Red Run Park, the oldest park owned by Washington Township, is a 22 acre park that was presented to the Borough of Waynesboro in 1938 and subsequently in 1969 was conveyed to the Washington Township Supervisors as the property of Washington Township. The park consists of a man-made lake, picnic area, playground equipment, public restrooms, concession stand, and miniature train. The lake closed for swimming in the 1970’s, and has been used for fishing and ice skating since that time and is a very popular spot year round.

Love this park. Nice for walking daily and enjoy nature. I take my grandson to play. He enjoys all the swings, sliding boards, seesaws, climbing and definitely the sand. He likes playing in the creek also. Highly recommend family outings here. Allot of pavillions and picnic tables throughout the park.

Had a wonderful time celebrating my mothers birthday and even enjoyed the company of an uninvited guest living in the Pavilion. No cake for this little dude.

Very clean, nice size park. Was there for a reunion. Tons of kids slides and swings and multiple gazebos for rent. Nice little creek runs next to it and sometimes has live music and a train ride for kids!

It was extremely warm (95°) !. Park is in the shade. Very nice pavilions and picnic tables. We got take out at local Burger King and took it to the park. Very nice day but very hot weather.

Great swings compared to all the short stuff around. Equipment is fine. If the kiddo likes it, I like it.

Beautiful Park, multiple playgrounds and BBQ pavilions...also has a small pond for fishing. Has the Cleanest & Most Well Maintained Bathrooms I have EVER seen at a park in my life!! Lol

Its quit clean and cool out there kids have plenty to do there thay have the train lots of thing to play on a creek to play in. Its just a fun place to be.

Great park! Place to fish with kids, lots of play equipment and tables with grills. The Hidden gem is miniature train that kids can ride! Ran by volunteers and only charge what you would like to donate!

Was dirty and bathrooms like like they not been cleaned in weeks

I really love this place there is quite a few different playgrounds a lot of pavilion and big bathroom.u can also bring fishing poles they have a big pond to fish and the creek too kids will love it a lot to do.the good part is they have a huge steps across the street u walk up to top and see the views its awsome.

Small town Park with pavilions. Great stream for Crawdad (Crawfish) hunting with the kids. Small pond for fishing. Lots of playground equipment for the little ones.

During the weekdays it is so quiet and peaceful. The weekends are a little more crowded but still quite nice. Give a very good rating.

When i was a kid you could swim in the pond. There was a small beach area. Glad to see after all these years how many people still enjoy the park and the events the hold there

Red Run Park has at least 3 different playgrounds, ample room and plenty of shade.. plenty of picnic tables and 2 or 3 pavilions.

Clean rest rooms, nicely appointed pavilions, playgrounds and a wading stream with a bridge perfect for Pooh Sticks. And a lovely circle line narrow gauge train, run by volunteers for donations, summer weekends.

So much fun!!! Awesome.place.to go for some smer fun and partys! Kids can get wet and also play on the playground.. highly recommend

Clean well cared for. The playground equipment for the children is plentiful and in real good shape. The Pavilions have lights and an electrical outlet. Must call and reserve a pavilion.

My only concern is the parking. It took longer than I expected to find a spot.

This is a typical small town park. A pond sits next to the park, and a stream runs through it. It’s a nice place to relax in the semi-wilderness of Rouzerville.

A great place to let the kids play on the playgrounds and in the creek. The entire park is shaded. It feels a bit dirty but, honestly, I think that is because it is so dark. Can get very busy at times. A few festivals happen here throughout the summer.
