I agree with the other 1 star review pointing out the inadequacy of this facility. Given the precedent set by other zoological parks (thinking San Diego and North Carolina), this facility is inadequate. The pins are too small, with too little artifacts for mental stimulation and social exploration. The accompanying outside facility is also too small. Have these animals every run more than 15ft? And the worst part is that their demeanor seems to reflect this state of existence. In the end, this place left me a little heavy hearted.
Beautiful exhibit. Could be bigger.
Im giving it a 1 star ONLY because this area is way too small for these animals. A zoo under the Smithsonian name needs to do better. I know it cant be done overnight but the animals looks so bored and cramped.
The gorillas here are looking well. My kids love them and sometime its so funny once my girl trying to talk with them lol.
The apes hide in the corners and if youre not up on them all youll see is a glare of the people. The orangataungs were up on their crossing line with a small child sized one as well.
Good but difficult to see apes as they rarely appear.
Pooooor and smelly. not nice at all
Gorillas very personal. But keot throwing up.
Very crowded but awesome views of the apes/gorillas. I saw at least three baby gorillas too!
There’s barely any animals ...
Very small and it can become congested quickly. It has a few big areas for the animals to roam, and theres a small area outside.
Can get stuffed with people. Try to time your visit here right. Still good though!
Dont come out lot of the time but they look well and they are funny :D
Some amazing beasts in here but i couldnt help feeling a little sad as the apes didnt have a huge amount of space to play and move about.
As soon as I walked in I left. The first thing I saw was a gorilla inside a cage who seemed bored out of his mind, and trying to avoid people. Not good
Very Nice
