Beautiful and clean. Great day to let the dog run and swim.
The small park is close to city. One of the my favorite to take photo of Mount Hood and a sunset walk - when the sky is clear and calm, close to sunset time. It is very enjoyable to walk on the paved road; going east to the cove is the best spot, Mt Hood face to face with highway 205 bridge beneath it.
Small cramped park, few amenities. Really need to maintain the area. Drawback also is that its right next to a railway. Those trains go through 14+ times a day. So every 25-35 minutes, theres a train horn as you know trains are required to sound everytime they cross one.Bathrooms are closed due to homeless population in the area. Frankly,, this park would be suitable for a small 25K population town. Not for Vancouver.
I would like to see my tax dollars being used better. Trash needs to be picked up regularly in addition to people being accountable for their own garbage and taking it with them and the bathrooms need to be kept up and cleaned and disinfected regularly. Other than that it’s a beautiful place.
Very nice park close to city. Limited parking, and narrow road to get there, but small and sweet.
Very nice park and beach. Nice restroom facilities lots of parking and not overcrowded
Usually clean, but I would stay away from the bathrooms. There is a great view here! There is also a walking trail but be mindful that it isnt just a straight flat path.
Family park. Amazing views: Mt. Hood looks gorgeous. Columbia River always to have fun.It place has long beach. $5 fees
Cool place for a late night hang out. Unfortunately there isnt any water because the vandals in the city shut it off
Nice place to access the Columbia River just across the river from PDX. Connects to greenway/bike path and, with a little creativity, you can ride or walk to Vancouver from here.
Great little chill spot to cool down on hot summer days and nights. Beautiful view of Mt. Hood and Portland Airport
Good place to relax and walk around
Great place to go when you go to the river. Easy scvrss.
Me n my family love this place, lots of sand, great fun for the kids and adults as well on a hot day.
If you want access to the Columbia River in Woodland WA its here and several other spots on Dike Road.
Its an extremely beautiful place and a nice walk. Only complaint is people need to pick up after themselves.
No one there at 10am. Clean bathrooms and fairly clean sand and water
The park is great. Except not enough parking. We found lots of broken glass not family friendly and people smoking weed.
Not enough parking during busier times.
Beautiful and serene. This park not only has a clean and spacious beach, but also has several walking/biking trails nearby and spectacular views of Mt. Hood! Great place to come with friends, family, or just to have a quiet moment with your feet in the sand (or water).
Love sitting with Baby watching the planes take off and enjoy the cool river air. Actually something that doesnt cost anything to do!!!!!
Great place to be at the beach. Not the ocean of course but a beautiful beach non the less.
Beautiful day! Think we saw Mt Jefferson!? South of Hood. Hard to see but its in the 1st pic
Better than it used to be. Good place.to rockhound when.you go further east along the beach.
This place is great! I just wish that the parking lot was larger.
Great place for the family besides all the broken glass in the sand. Be carful.
Its a nice beach and water access
Nice little park thats great for swimming, bbqs, family outings, and more. The parking lot is very small so make sure you get there in time to get a parking spot.
Best place to get near The Columbia and walk along the river in Vancouver, Washington!
Nice long sandy shore, decently clean. Only complaint is minimal parking.
Awesome park!!! Wish they would have someone pick up the trash that people leave behind. Makes the place look trashy
Always a lack of parking not to mention the main road into the park needs to be seriously repaired!Bonus for this park is it is still FREE to use!
Beautiful stretch of beach to see Mt Hood and sunsets! Dog friendly :)
Excellent secluded Sandy gradual sloping beach with nice views of the river
This is my little get away. Close and safe....love it
Great place to go swimming with the family, have BBQs, picnics and play volleyball!!!
Beautiful place to take friends and kids to BBQ and enjoy the river
Nice family outing.
Great spot for the summertime for some rays on the beach. Not a lot of parking but its a nice intimate park. Right now bathrooms are closed until march. There is handicapped parking. No playground but still great for the kids. If you happen to come across any of the somewhat rich people acting rude or snooty just give them the finger and remind them your a person too. Beautiful park.
Love swimming and see the airport planes leave
My favorite beach in Vancouver ️
Nice little beach spot with very easy access from the highway. We came during Nov at sunset so there wasn’t many people. I imagine it would get quite busy during summer. Good sand for play, bathrooms nearby, moderately-sized parking lot. Great spot to kill a couple hours near water. Fun to watch planes takeoff/land from PDX.
Good scenery, but not the best suited for busy days. Can get crowded and parking is limited. They charged $5 per car last time I went there.
Nice place to relax in the sun.
Its great, would appreciate more police presence because a lot of drug use, drug sales and littering still going on here
People need to pack it out better but its usually clean and so close to get to the sun, sand and water.
I love it its so calm and relaxing you will have so much fun
Big beach. Beautiful sunset. Limited parking.
I walked from Marine Park along the Waterfront Renaissance Trail to Wintler Community Park and back. This brought me through a wetland area and along the Columbia River for some great views of both of these areas. This is where the 5 mile Renaissance trail ends. The trail connects Wintler Community Park, Marine Park, and Esther Short Park by a paved path. Marine Park has a boat landing that has the Henry Kaiser Shipyard Memorial next to it. There is a parking fee at the boat landing area. $5 per car. So you might like to just park at the Marine Park parking lot and just walk to the boat landing. its not all that long of a walk. Wintler Community park is a 12.5 acre beach park and is the only city park with public water access. The park has benches and tables, restrooms, walking paths, and beach access. The is a parking area should you wish to drive into the park instead of walking to it like I did.
Nice beach, kids can play. Water is fresh water. Folks were on boats, swimming had some dogs, on leash. Good sand. Paved walkways. Very nice
Gorgeous views!Great walk about, if you are looking to disconnect for a day or a few moments check this spot out.
Looks family friendly and looks well kept
Limited parking and the cops cant wait to ticket people for trying to squeeze in. The water isnt very clean and tons of things rub against you when in it.....
Perfect beach day without driving all the way to the beach! Weekends and evenings can be crowded but midweek in the middle of the day is perfect if you prefer less crowds.
Awesome swimming/ tanning place
Nice clean beach
Beautiful day for a walk in the park. So grateful this is basically my back yard.
Its definitely a nice spot but calling it a community park is deceiving when you charge $5 to park there in summer. Cutting off access to people with limited funds is less than community minded. Everyone should be able to come here to take a load off regardless of income.
Great place for relaxing time.
I really like this place to have fun in the sun with family and friends enjoy the Columbia river and the beach front barbaque or just have some freddys fried chicken and potato salad.Their is a nice bike path that follows the river back to the west end of vancouver. Also their is bathrooms for that important need to go relive yourself. Just be kind..
Small parking area. I did notice a restroom and had access for wheelchairs.
Took my dog here and it was good
Well taken care of park. Friendly peep and mostly clean bathroom. Would be a 5 star buy not enough parking.
Great place to relax
Ive been going to wintler park for a good fifteen years and its a wonderful place to relax it doesnt have a huge parking lot which kind of sucks but its free and its right on the river so if you go during the summer be sure to show up early because the shore fills up fast. And when you go make sure to bring a lunch because if you believe you wont have your parking spot when you come back
It is a nice beach city workers do a good job of keep it cleaned up. I man who does just want to have u
You pay for parking, not the right thing to do.
Great quick get away place.
Clean, mountain views and planes taking off and landing, wildlife.
Its a park. Near an airport. Watch the planes take off. And land. No crashes.
One of my Favorite places in all of Vancouver to go to abd go there almost daily
Its really nice and relaxing with amazing sunset views.
We love this place. Quaint little secluded park right on the north shore of the Columbia. We go here frequently for picnic style lunches. I recommend this place frequently to friends and family, or anyone for that matter, that are looking for a nice place to relax and enjoy the water and some greenery.
Like it nice place to walk and
Clean peaceful but there was a transit person there loitering
Nice clean(ish) sandy beach. Clean restrooms. Fantastic walking trail that you can walk all the way to the new Vancouver waterfront with stunning views of the river and mt hood
Very nice park. The view, the wall and everything is so relaxing. Its worth spending your time here.
A surprising little spot. Beach front is very nice. Walking path goes right down to the beach. Parking sucks.
Love it on this side
Love this park! clean and spacious!
Florida girl rates this a 4 - nice waterfront youre able to swim in and have a nice picnic on the sand.
Sunset over the river is beautiful!
Cute park with a nice view to the mountains and the airport
A nice place to swim and watch planes takeoff and land, great boating on river, full washrooms, parking small but get there early and stay for lunch you will enjoy..
Intimate and secluded park area, peaceful and serene views
Beautiful waterfront. Clean walking paths
Easy access to beach
Nice place
A great little spot in the off season. It gets crowded during summer. And people leave a lot of trash behind. But it is still an awesome spot down by the river.
An escape from the city chaos!
Great park!
Great location. Right on the Columbia River . Bring your chairs and sit around a fire. Only downside is some of the people are sketchy sometimes
Great place to hike by the river.
