It wasn’t packed, much emptier than I had hoped which was nice. For $10 PP you can’t go wrong. About an 1.5 to two hours can easily be spent here. I think it was worth the drive from Miami!

This place was so nice and fun for the kids. Theyre taking only credit cards during due to the pandemic, which is great. Everyone had masks on, and was really mindful of keeping distant. The water in the waterfall area was off again. Hopefully next time we go itll be on because its such a pretty area.

Lovely gardens in the middle of a busy area. I have been here more than once and enjoyed both visits. Has a cute gift shop as well. The only downside is that the airport planes fly overhead but it is not constant and honestly, I mostly forget about the sound as i get lost in the natural beauty of each garden.

This is great spot as it has many types of plants to see and art sculptures. It only costs $10 to enter and can be toured in an hour. They have events including Christmas light show after hours however you have to pay extra if you are not a member. If you see any plants that you want they have a nursery where you can purchase them. They have a mini maze made out of hedges and a waterfall that you can walk through.

Normally I would give a 4 but for a $5 entry, how could you ever get mad. It had really nice lush greenery and nice quiet trails. Nothing too crazy, just big enough to enjoy the outdoors for a hour or two. You can buy a bag of fish food for a dollar and its actually kinda fun seeing all the fish and turtles going crazy for it. The people were really friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. I would love to see way more colorful flowers but it could also be the time of year I went. Go alone or bring the family!!

That greeter lady Shannon is very very rude!I got there at 2:15pm and she didn’t want to let me in because she said they closed at 3 and I would not have enough time to go around the whole garden. She started yelling and screaming at me like I was a child when I was very calm. She spent about 10-12 mns arguing with me when I could of been in the garden enjoying myself. While I was leaving I looked back and see she let other people in. Personally, I think she doesn’t like black people. Besides all that, nice park. Just the people who work there isn’t.

Sometimes local artists work are featured throughout the grounds too. Its really quite lovely and nice to take event pictures.

I absolutely fell in love with this place. It has sooo many varieties of plants to enjoy. It’s not so large a space that it’s a burden to get through, even though I only saw some of it on my first visit because it was way too hot. The gift shop was closed due to covid, but the nursery was open and I enjoyed that too. The available plants was a dream come true as I learned about and bought a couple things I had never seen or heard of before (very reasonable prices). The staff was very friendly. The guy at the nursery was so informative and patient. Very nice impromptu break in my day. I feel like it was actually worth the $10 entry. Now I just want a snack and a nap. : )

Attended a wedding and was told the wedding guests could walk around the grounds before/after the ceremony; as I was there early with my boyfriend, who was helping the groom and guys set up, I decided to take advantage of the opportunity to warm up a bit from the cold weather by moving around. The gardens are just as beautiful as I remember from a previous visit about 4 years ago. The last time I was here, the bridge was closed and the water-walkways were not open. Enjoyed walking the area and sitting by the pond to watch the koi fish, who were happy to say hello because they thought I had food. Worth freezing a bit more to sit still and watch them! Perhaps it was the cold or the entry fee, but the traffic in the park was light and it was the perfect opportunity to take a moment, in the wedding and holiday madness, to just breathe and disconnect.I liked that the wedding area is set to the back so there is not a lot of foot traffic from garden visitors. Also, the pavilion and seating area are set under some lovely shade trees and the landscaping around both create the illusion of lush seclusion. The bridge railing leading to this area may be a reason for concern, however, as it was easily pushed against as the guys tied tulle to it, and did not appear secure.Only huge drawback: airplane noise. And yes, they had to pause the ceremony for one of them who had perfect timing.

I have sent a number of people here throughout the years and all have made comments about staff being rude. I myself have encountered this issue. they also tend to charge affiliate members entrance fees even when no events are going on. The place has lots of potential. It’s a shame that the employees and management ruin it. My most recent experience with them has resulted in me discounting my membership with them. Also, just in case anyone was wondering they will not be honoring your memberships for the months closed. Not unless you join another year. You can actually save money on a membership by joining thru the ahs website directly. Personal I love mounts botanical grounds but will not support them directly. It’s unfortunate bc I recommended them to everyone. I’m extremely disappointed with this garden and their ways in conducting business. I will never recommend it again. Also be careful what you purchase in the gift store. I bought a scent that had soured due to sitting on the shelves too long.

There was free parking and they ask for a suggested donation of $5. Great activity to do, not too hot in summer thanks to there being plenty of shade. Well manicured with a huge selection of plant life. There are small ponds with many koi, and there are walkways over the water with several benches. There was also a very neat herb and edible garden. Bring right next to the airport you will hear and see airplanes consistently which can be a good or a bad thing. One definite negative would be the mosquitos. I would suggest bringing and using bug spray if you plan a visit. There is also a small gift shop selling various items and plants. All in all a great inexpensive option in West Palm Beach.
