This park is in the hood, but it is one of the best kept parks in the High Desert. You can catch a softball game, or shoot some hoops, or take a walk along the skid row boardwalk that is the Mojave River Trail. Yes there are transients there regularly, but Ive never been hir for change or experienced any altercations there. Its quiet, and green, with enough space for everyone.
A sketchy but beautiful park. The park is a nice size, with two play grounds, a basket ball court and a couple soccer fields. My friend and I wanted to go for an evening walk outside so we decided to stop at this park. When we pulled up to the parking lot we noticed a lot of parked cars but the park seemed empty. There was a man working on an RV in the parking lot that seemed broken down and like it had been there for a long time. Another car was filled with teens getting high. At the other end of the park there was a tent with someone living in there. We decided to walk up on the sidewalk parallel to the park- big mistake. On the opposite side of the embankment were plenty of homeless tents. We felt uncomfortable and unsafe because there was a teen on a bike who road by us holding a rifle. The park itself is beautiful but it’s in the ‘hood’. I wouldn’t feel comfortable going alone or bringing my family here.
Never been to this Park before. Today this Park paid tribute to a man named Alex, RIP, as they celebrated his life. So many people came, Familia, friends, food, music and so much love. This Park will now hold a special place in my heart.
Beautiful park with lush green grass thats maintained very well. Neat little homes can be seen around there for those who want to familiarize themselves with the area.
I like this park because its always quiet and peaceful.I always go there to exercise and to think.I hope that you find this park peaceful and good enough to bring your family too.
This park has more historic value than any park in the high desert. If you ask me its the most peaceful spot in the high desert. This is my personal get away from everybody and think spot. Amazing softball games as well!
Haven for homeless and den of thieves stay away from this soot
I BBQ there from time to time. Quiet n peaceful.
It was clean, enough parking and open space for the family.
It ok good for playing ball
The park itself is clean and well maintained and is a great park for family games and picnics. There are public restrooms available though I did not visit the area.My main reason for visiting this park was to explore their paved walking trail. Word to the wise, there is a riverbed nearby and homeless or similar residents may occupy the park.I experienced no problems myself and enjoyed a nice walk. There are small wildlife here as well. I would definitely bring the family to the family and picnic area of this park.
Great park, lots of trees. A great place to bring your children. Very spacious and quiet.
Great park. Kids played baseball and adults playing soccer. Homless encampment.
Dont go at after sunset. A lot of homeless asking for money. Look in the slides and scan the sand before any kids go on the playground. Nice grass and trees for shade.
Its peacefully
Fun as long as the homeless are not tripping
I only stayed one night but what a great little place! My room was nice and clean but the best part was the semi-private balcony I had. It was rather cold out for April but that didnt stop me from buying a bathing suit in the little piazza down below and laying out for a few hours. The views were amazing and I found myself on the balcony most of my stay. The hosts were extremely hospitable and friendly. I chatted with them most of the morning. Breakfast was brought to your door (which I of course enjoyed on my amazing balcony). Fresh juice, fruit, cappuccino and one of the BEST cornetto I have ever tasted. Made fresh that morning by the owners wife and mother.
Beautiful, home for alot !
Very beautiful park to spend the day on Saturdays with family and play soccer every body are invited
Too many homeless people there are doing drugs and alcohol. Dogs runs around lose their all day. not safe for children. Only good thing about it is that they have excellent sports program for minors
Its tucked away . Not very many people there at noon. Nice green grass, there are bathrooms, base & basketball courts and fields, playground and swings, no baby swing though. Its connected to another park that has baby swings down the walk a short distance.
Its a nice park during the day but make sure your gone before sunset too many homeless people vacate that area and its not safe definitely not after Dark
Well taken care of, could use a new round of trees and desert plants
Its better then the center st. Park!...
The park is nice and there were in the process of painting the basketball court (UPGRADE). There is a nice paved path that runs above the riverbed. But there is a strong homeless presence so stay alert.
I saw people living here and preforming here and it is beautiful.
Very clean nice park good views.
Run down. Garbage was not all over, but certainly could have used a clean up. Good playground.
Really beautiful and lots of shade clean park
Its nice lots of shade and Plenty of space for children to play
Overran with homeless after the closing of forrest park. Found a broken crack pipe at the bottom of the slide on the east end playground. The baseball fields are for aure the only reason this park is still open.
It has a nice, well maintained play area for children
Nice, Quet, peaceful .
Its a big park & its peaceful...
It cool
Nice place for softball and soccer. Bathrooms are horrible in both sections. Good vibe all around, definitely a little bit of transient population but everyone has been well-behaved
Great time-Great place-Great event. Saw a lot of people that I hadnt seen in decades. Very nice
It was very nice and clean good park for children
We came to Haines City today to take in a big 40 unit truck war rally that was located in the beautiful Lake Eva Community Park. This has to be one of the most gorgeous community parks we have ever seen. First off it is located in the heart of downtown Haines City right on the banks of the large Lake Eva. The parks features and very nice white sand beach, clean washrooms, a huge childrens playground complex, a water park with large pool, picnic shelters, dozens of park benches and a huge beautiful banquet hall. This is a place you could come and spend an entire day.
Park is cool but its close to the river. Homeless encampents right on the other side of the sand berm that separates the park from the mojave river. They travel in and an out of the area heading to old town thru the park. Various churches, homeless outreach, groups and organizations have made the park an unofficial headquarters for charity handouts thruout the yr Easter baskets xmas stockings Thanksgiving dinners etc due to the number of transients and poverty in the surrounding area.
Nice little park. Only downfall is that its close to the river and sometimes the traffic is not so great.
A good park, just alot of homeless at times
It is a nice park, it is not open 24 hours. The police close the park at 10 pm daily. On the weekends it is hard to find a place to do anything because it is over run with soccer games. There are at times a gathering of homeless, but they are better behaved than the hispanics that play soccer there. It is not uncommrn to seethe soccer plYers or spectaters going bathroom out in the park. Disgusting.
This is a very nice park, with wheelchair accessible trail, 2 playgrounds, softball fields, picnic areas, lots of shade and grass. The only bad part is homeless people come from riverbed and some are kind of scary, the bathroom is also kind of scary, so just use restroom at home, before you get here. Other than that it is great with beautiful views of surrounding rocky hills.
Omg this was the best crack head park Ive ever been to. There where broken pipes and beer bottles everywhere but thats not all. I seen syringe s, lil rolled up papers and Turkey basters as well. The most exciting thing I experienced at the park was the amount of free spirited people, living off the land like the natives once did. It took my breath away.
There were a couple of teams having soccer practice. A shady area for the playground, some families were there too! On the edge of park are dirt trails by the river for jogging, etc. Some of our homeless, camp out down by the river, a heads-up! Never had a problem, though...
Nice location. Big area for children.
If I was just old enough to retire Id be here all day long
Trashy place full of homeless and vagabonds no cruising action here despite what squirt says. Dont bother
Great Movie night and Good to see our Victorville sheriff out supporting the community and meeting all the families and children .
This is a very Spacious park with two playgrounds, a baseball diamond, walking trail, bball court and large grassy areas. Great place to go with the family and throw a football around.
This is a lovely B&B. The view is simply spectacular. It doesnt matter which room, the four rooms are in line in the very oceanfront. We simply loved Atrani and everything in this place. Pio is the owner and he is awesome, very welcome and attentive. He made from our stay a memorable moment. He picked up our luggage to the room, arrange us the wi fi service, and gave us a tour of the B&B. He also give us tips of places to visit during our stay, like Ravello (a must go) and called a friend who owns the best restaurant in Atrani square to wait for us for dinner. The breakfast trolley is simple and italian but lovely. This is your best option in Atrani...quiet, beautiful, an ITALIAN dream!!!
Clean park by the train tracks for train lovers but secluded back in the cut.
Bath rooms were bad
A great place for family
Different
Great park clean not one but two play grounds for the kids two bathrooms and two baseball fields and two lg soccer fields. Lots shade.
Dangerous area you by warning
Very nice park kept up clean had to pick picnic with friends cozy area kid friendly
Its very family and community oriented. I like this park because they play sports at this park. The family and friends barbecue and have gatherings at this park. The churches also help everyone.
Good to play softball other then that is a shady park in the ghetto
This park is a quiet place to go for a piece of mind and bring your kids and your animals
We always have a great time. The kids love the playground.
This place used to be really nice. Now it is overrun by crazy homeless drug addicts. There is transients with tents camping underneath the playground equipment. We were there the other day and a toothless lady was changing into her nighttime street clothes on one of the benches. We were trying to have a picnic, I turned my back for 5 secs and there were two bums trying to steal the food off our table 10 feet away from us.
Great for the family
An older park but still nice to visit.
Okay on weekends, but on weekdays....its thug life.. Jajajaja
Play mens softball league Thursday nights. Not a safe place once the sun goes down. Keep your eyes on the kids always.
It was calm.
Me and you have a lot and I RubyGurere
Its a nice place to have a picnic. For two.
Love taking our precious dogs for a walk on the mojave trail its a beautiful park
Home sweet home dreams are made from the hood Tales from the Old Town

Nice clean.. we only go here to place Pogo.. not on the best sides of town
Small hidden away park that is well kept and is very relaxing.
Nice clean park and it has a huge jungle gym with shereaded wood underneath it.
I was looking for a place to shine my Truck :-)
Nice family area except when the nigjt park lights come on
Luv this park my #1
Its a nice park with 2 ballfields and 2 soccer fields. Unfortunately, too many homeless people make a mess out if it.
Beautiful views
Nice and quiet
Softball games are fun to watch.
Cool place
Nice park surrounded by greenery and woods
Ok little park, but would not go out of my way to spend time there.
Nice but o of weirdos
Quit and peaceful
Never been here. Google Maps had me in a place where I havent been, again.I have driven past it, on D St.
Where I come to get a piece of mind
Didnt know it was still there. Kool
Not very clean. Quite a few homeless.
You can play baseball and they have a couple jungle gyms for kids to play on as well as swings.
Many memories at this park
This is the best
Dont shoot when other people are loading their targets; be aware of the dragonflies, because they bite when they get scared, but otherwise this is a good place!
Very very dirty and dangerous place
