Because of the people who are there with boats. They think they own that dock. They are very rude and telling you to get out, to move, to not be there, etc. if they werent there, it would be a wonderful place.

High water still and there is not much beach yet.I wish people would clean up after leaving. Makes me sad that people just leave their trash and wont clean up after themselves. Please, enjoy mother nature and dont be so lazy. Please what you take in, take it back out.

Boat ramp gets a bit crowded because there are to many trailer parking spots for the size of the ramp. Lot of newbies latching a boat and it causes very long delays.

I read the signs and learned a lot about the shipyard history. Amazing how they turned out big boats in about 28 days.Does require payment to park legally. Has washrooms open and were clean for public park bathrooms. Enjoyed the birds chirping and saw a cute rabbit.

The best launch of the day is a good morning here. Still waters run deep. A great place to be a part of. Watch the planes. Greet the boaters. Find friendly people pursuing happiness.

Over crowed on weekends. Dont like the pay for parking. One would think that they could at least keep the restrooms clean with the money they get from parking.

Great viewpoint, about 3 floors up, overlooking river towards Portland airport. Great views up and down river. Solid structure and well maintained with nice signage explaining the area and memorial. Right next to boat ramp so can be busy with people pulling boats in and out of river. Only downside is you pay to park in the area. If its primetime, pay it becaise the area is patrolled. Otherwise you should be able to spend the time at the memorial and not get a ticket. Unpaid parking is nearby and a short walk to memorial.
