This is a beautiful addition to the city. The views of the river, courthouse, and Market street bridge are spectacular. The biggest thing lacking in this are is outdoor spaces and trees so we are lucky to have this. Ive only been here during the day or the evening concerts in the summer but it seems like a fairly safe area. There is a police presence during events. Not so much during normal times but there are typically enough other people nearby to feel safe. A few more seating areas, garbage cans, and perhaps some drinking fountains and restrooms along the paths would greatly improve the usefulness of the commons but I understand the lack of amenities to be a result of the areas over the top heroin problem. Overall I would recommend this area to anyone looking for some fresh air and or greenery!

Always nice to visit other places even if for great jobs, theres something to see.

Cute little spot, with close parking. It was a quiet walk. Nice. We enjoyed ourselves. Great place to eat lunch and enjoy yourself.

The park itself is nice, especially for runners. But I shore fish and have been there 5 times and nothing?

Rocking on the River fest Luzerne county had bands playing 3 Fridays in a row and this was the last concert a tribute band to Dave Mathews . Proud Monkey and County Line played the first set, good concert and a large crowd loved it, good time by all

The demonstration on the Eagles was very informational and worth taking the kids..... more kids need to do things outdoors!!!! Very knowledgeable people who ran the show....hope to participate in more in the future!!!!

This place is nice for a walk, a jog, a bike ride, or just a sit-down. The paved trail and the seating areas are kept clean and well groomed. There is lighting to the area safe at night.They do have limited activities here but could do more with the space.

Its a great trail if youre bored to go at Ilo ed the silence there whyll you listen to music

I go here whenever we can can. I grew up on the river and its calming and peaceful and the place I go to relax. Walking, or driving and fishing whenever possible

Cool little stretch along the Susquehanna River

This is a nice public park that is generally well maintained. The grass is very nice and there are many beautiful views overlooking the river. While on jury duty at the nearby courthouse I spent a very nice lunch break here.

Beautiful place to go for a walk. You can take some nice photos. Or you can go for a nice scenic run.

Just to get away from public square for a while

The river common park is very pretty. I dont feel it is utilized enough and parking is of an it. Very pretty scenery with the market st bridge and pierce st bridge in backdrop. Overlooking Kirby park

Stairs are breaking and dangerous in areas on side streets which is hazardous to us handicap people. Area is starting to get run down and needs a bit TLC.

Nice little running, dog walking or cycling park. Lots of paved paths, great views and plenty of benches and trees. The do have dog poo bag dispensers and trashcans. Its generally pretty clean but you sometimes see lots of bird droppings.There are no bathrooms on this side of the river. You either cross to Kirby or go downtown. There is no kids playground equipment. Parking is either on the street or across the river. For what it is, its nice enough.

Safe in the day by court house .real nice view of river.Best to have a partner to tag along with you ..because there has been trouble makers at times..
