Great place for fitness activities or simply walking. The veil from the hill is beautiful as well. The kids live to run around on top and even run down the hill. Plenty of room to play sports with friends and kids can even view the ducks near the lake.

Family oriented. Nice playground not sure if its open at this time though. For me its just a nice place to get some fresh air. I have lots of beautiful memories here with my kids.

Parents: playgrounds closed. Exercise equipment is allowed... like adult jungle gyms to sweat on maybe just maybe we can make an exception for the kids with adult supervision to keep protocols. Not a lot of options to keep their sanity, but I figured going to an open park would be okay and then cleaning their hands. Any studies proving outdoor kids playgrounds have spread COVID like wildfire?

Such a great use of public space. Many exercise workout spots with suggestions for all ages. Immaculately clean. Unbelievable if the many ways you can walk a mountain! I always enjoy kids being kids. To see the diversity of families working out, walking, and jogging makes me smile. Nice place for a date or possibly meet someone new. Mount Trashmore has this and more. A must visit should you visit Virginia Beach area.Many people did not wear masks. Lets not drop the ball this flu season, Stay Safe and Healthy.

I come here to get out and skate. I ride quad roller skates and the ground is smooth enough all around (some places better than others) to roll around the lake and enjoy my music and fresh air. Parking is abundant when Im there as well as getting a good workout even off skates. Outdoor workout equipment is available and a park for children.

Love this park. It is the closest to our house. Kids love to bike there. We also fish there and kids loves tumbling down the mountain

Really nice park. From walking to jogging to circuit training with really cool views. The view from the top is awesome and even better if you bring a kite to fly.Adequate parking.Its an excellent choice to park and enjoy a meal.Lots of cabanas, grills, has a skatepark and kids playground to enjoy post-COVID19.

Its a lovely landmark to visit! 100% worth the trip. You can walk or play; theres something for everyone.

Its a nice place to relax, exercise, read a book or kill time. My son loves the skate park. Its beautiful and clean. Highly recommend for family safe fun.

Really beautiful place. It has a playground, skate park, picnic area, concert area, and of course the trash hill. All in all its an all conclusive park with great scenery.

Wonderful public park! There are two paved walking paths. One is around the mountain and then connects with the second around the lake. There is a wonderful play area for kids - tire swing, climbing options, slides, monkey bars, swings (reg, infant, & special needs), etc. Public bathrooms are actual bathrooms (not porta-potties) and well kept. Along the walking path, there are plenty of dog clean-up stations too.

Beautiful fall day. Intelligent families out safely socially distant, masks on approaching others. A few picnics, biking, couples and friends walking the 2.2 miles around the lake, singletons walking their dogs, athletes and dancers showing off their fine forms hilltop, children playing, skateboards and scooters, ducks waddling, toddlers toddling, geese grooming. Family reunions and outings.

It was my first time visiting and the weather was beautiful. So many great spots for photo sessions.

Mt Trashmore. Is exactly that it is a trash dump that has been closed and covered. Then turned it a a 1st class park on Virgina beach. There is a wide open walking / running trails with various exercise stations. A large childrens play area that is well maintained.

I have officially summited the mount of trash. It tested my physical and mental fortitude. There were times we didnt think we could go on but we pushed through to endless views of 264 interstate

Park is amazing and well worth the trip. Plenty of space, great views, and atmosphere. Hidden gem in VA. Make sure you stop for a great time.

Love it! Offers workout stations in addition to the hills where it’s awesome to fly a kite. Steps that go up along side the hill and a walking/ running paved path which goes all the way around the park. Different types of birds. Ducks and geese. Family friendly. Clean bathrooms. Big and small play grounds, fenced in skate park and friendly ppl. Let’s not forget about the many picnic areas. Park would be even better if ppl cleaned up after their dogs. The park provides bags and a place to discard the waste. The park is very popular and usually has a lot of ppl. Good place for all!

Its nice and big, the smaller side has exercising equipment. There is also a track and kids cove, basically a bigger park on the other side of the giant hill. You can have picnics on the hill. There is a bathroom. Enjoy the park!

Love going here for our family walk. Wish the would fix the bad drainage around the path closest to the mount/main road. Every time it rains you have to step on big puddles of water. Other than that, it has a beautiful park for the kids, you can fly your kite at the top of the mount, you can reserve a pavilion to BBQ, you can walk on the new dock, you can watch the ducks on the river, you can walk over 3 miles, no problem, and it has workout stations.

This place is so cool! I remember going here when I was a little girl...(like 35-40ish years?). I live in Mobile, AL and was visiting my aunt who at the time lived in Virginia Beach because my uncle was in the Navy. What a summer! I took an airplane trip all alone (terrifying!!), I learned how to ride a bike on my cousins smaller bike (finally!), made friends with a neighbor girl and we got to swim at her house, went to the beach and I got caught in the undertow and VERY nearly drowned but then felt my aunts strong grip on my arm lifting me up out of the water as I was tumbling and spinning and thought I was going to die!; and of course, visiting Mount Trashmore! It was mostly just grass at that time but I thought it was the greatest thing ever...and me and my 3 boy cousins ran up and down that hill for HOURS (which my aunt loved because it wore us all out!). I think its awesome that this place is still a thing and a popular place for families! This crazy hill will always be a part of my greatest childhood memories!

Good exercising areas spread out along the trails. Picnic tables and grills are available by appointment. Great for dog walking too. Views are pleasant and lots of sunlight.

Fun place to bring kids or take a walk. There is a ton to do, even just rolling down the hill is fun.

Lots of room to get your exercise in, whether it be running stairs, jogging, biking, scooters, kite flying, a skate board park, picnic tables, benches, maintained bathrooms, working water fountains and regular trash and recycle collection. Highly recommend. I even saw what looked like zumba, but I dont know if thats an organized class.

Great place to go with the family! Nice and windy for kite flying. They got a nice lake and play grounds.

My go-to park for walks. The trail is convenient and provides distance markers for reference. If you are sun sensitive it may not be for you, the path itself has very little shade, and for long stretches no shade at all. Also water tends to puddle and block portions of the path which could be looked into.

Very good walking trails. People not as friendly as back home.

Nice 0lace for a walk, had taken my sons dog for walks here. Very clean and has all you need to clean up after your pet throughout the park and nice playground for the kids

The Kids Cove playground complex here irrefutably represents the highest level of achievement in Tidewater-area childrens daytime amusement. Its accessible, sprawling and well-maintained; everybody gets some sun and my four-year-old gets so psyched that she usually ends up dragging us for a hike to the top of the ingenious landfill hill! 8 stars!

Always a good time at Mt Trashmore. Got in a few miles and then hit the steps for some hill work. Great place for the entire family to visit with a few playgrounds for the kiddos. Plenty of space if you want to picnic and also a nice run/walk trail that goes around the Mt Trashmore Lake.

If your looking for a place to get outdoors with the kids and let them run around in the city this is the perfect place to go! It has lots of places to exercise and a huge play place for the kids to be kids!

Great park to enjoy the out doors. Kind of your typical city park but there are a lot of different areas and activities to enjoy. The hill its self, the walking/biking paths, pavilions, concert stage, skate park etc etc .Not lit at night so I am guessing the close at dusk.

We always enjoy coming here throughout the year, they always have things to do here and it’s a great free getaway! Kids love this place and it’s an amazing place to go during cookouts or just a day out to the park. There’s so much to do and to see, we love riding scooters and our bikes here and love taking the kite out to fly on windy days. This is an a awesome place to make memories with family and friends, definitely a place to check out when traveling to Hampton roads!

This park is awesome! It has a lake with a trail around the whole park. Huge playground area for the kids, restrooms and a spectacular view from the top. We will definitely return!!

It is a beautiful wonderful place to walk or exercise. Definitely a place to bring the kids. Be mindful of where you step as there are many geese. Definitely family oriented, great place for parties.

My family and I had a blast during the 4th of July, 7/4/2020. Great place for practicing social distance. The park is very large therefore, it makes it easier for people to spread out. Facilities were clean as far as the public restrooms. The park itself was clean and well maintained. We were able to do so many activities on one day; bike riding, walking, running, riding the scooters, flying the kites, play soccer and football, watch the people at the skate park and feed the ducks and turtles. We had our 4th of July dinner there. We just ordered from PF Changs which is not far from the park and Cheesecake Factory for dessert. Plenty of seating and tables to use at the park.The bonus was being able to watch fireworks across the street from the park. Oh, I almost forgot, I loved the security throughout the park. There was law enforcement driving around the park monitoring. Overall, great place to spend quality time with your family.

My favorite park in existence. It has a huge walkabout around the lake and the mount itself. It has a lovely dock like area that allows fishing, and has a beautiful view of the lake. It also has a great park for the kids who visit it, as well as a skate park for the skaters out there. I went here with my mom, and she had plenty of places to sit down and relax.

The people were great, we got to experience Kona Ice (yum), and we had a great time. The walking trail could use a little attention, but all in all we had a great experience.

Very BUSY all the time. Lots of people and dogs. They need to clean and sanitize everything. Every time we took the grandkids they ended up sick within a day or 2. They have exercise stations and neat playground equipment. Not enough swings or special needs equipment.If you have multiple kids, bring extra help to keep a safe eye on the little ones.

Fantastic place with a little of everything for everyone if you want to get some outside time. I go for the poke-stops and to walk my dogs.

Mount Trashmore is a fixture in our city. This where everyone comes to walk around the lake, to get fit and walk up the hill to run down again. Simply magical place.

Great place to sight see at the top of the hill. Good paths for biking, skating, walking or running. Skateboard area. New Stage area in the middle. Restrooms are located near the kids park. For pokemon go players there are plenty of pokéstops and gyms.

Such a fun place for the whole family. My daughter loves the huge playground. The walking/jogging paths are well cared for as well. It’s a great place to fly a kite. It’s a great place to get a good workout—especially climbing the steps or even just the hill. Pavilions and picnic tables are also there for shade during the hotter months and the opportunity to bring a lunch or snacks. Very kid friendly.

Best park in the area. Lots of room to run, exercise, play Pokemon GO, fly kites. The scene is wonderful and is a relaxing place to be. Definitely worth a visit.
