, which looked fun and a bit scary. Two pools at each end of the gorge are open and suitable for all ages. There is a short trail around the top of the gorge and a longer one through the woods. During the midday, the place was packed with people, picknicing along the stream. There was food everywhere on the ground, making my dog very happy. If I go again, I would definitely come early in the morning, and then it would be a much more enjoyable place
Beautiful!! Great walk on very nice trails and an amazing fall day!
We only got in because baby was wailing to be fed. There were several spots open, but folks were being turned away. Maybe because covid. No distancing, no masks seen. People swimming and fouling up nature with litter. There was broken glass all over the trails. There used to be some bridges but the top end looks like a tornado went through.Despite all of that and looking beyond human interference, this is a beautiful place to hike. Dont wear flip flops on the trail.
Would have been nice if there werent so many people in the water. Litter everywhere because its 2020 and no one cares about anything. But I did manage to get a few nice photos before people ruined it.
This is nature at its finest this is just one of the place that you can go swimming or seven areas this is the slide its made with forms from the rocks its an absolutely gorgeous must see place
Very nice place to take the family if they didn’t tolerate drunk people there. Ruined the experience because of the yelling and obnoxiousness. My kids are 14 and 12 and they felt uncomfortable. We basically turned around and left. The sad part was that there were police in the area and they didn’t do anything at least while we were there.
A beautiful and gentle hike. People littering everywhere is a downer but, the hike and waterfalls cant be faulted for humans behaving badly.Use lots of bug spray before you begin.Enjoy this beautiful place and, please, clean up after yourself.
Very easily accessible from the NE Extension. What a beautiful place. Some of the pools of water are located close to the parking area. We are not avid hikers, but we took the yellow marked trail. Stopped a few times, but we managed without much difficulty. We just recently learned about Seven Tubs. Truly a hidden gem!
Excellent place to relax and take in all nature has to offer. Beautiful any time of the year and would highly recommend a stop and the minimum, just to check this place out. Just a quick look will have you coming back for more!!
We randomly selected this place for our weekend trip since we were staying in Wilkes Bare. It was one of the best hiking trail I have ever visited( Better than Bushkill fall) . Everyone who came with me really enjoyed wonderful mother nature and vowed to visit back again. I strongly recommend this place for all Hiking lovers.
Hiking trail is only a 2 mile loop, so we did it forward & backward. Scenery was gorgeous!
Highly recommend checking this natural wonder out. Beautiful waterfalls, nice walking trail. And a place to slide down the shoots or just take a dip in the water. Still unspoiled from trash and spray paint and hope it stays that way.
East trail that leads to harder trails. Short walk. Beautiful area. Head up stream to the tunnel!
Beautiful area, pool, and slot. Got there at 8 a.m., before the crowds. Parking nearly full when we left. Area was pretty clean, happy to report. Hiked loop clockwise.
Ive been there just a few days back. we live in the york area so it was quite a drive. once we got there there it was packed. once we got to the main area it was a very good scenery with many people. down at the bottom would be great for younger kids there are quite small natural water slides and nice swimming areas. at the top would prob. be better for adults. hiking down the falls was pretty fun and fairly dangerous for younger kids. it gets very packed on the weekends. and its a fun SMALLER area to enjoy your day!
Where to begin. I love this special piece of heaven on Earth. The cool air coming from the waterfalls, the birds chirping and the beautiful landscapes... This is a very peaceful place- must visit. Bring the family, friends or that special someone. It includes a picnic area, bridges, streams, and a 2 mile paved trail, and many others off the beaten path!! Enjoy what our planet has to offer!
This is a beautiful place to take a fun nature excursion and even be outrageous and take a slide down the tubs. Make sure you go when its warm out and also early in the morning to avoid crowds of Trashy picnickers.
Really nice spot to go for a hike.A little bit difficult to find from the main road so pay close attention to the road signs. There are lots of waterfalls and pools to had a dip in
This place is absolutely gorgeous. So many different places to relax in the water. Slide down falls into the tubs. Its so much fun!
Nature at its best... But the guys at the entrance wants to park is full is not very polite at least they wasnt to me and Im a beautiful black woman and he was very rude and shrugged me off didnt even so much to speak to me to explain what was going on this was my first visit and he just pointed me around and I asked what was the problem and he just shrugged me off and just pointed to make a u-turn to get out never opened his mouth and said a word.
Beautiful, moderately difficult terrain. Come prepared with good shoes.
Beautiful place to go take a short hike. Tons of great photo opportunities in these natural rock cuts.Parking area is nice. Be careful this is a hiking path mud loose dirt etc to be expected. They have done a great job cleaning this place up and making improvements through the years. Trails and water way are clean. Lets keep it that way.
Absolutely gorgeous area. Trails can be slippery so wear good shoes.
Clean, easy trail. Well marked, family /pet friendly
Such a beautiful place to enjoy the scenery and the sound of the water. A must see :)
Really neat place. Very busy. Theres barely any parking and if you park along the road you can get a $125.00 ticket. Theres no trash cans and people are disgusting and leave all their trash around. Some people bring chairs and sit in the water making themselves at home with music and picnics.
Awesome walk and worth going for a few hours with the kids. Just had to watch out for wet leaves that were very slippery.
Such a beautiful place and loved how you could hike alongside and easily walk down or swim in the waterfalls. First swim area was super crowded but if you went a little further it was very peaceful. Definitely want to return here. Just very sad and disappointed in people when we were leaving due to all the trash that was left behind. But thats no fault of the parks, just the people visiting who dont respect it and its beauty.
Beautiful, easy family hike. Lots of places to wade in the water and swim.
A peaceful place to spend a fall day; beautiful scenery at every turn!
Beautiful place and trails are amazing to walk and bike ride.
Beautiful waterfalls wildlife and becoming one with nature by getting lost in the woods on easy marked trails
Beautiful place. A little crowded on a hot sunny Saturday, but fun to see the local crowd gathering and having a great time. The big kids and I hopped in the water and slid down the rock slides to the bottom. It was so much fun!
Romantic for you and your loved one. Beautiful scenery..
I would definitely go again. Quite a work out but very relaxing.
This place is always beautiful. It is a shame when people come in and ruin it but if you go deeper into the trails youll find fellow hikers with more respect for it!
Great trails of moderate difficulty. Mostly firm ground. Interesting water falls. Lots of woods, hemlock groves, open areas, rock formations, flat and hilly. Main trail is a two mile loop, with various optional side treks. Alternate trails into Mountain Park bring you to D&H rail trail, active rail line, cliffs, etc. Water areas near parking lot get crowded, but trails are quiet. I spotted a bear on a remote trail. It ran away when it saw me. Trails are generally free from debris. Most people are respectful of the place.
Very underwhelming . the 2.3 mile trail was a complete waste of time . everything worth seeing is right at rhe beginning
Beautiful place! A litte over crowded and thats the reason i didnt give 5 star. Definitely worth visiting if in the area.
Gorgeous place to enjoy nature. You have to be ready to get tired, long and beautiful trails along the river.
Neat place to hike and see the tubs under the waterfalls. A little hidden and usually not very busy there, although it can attract the wrong crowd at times.
Seven Tubs Natural Area is a nice park to go to and explore. There are a few falls which are great but apart from the the falls there are trails you can follow which make a loop and there is not much other than trees. If you havent seen them you will probably find small little doors along the trails. The part overall is nice for a walk.
Beautiful great place to bring your dog
This place is so beautiful and peaceful and educational. Took some trails that Ive never taken before in these woods. Im a beautiful mossy place where there were other tubs above on the other side of the railroad tracks. Beautiful locations very thankful to have these words that we are allowed to spend time in in arent someones private property.Look for hidden fairy doors throughout your visit..
Super great place for a swim after hiking the 1.8 mile loop!
Nice place and all but there are so many ppl in the water you cant take a decent picture. Other then that nice
Follow the yellow trail blaze and when you see blue blazes i recommend them.. dont know what the doors in the trees were all about i found 3 of them wish i knew how many there were ...I highly recommend doing this short hike so worth it
Pictures doesnt do a justice must see in person! Nice short hike which can be extended If youre wishing for something longer. Loop trail.
Is a beautiful place to go with family and friends.
Good place to spend the day with your family away from everything and everyone.
Beautiful trails. A must see!
Awesome place to cool off in the summer heat
Nice water pools and stream, swimming is prohibited but no cares, litter is everywhere, take plastic bags to take some trash out with you. We filled three bags of bottles and cans.
A cool place..a bit intimidating..watch your footing, water is ice cold but feels amazing in it when it’s hot..lots of people at times..
Excellent trail with beautiful natural water pools. easy to intermediate difficulty depending on the path you take
Amazing recreational area right out side of Wilkes Barre. Great walking trails and photo opportunities. Parking area is secured by cameras, includes a nice sitting area, portable restrooms and paved parking.
I love hiking here with my dog. Its so beautiful and well maintained. We always have a great time when we go.
Just a beautiful area! It was busy but could still see the tubs
This week, the Amish market had tons of gorgeous flowers. Sadly, the family who makes the fresh pretzels has been replaced with another family, so no pretzels (yet!)
Nice hiking area. Lot to see. Will be going back in spring/Summer to swim and fishing!
Traveled to this location while staying in town and loved the hike. Its trails have gorgeous views and literally off the beaten trail. Worth a stop and a walk.
Nice weather nice trails quite steep at some points but beautiful all the way through
This place is just amazing. I have only been there in winter when it was covered in snow and it was spectacular. I am excited to go on a hike in summer and try swimming in the tubs.
Great hike! Dont wear sandals.
So pretty!! Great place to take pictures!
Go for walk / Relax there . Just loved that place .
Trails are long and easy to follow. Trees are color marked. Nice waterfalls to view. Good stopping areas with nice views.
Beautiful beyond description, lush forest, colorful wildlife, clean well marked trails, crystal clear waters and well maintained rest areas
Such an amazing hike!
Seven Tubs js a really nice area, very comparable to Ricketts Glenn State Park.
Very serene area for true nature & hiker lovers to enjoy breathtaking views.
Good place for one day trip.. Beautiful trail also that runs along side rhe creek.
Love the falls and the trails. No one was wearing a mask except my family.
Great Hiking Trail. And good for three to four hours Hang out. Small creeks and alongside walking Trails. liked it
I think it was a 1 mile loop and very nice scenery. Was medium terrain/difficulty level I would say. Im almost 60 and not in the most athletic shape...lol. Very rustic and quite a bit of climbing steps. Lots of roots to beware of if not to sure footed. Bad knees or COPD might not want to attempt. Pets are allowed. Mine got a tick on her belly so beware and check your pet and yourself if you go.
Og spot! Gorgeous and always a grape time!
Super cold when you want to swim but it is fun. I give it 2 thumbs up
Breath taking
So beautiful!
