Theres something kind of magical about this particular overlook. Theyre all wonderful but this one kind of stands out.

I have driven past this overlook a lot of times and never thought much of it. I just happened to see a photo on Facebook from it so I looked it up and discovered that there is a short walk on the left side of the parking area that takes you to a wooden overlook with amazing views. This is now one of my favorites.

Beautiful overlook, and a great place to stop if you bring your lunch or a snack and want to just stare and enjoy the peace. Only 4 stars because there are better views but that is just me being spoiled by the other overlooks.

If you stop at 1 overlook this is the one it is absolutely beautiful. We love the Blue Ridge parkway and this one is our favorite spot!

Spectacular weather along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were a couple of weeks early for peak leaf peeping but there was some color and the cooler temps at this elevation were quite pleasant.
