Loads of trails. A long maintained mountain bike/hiking trail as well. Restrooms available as well as many picnic areas. Orange trail was flooded out at the time we were here in February 2019. A multitude of structures and campground looking places. No entrance fee that I saw.

Beautiful walk. Didnt see any other people. On the drive there, we saw a panther and a wild turkey but once we started walking, we only saw trees and plants. A few parts of the trail were swampy but we were able to get through.

This place has a different vibe to it being that its off the beaten path... theres no concession area less people more Wilderness more acreage for now.

Awesome place to visit if you want to get away from everything and just hangout in nature. Sherm is a wealth of knowledge on the park and just an all around great person, you can meet him at the information cabin. Well kept trails and plenty of wildlife so you are assured to have a great time.

Our favorite place for bike ride. Close to the house, nice trails and plenty of wildlife to see from gators, deers, bobcat, raccoons, Sandhill cranes, wild boar to any kind of birds.

Many miles of trails/fire roads through about 12,000 acers. Always good vegetation/flowers. Some wildlife. Near the entrance theres a pravilion picnic tables and rest room. The rest of the park is undeveloped except for the trails. Bring water.Theres a single track bicycle trail thats many miles long.

Great for families or lone hikers. Trails are clearly marked, bathrooms available. Went on a Sunday when it was busy but hardly saw anyone on the trail, plenty of space for everyone.

We just did our first hike at Carlton Preserve, it was a spontaneous trip. We did the Orange Trail...It was a beautiful cool and sunny January morning. We saw a large flock of American Robbins, estimate over 200. We are already planning our next trip, and will be prepared to explore some of the longer trails.

99.9% sure I almost ran into a panther today on trail. I have seen many bobcats and this sir was def not bobcat. Anyone else ever see a Florida panther here? Wildlife is always out from deer (bucks), lots of alligators, snakes.Someone confirm there are panthers on this area?

Very nice park to go to lots of trails and places to have picnics...the bathrooms foe being in the woods are are always very clean and look nice theres usually no trash around except for looks like the animals get into the cans and take stuff out for being in the woods they need better cans so they dont do that not good for the pets or environment...

Too get away from alligators I hear its best to run in wide zig-zag motions. This is an awesome natural preserve with some very well maintained trails. Very muddy in the winter. The trails near the campgrounds and horse trailers are adorned with benches and plaquards describing the habitats. Large pickinic area and very clean restrooms.
