This is a great walk for so many folks. The sidewalks are extra wide so that many people can experience it at once. The views are great and the area is wonderful

Right on the north side of the Columbia River. Photos shot looking SW overlooking the river and the I-5 bridge that connects Vancouver and Portland. Its one of only a few drawbridges within the interstate highway system. That barge seen in the photos is holding replacement parts for the south tower of the northbound lanes of the bridge. The northbound lanes will be closed for nine days in September 20 for the trunnion replacement project. Anyway, the Waterfront Park is quite nice. Tis a well-liked place by many.

I love this place. It is only 4 stars because of the large amount of broken glass everywhere. Overall a beautiful place to take a walk or people-watch. Rocky beaches in several spots are fun for rockhounding or running my dog. Great place to see squirrels and lots of birds.

Beautiful place. Kids are okay with the walk to the waters. Be careful broken glass bottles on sandy areas. You can find dragon flies and lots of little shells.

Walking along the river is one of my favorite activities in Vancouver. There is plenty of space for everyone, is never crowded and is very peaceful to meander along the path. We’ve wandered this walkway while dating, engaged, married, pregnant, with kids in strollers and on bikes. It’s always pleasant to see the variety of others on the trail, as well. Great trail with pretty view of the Columbia River. Dog friendly and kid friendly. Lots of restaurants along the trail.

Great place for a quiet walk or picnic along the river. Even on a beautifully sunny Friday afternoon it was all but deserted - a HUGE plus for me, I do not like large crouds, and have not once seen one in the many times I have been there.

Mi
Review №43

A nice place to have a restful walk by a slower, wider section of the Columbia River. On nice breezy days you can often find hoards of sailboats racing each other around floating obstacles here. Sometimes gangs of little ones here, larger cabin type ones over there. There are also a handful of waterfront restaurants here, all with covered outdoor seating. The waterfront now stretches north and south of the I-5 bridge, with new landscaping and restaurants on the north side, too, with at least a few miles of good walking, bicycling or skating from one end to the other. If you like planes, trains, automobiles, boats, and people, its all happening here, around this humble stretch of wide sidewalk. See you there.

The main trail is beautiful. Towards evening, you can meet a few homeless people there cooking on the grass and parking area. The main problem is with the beaches. Lots of garbage there and glass pieces, which makes it not only unpleasant to stay there, but dangerous to walk barefoot.
