Tried to see RAMBO opening day which is my favorite movie series. I had my 7 month old with me. I was told we could not see it because she was under 6. She doesnt speak and a movie screen looks like a lava lamp to her. So I am told by management that you can let a 6 year old see an R rated movie. A six year old that understands the language and comprehends the violence. Ridiculous policy by this theater. I will not be coming back. Unfortunately its the closest theater to my house.

My family and I absolutely love this theater! All around good movie theater. Reasonable prices, and if you use their app you will pretty much get a free small popcorn or small drink on a pretty regular basis, which is fantastic! The entire staff is super friendly and nice, and its been the same awesome people for the almost year weve been going here. Love it!

They have pleanty of security the theaters are clean and so is the rest of the building.

It was okay. $6.50 for a drink is outrageous and I will never buy another drink, and the guy told us the wrong theater to go in.... other than that... it was just okay. I rather go to studio movie grill to pay $12 for a meal, then pay that much for popcorn and drink.

Seats are worn out bad. This place needs some upgrades. I chose it for location convenience but Ill go to broadway movie locations from now on because the seating is much nicer.

Always clean, typical expensive food prices, but the staff has always been kind so I give it a complete set.

Watched Godzilla and the quality was more than unimpressive. The brightness of the screen was dim and it was eye straining to even try and watch the film until there were scenes that had actual day light. The sound system was quiet and the subs sounded super cheap. I even walked out of the theatre to tell someone about the lighting screen issue and nothing was changed. It was a more then frustrating workout for me and my family trying to watch the film when it was at such a low quality. There was nothing immersive or significant about the experience especially for their god awful prices. Was my first time visiting and definitely the last.

Came on a Sunday, not many people, & I really loved the way the seating is in the theater. They do dim the lights dark to where you can enjoy the movie. Madeas Family Funeral was the best movie to see. I liked how there is an upstairs Arcade/seating area to just hang out. There is an elevator to reach the Arcade. The games are a little outdated but my brother enjoyed Pac-Man. Overall, really nice theater.

Why 5 stars? Because you needed it! I like having a movie theater on this side of town! Yes its not the newest most updated theater in Tyler... If your looking for that go to Studio Movie Grill, but this theater has its place. It takes me back to my childhood in the early 90s when everything was neon, the carpet the lights heck even the building. My kids love the upstairs balcony that overlooks the huge lobby down below. I never had any bad experiences with the staff, and complaining about the price of the candy would be ridiculous.... all theaters charge extreme prices for the food, its how they stay in business.

A small soft drink,$ 6.95. I bought 2 dang near 14.00...thats 2 expensive for me...in the future.

Enjoy this theater. Do need to update game room a little. Especially some games for younger visitors. Air fresheners in each area.

This theater is the least crowded in Tyler. Great for date night or even watching a movie by yourself!A general rule to stay away from noisy out of control kids is to only see rated r movies during the summer and always after 7pm on a weeknight.Those kids will have to go to bed sometime and thats when you take advantage of their absence!

A vintage look and feel, from the 90s style carpet to the arcade I am happy to watch movies here. Recently bought by Regal, but we still call it Hollywood. Great points program, watch a few movies and you earn enough points to get free small popcorn, which costs a few bucks to upgrade to a large saving you a lot of money in the long run. Save enough points and you can get a Large Popcorn and Soda for about the price of one regular priced large popcorn. AT&T also has a special on Tuesdays where you can get a second free ticket. Great selection of the newest movies and even hosts events of all kinds as well as premiers. They even once hosted a smash bros tournament!

Itd be unfair to compare this place to movie studio and grill but for the location its not bad.Wish they had more food / snack options. Enjoyed the movie immensely. No disrupting loud talking, coughing or people constantly walking and interfering with the visibility of the screen. Id go again.

Ticket prices should be lower due to the dated theater and less-than-comfortable seats. Only went here cause its 10 minutes closer to home.

I get all kinds of nostalgia when I walk in. Employees are always polite and I love watching movies there. Sometimes can be a bit messy but usually not too bad.

Im from Houston, I came to Tyler for the Rose City Fursanity Con, even though it was small, I had a good time! The space was clean and the staff put up with all us Furries running around their theater like crazy! Everything was very clean and the consession even suggested we get a bigger drink so we could refill it with out have to pay for it again!! So nice! I hope to visit Tyler again next year for con number 2!

This place racially profiled me and my sons. Come out of the movie and law enforcement is at the ticket counter waiting to make sure no incident occurred. Been a minority long enough to know. It is 2017 isnt it?

Not worth 1 star. The old witch at the ticket booth scolded me for taking my son and nephew to see Logan because of it being rated R. Its none of her business what I decide to allow my kids watch and my nephew has permission from his parents...not that that is even relevant. Frankly, I can bring whoever I want ...whenever I want.. to watch whatever I want and their isnt anything you can do about that...because Im an adult. I am extremely irritated that she felt that it was necessary to voice how she felt about the situation. Get better employees. The ones you have now are idiots. You arent paid to have opinions...youre paid to sell me a movie ticket, sell me overpriced drinks and popcorn and let me watch the movie in peace. Youre pretty useless if you cant even get that right.

The ticket booth lady is probably one of the worst examples of customer service Ive seen in a long time. I hadnt been to these theaters in a few years, 2013 I believe, and now I remember why. Is there no one else that could deal with customers around? I think the broken walmart self checkouts are more friendly and helpful than this lady. Anyways, the theater prices are fair, and all the theaters themselves are usually clean and fine, though I remember theater 1 used to have audio problems and air conditioning would go out lol.Theres a small arcade upstairs, idk if the games work anymore. If you want to avoid the crowds this could be a good option. Theres 3 other theaters in town though if you would rather check them out. Also the other employees seem to be human and at least do their job and treat customers with some respect so thats cool. Oh and clean bathrooms! But they only have the blowers and no paper towels :/

I watched Warcraft 3D and a couple weeks later Independence Day. I will look for another theater; the picture appeared washed out both times. I wasnt sure of the cause. Perhaps a worn out or defective projector or perhaps the projector needed adjustment. I did notice that the projector room window was very dirty. Could this have been the cause? Also, the movie was scheduled to start at 1:30 and it didnt start 1:51. Too many advertisements and promos! The washed out scenes on the upcoming film promotion greatly diminished their appeal.

We always are treated well at this theatre. Yes, albeit older, the give you incentives to return by using your card to retrieve free tickets and concessions. Not to mention Tuesday ticket discounts. We like this theatre! :-)

Great experience every time I go. Staff is always nice. Popcorn is actually fresh. I stopped going to carmike a long time ago. I stick with Regal or times square because they have a more family feel. They have policies like carding but so does any other theater and the screens and theaters actually appear much larger than any other ones around Tyler. Also you wont have to wait an hour in line for stale popcorn and candy like at carmike or pay the outrageous prices. Go on stimulus Tuesday here to get your discounts!!!

Whats the point in having a phone number? Yall NEVER answer the phone. Ive called many times and nobody will ever answer. I guess you have to make a trip up there just to have someone answer a couple simple questions. Ridiculous.

Since being purchased by Regal, the Tyler Rose Theater has made considerable improvements. The new manager is choncious, and works hard to make important improvements. The theatre staff has been retrained, and the restrooms are incredibly clean now. The screen and sound are much better. There is still some room for upgrades. The seats and wall coverings need to be updated. But, it is worth another look if you have not been there in awhile.Their rewards card is amazing! I am always getting free movies, drinks, and popcorn. Tuesday is the day with all kinds of specials!The honor Military with discounts as well as students after matenée hours.Look again.

The lights were off when we entered the theatre.. popcorn was pretty tasteless, and the screen wasnt great. Still pretty good

The ticket booth people are rude, the concession people were rude, the theater stinks, the chairs were gross, and over all comfortability was terrible. There was alot.of side conversations with employees instead of the customers. The manager was not knowledgeable on his job nor intelligent to knowing anything other than street talk. Was very inappropriate to see co-worker and their boss play fighting in the lobby, especially around my small children. I will never go back here, or have any of my friends and family go either. Id rather spend the extra money at STUDIO MOVIE GRILL.

Came with a few friends tonight( all over the age of 17) but since I was paying they didnt think to bring their wallets (one doesnt even have an id)The lady in front asked me for mine and I showed it to her (19 right now) and she asked for the others (my younger brother and sister and their friend) and wanted to see their IDs. My sister had her license paper (had just gotten it so didnt have a hard copy) the lady accepted it but said the other two couldnt come in. We were seeing a PG movie that started at 9:45, I understand they have a policy about age, but I think its a little ridiculous that they wouldnt let them in. My brother has a full on beard and the friend is obviously of age. Requiring ID to see a PG movie is insane. What if I had been a young mother and brought my two year old to see the movie? Would I have to leave her outside since I wasnt 21? Other times I have come here and had a good experience, but this age policy completed ruined our night. We had to drive 40 min to see this movie ( we live in the country) and were looking forward to it all week since today was the release date. I will not be coming back here.

It a decent theater, however, I wish they had more play times. Sometimes brand new movies arent even shown until 7:30 in the afternoon.

This place sux... This is actually the regal cinemas... They ID you twice!! For a rated R movie. They dont turn off the lights yet they Dim the side lights and keep the top lights on!!!!! But the Regal Cinemas in Longview does. Go to the Longview theater if you can!!
