The paw park is separate from where you access the beach. The paw park has a fenced in area for pets to play. Parking is free at the dog park. You access the beach by going through the paw park.Near the parking area restrooms are available, along with an area to wash sand off yourself and or pet.We had a wonderful time here. Absolutely had a blast visiting this doggy beach. Kiddo wanted to meet up with one of her Littles during the pandemic and this was perfect fun with our dogs and on the beach with social distancing. There is a bathroom and picnic tables by the parking, doggy bags and waste bins and tons of happy tails wagginly greeting you as your pack joins them. This park was absolutely worth the 40 min drive it was for us, we will come again. There is also a restaurant, Sharkies, with a fabulous gluten free menu at the edge of the park. Hubby got us take out and we had the most fabulous sunset picnic at the park before heading home. I have rarely seen my three dogs as happy as tonight, they will sleep dreaming of the beach waves.

We did find some shark teeth. Which was awesome. Did see a HUGE snake of some sort going for a baby bunny. Which was next to the walkway. But they live here to.

Attend this dog beach at your own risk. Be aware that although you and your pooch may be well-behaved, others may not be. People often allow their dogs off leash and allow them to venture a distance away with no supervision. We have a standard poodle. The first time we went to this park, another dog continually showed aggression and wouldnt leave our leashed pupper alone, to the point I waded into the ocean carrying her while my husband ran interference until the owner paid attention. The last time we went was better; however, numerous dogs growled. Ill never understand why people bring dogs that arent dog-friendly to a public park and then unleash them to wander unsupervised. Therefore, we wont go again.

My husband and I come down to FL multiple times a year to visit family and this is hands down the best beach. Our dog loves it and we have never witnessed any aggressive behavior that wasn’t immediately taken care of by an owner. This beach is actually 10 times cleaner than any Siesta Key beach- there’s no empty beer bottles or cigarette butts in the sand. Love this place

I like the dog beach, parking lot is very small but there arent many choices of dog beaches. There is a parking lot next to it but that could make your walk quite long. The walk to the beach is too long but not as bad as another one I went to. People have been great for the most part. Did see someone watch their dog poo on some seaweed and not pick it up once...havent seen any except that once and I have been there 3 times.

What a great dog park and dog beach! The dog park has 2 separated areas, one for large dogs and one area for small dogs. The park has a freshwater hose for the pups and their humans. The beach is not separated for large and small dogs. No leashes are required on the beach. We all had so much fun there and will definitely visit again. The pups and I highly recommend this place for well-behaved pups. Parking is free!PICK UP YOUR PUPS POOP! That was the only frustrating thing that we encountered. The dogs all behaved well, but a bunch of the owners were not paying attention to their dog bathroom breaks. There are plenty of free poop bags available so grab a few on your walk down to the beach!

Really nice, clean beach. Parking is limited so you may have to park in a lot further down and walk to the dog beach. People with children and smaller dogs be aware that the surf is fairly strong with a fair amount of under tow when windy.

All of the dogs were well mannered and the beach was clean. I was not disappointed. This is the first ocean experience for my dogs off leash and it was wonderful. You enter through a double gated dog park. Go through the park to another set of double gated to a gated path to the beach. Once on the beach there are no more fences. But the dogs are having too much fun in the beach area with other pups to run off. We had a great time.

Our dog had a blast was terrified about the waves at first but loved putting her paws in. Kids had a blast looking at all of the other dogs. And was impressed with how clean it was.

Very nice place to take your pet. They have recently improved the parking area. Few amenities in the caged area, but nice for the pets to run around in. Owners are pretty good at picking up pet waste. Ive had great experiences everytime Ive been there.

We come here for the beach and it is worth the 40 minute drive from Lake Suzy! The beach is a good size, plenty of room for your dog to retreat if necessary. So far all dogs have been well behaved and their owners too. I wish there would be a water station closer to the beach but it’s not a big deal. I wish they would extend the “dogs allowed” allowed area down to the pier.The park itself is small and parking is at peak hours insufficient. That’s the reason for the 4*

This place is doggie heaven. So many happy dogs. Everyone we met was well behaved and friendly. Sand is coarse and cool, great to lay on. The park at the entrance is nice with water and leashed in areas. Definitely fun for four and two legged alike!

Was a little crowded but the dogs had a great time and that’s what mattered. I would be careful of the temperature when you go. The sand was so hot that we worried about it burning the dogs paws. Other than that it was a beautiful day, everyone cleans up after themselves and the water was beautiful.

It was a cute little beach with LOTS of dogs. Way different than the beach in Siesta Key where we were staying but all the shells entertained the kids while our dog got to relax on the beach.

There are water stations for the dogs off the beach and a rinse off area, there are also bathrooms for the humans.The mixed dog area before the beach is smallish but the doggie beach is so large!! There were so many other dogs on this beautiful day. It was a great chance to socialize our pup and people generally tended to their dogs. I hardly saw malicious aggression in the dogs there. I highly recommend this area!

Great place to get your dog off the leash and play in the waves or chase a ball. Everyone is super friendly. There are separate pens for large dogs and small dogs. All dogs are mixed on the beach. Keep your dog on the leash down the walkway until you get to the beach. There are poop bags and trash cans available. Fresh drinking water is provided for your dog throughout the park and there are benches for taking a moments rest. They even have a fresh water rinse to get your dog clean from the salt and sand before getting back in the car. Highly recommended. Best dog park I ever visited.

This is a really fun dog park. The fenced in area us fairly small but it is the only place In the area that will allow dogs on the beach. It is one of mine and my dog Jets favorite parks. We both love the beach!! There isnt a dog beach anywhere else until you get to north bradenton!!! So this is the spot!!!

Brohard is a smedium sized dog park with an even smaller attachment for small breeds. Expect to be approached, there is no avoiding this. Many dogs are off leash even in areas that are required. The park has a protected walkway that escorts through an alligator preserve. This sounds very scary, but was not a noticable or presented concern. The beach portion of Paw Park is fantastic and there is plenty of activity of the dog beach. Dogs are allowed to run, swim,play, and enjoy the beach in every way. We made it a point to visit midweek as I imagine weekends are packed.

What a great dog park and beach .they have a great fenced-in dog area . A large dog area and then a small dog area 20 LBS and under. They have hoses and sprayers to clean the dogs off after they go to the beach and they have a water dispenser for giving your dog a drink and inside the fencing area you can let them loose and let them run around with their friends . They have a double gate entry and exit so that there is no fear that if someone opens the gate to bring a dog in or out that your dog might get out. Everyone is very respectful to make sure that the one gate is closed before the other one is opened. Now talking about the beach it is great plenty of area for your dogs to run free off leash. You must make sure that your dog is well behaved dog friendly and no dogs in heat are allowed on the beach or at the park. But what a great Beach everyone is extremely friendly and the dogs are all very well behaved. DO NOT BRING A DOG THAT IS DOG AGGRESSIVE. dogs come running up to greet yours many times more than one at a time . From all sides so it makes it very hard to keep an aggressive dog under control . You do not want to get your self or your dog in a bad situation. But for those who have dog friendly dogs this is a great Beach .After one visit your dog will get excited when you approach that beach they know its fun and running and friends they can play with and they enjoy it. I highly recommend you and your dogs will love this beach.

What a wonderful place. My dog loved running around the beach with other dogs and playing. We were nervous at first since the beach isn’t enclosed, but the dogs all stay together and don’t wander off. It was also surprisingly clean. We can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful dog beach and the water was actually clear! However, the people there were not friendly towards my dog because she was a pit bull. I had someone threaten to call the police if I did not remove her from the beach. She is a very friendly dog and we were just trying to enjoy the day together!

Love the dog beach, however there is no restroom and we need one there badly.Inside the dog park there is a large area with trees for picnicking and a small area for little dogs. However both dogs can be in the same large areaThey have a great place to wash your dog with two separate spickets.It can be difficult to find a parking spot here and its quite a long Trek to the beach from the parking lot.

It was great. You go through a double gate and then let your dog loose. A short walk to the beach. The beach is big enough to bring beach chairs and not crowded. The dogs get to run free and play in the water. The beach is kept clean. So take a lunch and a snack and water and of course pup toys. They also have a spot to hose the dogs off. Plenty of parking.

Good place most dog owners here are cool as long no Red Tide its great place to enjoy with your dog. Have dog shower stations even made a nice new fence to keep the big Gator I saw in the lake away!

Best dog place! Off leash my pup had a blast! She made a new friend and they played chase the ball for about an hour. Actually dog park has a dog wash on your way out so you can get your pup clean before putting them back in your car. We will definitely be back. Very well maintained and it looks like owners do a good job of cleaning up after their pets.

Very disappointed in Venice dog beach or Venice city not posting any information on Google that the park is closed.we drove almost 2 hours ago to the dog beach and thanks to covid 19 and the citys lack of information we did not realize that the park was still closed even though all the other beaches are open. Guess we wont be spending any money in Venice either. Oh well

I love Brohard paw park! My fiance and I have been coming here for years, and my dog was practically raised there. I highly recommend this beach for anyone looking to give their dog a fun, social outlet with lots of kind and compassionate dog owners. There is a large swatch of beach set aside for off leash puppers, and the water is almost always crystal clear and full of life. Short walk from the parking lot to the beach, and theres a fenced in area with hoses and dog poop bags if you need any of those amenities.

We had an amazing day at the dog beach! Met lots of cute fun furfriends and cant wait till our next staycation to come back
