The club has a good atmosphere and the comedians were funny. The food was okay but portions were on the smaller side. Luckily the the prices weren’t bad. The beer selection was good and at first I thought drinks was reasonably priced also but most beers are only a 10.5 oz pour. I recommend going to the place for the comedy but eat dinner somewhere else.

The DC Comedy Loft is a smaller version of the DC improv. The atmosphere is the same, with the same comedy club concept, rules and setup. The food is mediocre but you are there for the laughs and the fun of it so it isnt a deal breaker. There are plenty of restaurants in the area so eat somewhere else and just have a couple of drinks and laughs during the comedy show instead. The comedians vary from local talent to artist that you have seen on tv or in movies which is exciting and rewarding since the ticket prices are very reasonable, especially with a groupon discount. You definitely will get your moneys worth.#fallynsfoodieexcursions#dccomedyloft#livelaughlove#hereforthelaughs#bierbarontavern#dccomedyloft

I visited to see Shane Mauss. The venue is a great cozy place with lots of character, and great food and drinks.

Loved the show but dear Lord this place is a fire hazard. Even the comedian was making jokes about it. I could barely see the show from where I was sitting. We were crammed shoulder to shoulder and I was covered in sweat by the end of the show (hopefully just mine). We were also required to purchase drinks and food which we were not previously warned about, so I did not have my wallet on me and had to have a friend spot me. All in all, terrible experience. It is especially disappointing since I had to drive across the state to see the comedian perform only to be forced into the back corner where I could barely hear him.

We had a great time seeing the comedians, but it was uncomfortably warm and the large tvs advertising other events were distracting.
