Always a nice place for a walk. Today was especially beautiful.

Great recreational area in Wilkes-Barre along side the Susquehanna Leve System. Walking-biking-exercise-tennis and picnic areas are all available. My rating if only 3 reflects the need for better maintenance and up-keep. A little paint would go a long way in improving the area.

Beautiful park!!! So many things to do and use of pavilion. Alot of events held here too. Nice and clean.

This is a cute park. Had a picnic and the chipmunks (squirrels) invited themselves. Gave them some food and they were good. . It was very busy, lots of families doing very activities. Games were being played and people were exercising.

The township has been doing a better job cleaning it up here. Still needs a little more police presence but for the most part I would recommend it for a stroll.

This is a great place to bring young kids or escape for a quick run or read a book under a tree. The pond was fun for the kids to skip rocks and feed the ducks while they really enjoyed the playground. Just be careful as some or the playground attractions are no longer anchored in the ground as they should.

Nice big park for alot of athletic things happen there flag football rugby and softball for adults. I see alot of track work done also. Little playground some pavilions and a amazing fireworks display for the 4th. Only bad side is some of the people that come through the park its generally packed.

Is a spacious place, where you feel free and you can make a good walk for chat or a jogging and practice sports with friends in a open sky place, great view! Good environment!

So I went to kirby park and I have to admit I had fun but the trees are way too sharp. Cut myself walking when a lone branch just jumped out and cut me right below the eye.

My love and I take our dog, Jersey, here. We walk around the lake and throw the tennis ball for Jersey in the large field. Always a pleasant time at Kirby Park. Just wish theyd open that concession stand!! Would be nice to be able to get a cold drink or some shaved ice. Just saying.

Very nice place for a picnic, or just to take your kids for a stroll. Very big Pokemon GO hotspot as well. Could add a little more to the kids area of the park though. Also, the water needs to be skimmed. TONS of trash floating around the edges.

A fantastic park.. and very peaceful . While it resides in Kingston you can tell Wilkes Barre takes care of it the second you hit the Kingston sidewalks its back to bump bump hell... Bravo WB

What an amazing park to spend a day with friends and family. The large grasslands and kids park make a perfect park for me, and as a bonus, the lake is so beautiful.Theres also shaded spaces if the sun is too hot.

Was great. Well maintained. Was a great outdoor space for catching up with friends after the long confinement

I really enjoy Kirby Park especially the bears tree in which I was able to get pictures with my grand-daughters.

Great place to bring the kids lots of space to let them get all that energy out.

Kirby Park is a huge clean park with tons of people walking around as well as plenty of beautiful dogs to see. during my visit there was a mini car show going on in the parking lot I dont think it was official but there were some nice cars.

Sure do wish they would stock the pond. Caught 1 catfish all summer?

Nice trails and everyone was being safe and staying far apart. it was a nice place to visit!

Kirby is great for sports, taking a walk, having a birthday outside in nice weather, and the playground for kids. Its also where I got engaged so it holds a special place in my heart. Oh, that reminds me, beautiful photo ops! Porta-poties throughout so if you have to you can go, and during the nice weather months, the food shack is open for drink and food purchases. I just wish the pond was cleaner. If it were taken care of and clean, this place would be beautiful. Im afraid if youd fall in, youd come out with extra parts.

Use to be nice there now kids hang out there breaking beer bottles ! They ruin it for people like us .

The park is well maintained. Its very difficult to enjoy the walk and play sets while there are hordes of nats attacking you. You will burn just as many calories swatting nats as you will walking around the park. Wear shades to keep them out your eyes. Im sure theres something the city can do to stop the nat issue. Park would be far more enjoyable.

Great place to go and enjoy the beauty of nature and have children play on nice playground equipment and see wild animals like geese and ducks and do fishing in a pond or just sit on a pavillion and relax with family and or friends and eat or just relax or maybe play sports or walk or run or whatever..very nice park.however there is some work should be addressed a few picnic tables in last pavillion are in bad shape and birds poop upon em also..not very safe.

Suited our needs for an afternoon jog and walk. Its terrible that folks throw there trash in the parking lot. Saw lots of nice trash cans with fresh liners in the park but they still dumped the stuff in the lot. Nice pavilions available and looked like a decent play area. Liked the bear and bee hive wood carved tree. Would stop again if in the area

I always take my kids here for photo shoots and the pics always turn out amazing the grass is always luscious, deep green and perfectly maintained. This last photo shoot here I did have the feeling of additional safety as a police officer parked directly behind my kids and I offering peace of mind. I have been here for pics every season and each time the park has the most incredible backgrounds! I love it After pics I take my kiddos to play and they also love the park and the play area. I was taken here as a child (my parents also used the park for photo shoots) and it’s great to share this with my little ones. 5stars

Great huge park for your family or friends events

Winter season: We dont get many days in the cold season worth coming here, until it snows! You meet alot of fun families, make friends, and best of all: the slopes. Im glad I took advantage of the fluffy snow this time.

Lawn well maintained. Plenty of benches, picnic tables, walking and running paths.

Great park, very peaceful most of the time and lots of bike paths.

Large park with plenty of benches, shade, and more. Lots of room to just run around with kids or play on the playground. Walking along the levee is also an option and its a quick walk across the Market Street Bridge into downtown Wilkes-Barre.Also a decent amount of parking but can fill up if there are games going on or events.

Big open park has a dike near the river u can walk for miles has a pavilion to throw bday partys park is dog friendly has a tennis court too and volley ball spot. And a little park for kiddos. And big parking lot good place

Its a nice park to let the kidos run off some steam!!they have a nice little pond and a running track and even a couple jungle gyms for the kids to play on!!and its FREE!!!!

Clean and well maintained a pleasure to walk around, I made several trips around just enjoying the weather and the natural wildlife around . I would love to try to fish the pond, wondering what I can chatch.

I love this park so much. Ive lived in the area for about 3 years and ive heard of the park but never went out to it. Last weekend we finally took the ride over and absolutely loved it. It was so clean and pretty. The playground was full of kids for my children to play with. There are beautiful paths to walk along. I cannot recommend going here more!

There is nothing here, if you are looking to go for a walk and you are around this area, than a walk on this park is good other than that! Don’t waste your time. There is a bear crafting that’s pretty cool thought.

A local treasure to be had by all. There should be more of a police present because of the charge in New comers to the area. Not everyone plays fair or courteous. The upkeep of the park shows. Thank you Wilkes Barre city hall, you are doing a great job.

The place needs some slight work, painting, mulching, things like that but otherwise its a nice place to relax. I usually go for the 4th of July fireworks and they arent as good as they used to be, they still are nice to watch. Just be ready, if you dont arrive hours early youll have to park on the side streets and walk.

I have been in a lot nicer and better parks. This Park needs a lot of upgrades, they have to many base ball fields and shocker fields and the benches and picking tables are all rotting away.

Lovely park. Wonderful fireworks on the Fourth of July. Park at least .25 mile away if you don’t want to sit in traffic.

Great park. Sometimes it attracts some less than savory characters.... But overall nice. Areas to walk, play various sports, exercise, run, and a playground for big and little kids.

Family park. Nice trail to walk and ride bike. Family-oriented. The pondits a great place for photos or picnic. The updated playground is very nice for my little guy. Lots of activities like baseball field softball field tennis etc

Best July 4th fireworks Ive seen. I been going for 10 years now. They never disappoint.

Generally a good family friendly park. Disappointed on Saturday 7/13/19 at some small concert given at the pavilion and some of the language and lyrics sung by one of the acts. There are obsenity laws in public places. Not appropriate. You want to sing those type of songs in a bar, have at it, but not a park.

Great park for recreation as well as walking two to seven + miles....
