The zoo was very fun even with social distancing. My sons favorite was the jaguar even though he was just napping. But we went back again and he was awake and he loved it. The tigers were amazing and the florida panther was really cool to see walking right over us on the sky walk they had set up. The splash pad is open and very nice. Its not that crowded during the week but the weekend was a little much. We got a family annual pass which only cost about 2.5 times the price of one day. On the way out we saw that if you bought a one day pass that amount could be applied to year passes which is really cool because you could basicly try it out before you pay for the annual pass incase it is not for you and your family. The staff that we saw was really nice although everyone is definitly keeping their distance which was great. Our son cant wait to go back again and it is worth the short drive from broward for sure. Its nice to get out of the house and feel some what normal again. Overall very cool exhibits, lots of shade, good care for all the animals.

Masks are required, however you can take them off if you are more than 6 feet away from other visitors. I saw a hand sanitizer dispenser somewhere in the zoo. Bathrooms are available. The cafe is open. The water fountain is now open. The Tiger Cubs are beautiful!!Con: The place was packed!!

We love this lush little zoo. The highlights right now are the 3 tiger cubs born in May but it was hotand they were difficukt to see lying in the shade. Great experience at the zoo. Because of Covid they have arranged the paths to go in one direction. Follow the arrows and it takes you thru the whole zoo. some exhibits that require going inside a building or were too far off the ‘official’ path were closed. This month (August) was free entrance for kids with adult entrance purchase so my family took advantage and we had our first trip to PBZ. There was a lot of shade throughout the park with beautiful trees which was nice since South Florida is generally boiling hot out especially in Summer. Near the park entrance there was a very large splash pad area that my kids absolutely loved. It was very spacious, had so many sprinklers and it had seating for all the parents to sit back and observe their kids. There was also a bathroom nearby which seemed to always have a line but if all you needed was a clothes change there was a separate area for that and was always empty. Overall loved the experience and plan to come back.

They ask to purchase tickets online but you still have to wait in line at the ticket booth to have your online tickets scanned.(with everyone that did not purchase online)The park is well shaded and my son truly enjoyed the splash pad. Love this place. So fun to just sit and watch all the kids running around playing in the fountain on the way in or out of the Zoo. My grandson was always telling me he was catching nemos (you know the colorful fish from the movie?) The zoo has a trough full of water on the way in that is full of tadpoles. To a 3 year old - these look a lot like nemo. They also have a place where you can feed the birds and they will land on your head. If you have kids, I highly recommend taking them to the Palm Beach Zoo.

This zoo is absolutely overrated. There are not many animals to see. There were no lions,TigersZebrasElephantsRhinoGiant turtles etcThe above can be found at miami zoo. The palm beach zoo doesnt seem secure enough where some animals are concerned. For example the Caiman was not properly secured and if a curious kid ran to the fence they could be gobbled up until its backwards. The monkeys are not alot and rather small. The food here was very limited and had a wait. Iguanas are wild here and one even dropped in a ladys head. I was supposed to help but god forgive me for running away so fast. I was promised i would see baby tigers i saw none. It would be worth it if less money was charged for the entrance. On a good note the anteaters were absolutely gorgeous and walked with grace and class. The white alligator is so pretty beyond words. There is a water section for kids so bring towels, bathing suits etc. Bring your own snacks and food the restaurant area can be packed and time consuming and they lack variety.

This review is for the Zoo Lights event. The light displays were nice but it was limited. We went through the whole display in less than an hour. Only a couple of animals were visible but that was to be expected. I’d like to suggest more places lit up specifically for photo ops. Only one or two spots were lighted enough for pictures of your party with the lights. $16 a person was a little steep for what was presented.

Fortunately, you can rent little carts for the kiddies. O theres even a sprinkler for the kids to cool off under when you enter (so bring them in their bathing suits and have a change of clothing). Absolutely no implementation of requiring masks here.I was hoping to safely enjoy our time because at the very least people needed to wear a mask and practice social distancing and precautions were being taken to ensure safety, right?I have a child who is too young to wear a mask and thought if this was true, it might be safer to come here since Id expect there to be some sort of implementation of masks, social distancing and being outdoors.Id say 85% probably more guests at the zoo were NOT wearing masks. Non mask wearing families meeting up together forming even larger groups of people.I had to basically run away with my child because of an adult what seemed like very proudly sneezing (he couldve at least sneezed into his elbow..shirt..something.) Can you guess he wasnt wearing a mask?Call me paranoid, I dont care.I tried my best to stay away but it was difficult with as many people as there were and lots of non-mask wearing children running around.I have no issues with children running around but my point is that it is very difficult to social distance away from excited charging 5-12 year olds.I am disappointed that Palm Beach Zoo does not require social distancing or masks during this time.

Quaint, nicely designed and taken care of zoo / conservatory. Great variety of animals. Great photo ops. Not too busy.I do wish it was cheaper for kids. $20 for adults and $10 for kids seems reasonable. We paid $68 for 2 adults with a 5yo. Had we more kids with us, we might not have gone in.I completely understand the amount of money it takes to run a zoo. But the bulk of that cost could be put on more local businesses and city / county. More subsidies to keep this park nice, rather than high child prices. Less 1-time art donations, and more subsidies for admission.

Would not reccomend having an event/ wedding at palm beach zoo. I paid to have my wedding at the zoo and was even told that in case of bad weather the deck would be able to hold strong winds and storm if needed for my ceremony cocktail hour and reception. Well... heads up thats not the case . Florida was under a tropical storm watch at the time of event and less than 24 hours of my wedding i got a call they were closing and canceled my wedding, the only place in the whole state of Florida that decided to close for the rain. i understand safety for guest and animals but this storm was NOTHING but rain and if I would of known how they lie and handle citations like that I would of never booked with them.. so I ended up finding a new venue closer to the storm and had to throw my wedding together. I stated I wanted a refund and was told absolutely but the linen company 600$ I cant get back because they washed to deliver them .. I told the zoo our contract stated if u close i get it all back im not out that money. Was told they will see what they can do..so now I was told sure I can get it back but threw check mailed out in a month.. back to my contract I go!
