Great IMAX screen! Havent seen a movie since before 2020. Tenet was incredible and a must see in IMAX. Worth wearing a mask for.
Went there bathrooms where closed. Better off staying home and watching movies.
Very Nice Place to movies.
The movie Photograph was so refreshing to experience African American from a different view. Without cursing, not one N word are B word. Thank you so much for that experience, hopefully that seed will continue to grow.My rating is 5
I like the improvements to this property. AMC A-List is worth it, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Honestly, Its the only reason I make it out to the movies although it could really, really, use a couples plan. Side note: Theater 6 needs some attention though. My group and I almost reconsider seeing a movie the moment when we see its in theater six. Even the air quality is just off in that theater.
Social distancing is in place. Every other row is blocked and masks are required unless you are eating or drinking.
Great theater, good concessions; it may sound snooty however they could use some more arcade equipment. I understand it a MOVIE theater, but only 3 video games, a claw machine that doesnt even grab?! Come on people, its 2020.
This is a pretty decent movie theater. It will hopefully catch up to AMC standards but in the mean time it’s okay. It’s comfortable and typical when it comes to pricing. The restrooms are easily accessible and the food his typically high priced but it is good. Probably the best theater in the Tyler area. They don’t have the high end AMC seating that you can get in bigger cities and they are a little rude about AMC members being a priority over others. Still a decent selection for movie day.
Older venue but clean and well maintained. Not overcrowded when we went so that was nice. Movie was great. Overall a nice experience.
Good variety of movies and only 5.00 if you go during the day. It is very clean, bathrooms were clean. The only negative was the price of the foods. I spent 15.00 on the tickets and 53.58 on food! That was 2 bags candy, nachos, and 3 waters. No wonder people sneak food in. Id give it 5 stars if they werent the most expensive movie theater (food) Ive been to!
Unbelievable!!!! No one selling tickets. Everyone had to wait in line and go to the snack bar. I purchased tickets on line and was late to a 1:00 movie because of this practice! The line behind us was all the way out the front door. The manager needs to be fired! We got in line 10 minutes before start of movie and took our seats at 1:15! I will choose another theater from now on. Like standing line for 25 min to have your qr code scanned???? Then this is the place for you!
Do not turn into Muller Garden road and the apartment complex parking lot to reach the theatre as routed by Google Maps GPS! There is no access through the fence at the apartment complex nor are you even allowed to park there to use the theatre! Drive past Muller Garden 1/4 mile and turn right directly into the theatre parking lot!
There was a bat in the theatre bugging us the entire time and the workers said that it had been in there for days, and bat poop can be toxic so it’s not a very safe place to be eating and bringing your kids. they told me that i could get a refund but when i went to get it the refused to give it to me. frankly it was a waste of money and a waste of my time.
Food was ok, the staff were quick and nice. The floors were clean and overall we had a good time.
Friendly staff and clean theaters. Best part was the great customer service and understanding staff. Great place to watch Frozen II!!!
Other than the fact that tickets are sold at the concession stand (which takes longer that necessary) the theater was well kept. Clean, organized and efficient.
Good clean (no sticky floors or seats) entertainment venue. Good selection of movies at reasonable prices. Plenty of parking and a great concession stand.
Not the best movie theatre and not the worst. Staff are undertrained and often are understaffed. Seating is commonly dirty but not terrible. A fine place to see a movie.Quick tip: IMAX and BIGD are much better seats and better maintained
The ticket line policy is terrible. We arrived about 10 minutes before show time and had to wait in the longest line on the planet. There was a ticket kiosk that wasnt open and nobody was working it. We had to wait in line for the concession stand to purchase our tickets.. Meanwhile there was one man on a stool yelling out Members Club ticket holders only. Apparently the members dont have to wait in line for tickets.I later went out to buy some popcorn and was told I would have to wait in that same long line all over again. There was no line for concessions only. My advice is to go really early or order on line, or become a member.
Great place to see a movie any day of the week. They are currently doing some renovations to the inside so it has improved as far as the look, but the outside needs updating. Never have any issues getting snacks or watching a movie. Have been here for regular showings and IMAX showings as well and its always a great time depending on the movie playing.
One of my go to theater when we are in the mood to catch a movie. We’ve been going here for years and the theater does seem to start showing it’s age. Some of the seats looks dirty and have started to show regular wear and tear. Most items are priced pretty high but i mean, most theaters are. This place does seem to need some TLC pretty soon. Overall, its on par with other theaters in the area. Make sure to get here early since it does take a little while to get concessions.
For starters, tickets can only be bought at the concession counter, which means even if you just want tickets, you will probably end up standing in line for a lengthy amount of time. Prices are outrageous. I spent over $40 for 2 tickets, a drink, and popcorn. At Studio Movie Grill, that would have bought tickets as well as two full meals. The IMAX was nothing special, and the theater was dingy and worn. Ill stick to Studio Movie Grill from now on.
Clean environment. Staffs very helpful. Seating within theatre is enjoyable, and management was willing to reapply points for AMC Members pass from previous days purchases that had not been updated automatically.
Theater was clean and nice despite remodeling on progress. Staff very nice and professional. Its too Dad that management believes in a self-defense-free zone and not in my right to protect myself and loved ones by not allowing concealed carry. I will not be returning.
The movie viewing and the actual theater was great. They have lots of variety to offer in the way of food and beverages, but its WAY OVERPRICED!
We went to see Dolittle on the IMAX screen. The seats are very comfortable, and I really like that they are faux leather. Great sound! Enjoyed the show. The restrooms were clean and neat as well.
Very poor experience. Over 50 people waiting in line to purchase tickets. Only two employees selling tickets at the concessions counter, which means everyone has to wait on those buying food. No incentive to purchase tickets online because there are no ticket kiosks to retrieve your purchased tickets. Could be a 5 star experience, but needs process improvements.
This theatre is a DISASTER!! The theatre we were in this weekend had a strong smell of paint (wet paint EVERYWHERE) .... why would you even have that theatre OPEN?? The women’s restrooms were absolutely disgusting! They ALWAYS are. This was our last trip to this theatre. Other theatres in town are soooo much cleaner!
Using the concession stand to sell tickets is the worst idea ever. It creates a longer line while you wait for people buying snacks.
Cold nacho chips, room temperature cheese from prepackaged individual pull tab carton, and cold jalapeños rom mini-fridge. All items are prepackaged, cold and served with about the same amount of personality. The theater was clean and cool.
The popcorn isnt my favorite but the theater is amazing. My kids love the IMAX screen.
Nice theater. Very clean. Staff are friendly. Very expensive as theaters go. They have a bar now but prices are very high. Still overall a nice theater. And there is security with Tyler PD there.
This place is nice, but the popcorn and drinks are ridiculous. Tiny crumb from the bottom of the barrel, it was old and stale. I will never be back to this theater. My husband had a margarita and said it was the worst he ever tasted. So, 50.00 later I would have rather ate and drank at McDonalds! Done here...
Went a friend of mine to go see the new shaft movie. Great actors in with very good story line. And great going back to the org line of movies from many years back
Nice place, but extremely overpriced, even for a movie theater. For example, a bottle of water was 4$+. A matinee with my four year old ended up costing me over $40, with a small popcorn, 2 candies, and a small drink and bottle of water. Probably will go to the Times Square Cinema next time
I showed up at 8:12 for an 810 movie. And found the doors locked. I’m glad I did not buy a ticket online. I do not like to sit through the previews. I wish I knew to arrive just a few minutes earlier. I’m sure the movie ran and you sat there until after 10 o’clock to clean the theater. If only you had my money too.
Nice movie experience, but its hard to find, back off Broadway a ways, but no sign, and my GPS took me to a nearby appartment complex.
Poor customer service by girl waiting on us. We purchased tickets online but didnt receive an email confirmation. We went to the counter and the girl was very rude. We spoke to the manager and he comped our tickets because we showed proof of purchase from our bank account. We thanked him and continued to our seats to watch It 2. My wife and daughter went back to get snacks. The same girl gave us the bottom of the barrel of the popcorn and was again rude to my family. Other than the bad customer service experience the visit was a pleasant one thats why Im still eating 3 stars.
Great service. Bar staff is friendly and good looking.
Were ready for updated seating in this theater. Otherwise its pretty nice.
Jumanji the next level was really funny. New snacks look great.
Unless you sit in a very specific Zone the seating is freaking horrible the seats are fantastic and comfortable but who wants to watch a screen looking at it sideways
I saw The Photograph and it was amazing. AMC is AMC... I didnt have reclining seats, but it was AMC.
The tickets are a little more on the pricey side but it was a good and fun experience
Theater placed on a good place for all kinds of entertainment. Theater was clean and seats comfortable.
Too pricey. Consession prices rediculous
Pretty good experience all the way around. A little pricey, but that is just about any movie theater these days. Would have gotten five stars but they are not a LTC friendly establishment.
This place is an absolute joke! We stood (first) in line for about 15 minutes or so while they proceeded to help all of the “premier members”. We purchased 2 tickets, 1 drink, and 2 candies. $40 buck... WOW! What a joke! $40 to watch a movie and we were late getting in because we stood there while they helped all of the other people. Will not be back.
Prices and theaters are quite good. Especially like the way the offer food packages..
People are pretty nice but there is 1 guy there who is kind of snappy and rude. The theaters are nice and the chairs are soft. The chairs arent very comfortable, (on the spine, you know) but the movie screens are big and the food is good and the speakers are loud. I like everything about this theater. Oh 1 more thing, when people come in to watch the movie they have no regards for the rules of the theaters. They sit there and talk and they play on there phones and they squeak their chairs. Movies are great though.
I rarely complain but this wasnt a good experience, my wife and I saw Midway this evening at AMC in Tyler, I paid $34.82 for two tickets, popcorn and a drink (overpriced to say the least) the popcorn was a small bag and I asked the employee if we could refill the bag, she confirmed that we could, after the movie I stood in a line that I didnt realize was the priority line, I didnt see the sign coming out of the theater, finally the employee barks at me, are you a priority member? I said no and I got the dirtiest look...so I get in the other line and wait while Im standing at the counter for a refill and finally got the attention of another employee and I politely ask fo a refill, only to br told that I had to be a priority member to get a refill...bottom line is the attitude that I was treated with...Ive been here for several years now and I really love Southern hospitality however I wont be returning to this theater anytime soon, the managers need to teach the employees a little common courtesy!
It was great. Went to see lost boys. Had a lot of laughs. Best movie ever.
Fine place to watch a movie. Food was good no complaints. But needed restoration really bad. Doesnt matter I guess.
They have the signs out restricting licensed carrying gun owner to carry their gun in with them. *ATTENTION OWNERS* THIS SIGN ONLY STOPS ME FROM PROTECTING YOU AND ME. it does NOT stop the criminal from walking in and blowing everyone away. Simply ignorant.
Price was outrageous for what it was. Screen didnt even come on until right before the movie and when I brought it to their attention the response was oh yeah we have a problem in another theater too Ill let the manager know. I normaly wouldnt even go here except we happened to be in tyler.
We arrived with several others just before 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The sandy-haired, bearded man who opened the doors stated that there were no movies until 3 p.m. and informed us that Jumanji IMAX would start at 3. When we told him that the internet said 2 p.m. he stated it had been wrong. At least 3 carloads of people left. We returned at 2:30 only to be told that the next showing of Jumanji IMAX would be at 4:45 as the first showing had begun at 2. We drove over 60 miles to see this movie and went home without seeing it. There were no other theater staff available when we were erroneously told the first showing was at 3. This man needs to get his times straight. We will find another theater in the future.
Nice IMAX theater, comfortable seats, great sound, and you can order drinks.
We had a nice evening here. It was a Sunday night, so there werent many people in the theater. Staff was nice and accommodating. The entire lobby and theater was very clean and well kept. I didnt see any trash anywhere. The bathrooms were very clean. We didnt have any issues what-so-ever.I will also say that the seating here is MUCH more comfortable than any other theater in the Tyler Area. I didnt feel like I was sitting on a rock for 2+ hours.
The pricing was a tad expensive. The restrooms were horrendous. Youd figured with all of those high prices, theyd keep the place up a bit better.
I like this theatre but like any other one its pricey. One small popcorn for $8.11! Dang. I really loved the 3D IMAX movies, really good, and arranged seating. A regular movie is freestyle. It also has 3-4 arcade games including a photo booth.
Too expensive and the facility is under par. In particular it stinks inside the theater.
Decent experience but the Longview location seats are better since they are reclining. We saw IT Chapter 2 in IMAX and it was pretty cool also.
Staff are rude and disrespectful. They bully their own employees. Management does not seem to care either.I would give 0/10 if possible. I do not recommend this theater.
Its a good theater. Good prices.
Like the very clean floors. The comfortable seats.
Used to be really nice. Looks dated. Now featuring lots of roped off queues that make the pre movie experience feel uninviting, like one long wait. I was going to get a snack but was so turned off by rope lines, I decided against. Seating still comfortable enough. Studio Movie grill is now my preference.
This place has so much potential and yet Im always disappointed. Its a nice, clean, technologically up to date venue but they never have all the ticket registers open so there is always a long line to buy your ticket, there is always nearly 30 minutes of trailers and commercials before the movie starts, and the placement of the drink machines and straws/lids is awkward and odd so there is always a bottleneck when youre trying to get your soft drink (it feels like youre jockeying for space with the people around you). Also, they rarely have the concession area fully staffed so there is always a long line there as well.
I love going there and spending time with my husband ️
The fabric seats are old and worn down. Actually kind of gross when you think about how many years ago those seats were installed and how many people sit in them with drinks and food on a daily basis. They need an upgrade bad!!!
They charged me for 10 ticked when I asked for 2. Now I am having trouble get my money back. They make you late for the movie because you have to go through the concession stand to vuy the tickets. These people are very incompetent
Movie was great cool atmosphere great all around
It has a small bar. I was surprised to see that. The seats and floors were clean. The bathrooms are clean. The staff was friendly
Very nice, good seats, comfortable temperature and clean.
Everything was clean, very cool inside, the seats are nice, everyone was super friendly. My sister and I watched Bohemian Rhapsody and the sound in the very back was amazing and totally worth it. 10/10 would go back
A bit hard to notice from the road for a newcomer to find the place. Went on a monday night, was almost completely empty. Ordered chicken strips, cooked well, tasted good, but it was typical movie theatre expensive
I really really did enjoy this place I have not been here before it was very very clean and when I got there I was talking to you the person helping me and they had said that there was earphones to help for the hearing impaired except me right up worked perfect very pleased
Grab the annual popcorn discount bucket. Drink refills are free. Theaters are clean. The staff is nice. Enjoy a night out...
Clean, friendly, great service. Dont miss out go here to see latest movies.
All of the employees we encountered were rude and awkward. chairs were not comfortable. otherwise we enjoyed the movie, but will go somewhere else next time. they also need a scan card for a- list members, rather than having to produce your phone and ID.
Reserved our tickets online, but I still noticed there was not a long waiting line for people paying when I got there. Snack bar was easy in and out and had such a great variety of popcorn. Great experience!
Seats were very comfortable and theater was clean. Enjoyed the movie Aladdin as well!
Nice, clean and friendly staff. I’d suggest paying for the Stub club membership if you visit often, food lines are long and members go first! Along with many other benefits.
The employees here are rude and dont know how to treat loyal customers.
Great experience, as always. Free refills on drink. How great!
Prices are a bit much, but a good place to spend an afternoon in the hot summer months.
Service was good. Sometimes lines can be long, and online services take up seats. And food is really expensive too. But, all of this can be averted easily, (use Fandango, get a refill bucket, come early, etc.)The theaters are great, they have IMAX, 3D theaters, normal theaters, lots of showings for nearly every movie out. I prefer the seats over the other theaters in Tyler, as they are larger and rock back and forth. And the audio is better too. Great theater.
Theater was clean, employees were nice and attentive. However the movie started late and the popcorn was a tad burnt.
Wonderful customer service with a great selection of food, drinks, and snacks! The theater room didnt look like it was cleaned at all before our movie but it wasnt horrible. Overall I would definitely recommend and come back again another day.
Loved the theater great seating quiet and clean
Very nice movie theater. Friendly service and comfy seats.
This place has definitely gone down a bit. Floors are very sticky and the seats are starting to smell. They serve way too much food now. I guess trying to complete with the Studio Movie grill. That’s fine, but you need to have more than one poor soul running the food kiosk. That kid was stretched way too thin. Bathrooms need attention. Not just in the cleaning department, but the counters need replacing and toilets are broken. Also, this theater plays way more commercials than any other in the area. I’m talking easily half an hour of just commercials after the lights dim. I had to remind myself what I was actually there to see after awhile. Go to Studio Movie Grill for a wonderful, clean, over the top movie experience. Go to Times Square for the classic popcorn and a coke movie experience. AMC is somewhere in-between the two and sorely lacking.
The service was prompt and friendly. My problem is with the theater itself. The chairs are so worn. I was actually sitting in a seat where I could feel the board at the bottom. There were holes in the walls and the carpets were badly stained. I think if you buy out a theater you should make sure it is well taken care of before putting your name on it.
Very nice and clean, I could get a pretzel because there were not enough people working the early shows
Theaters are worn out unless you watch a show in Imax. Staff on hand are some young kids that ate obviously just struggling to get a paycheck. Theres usually 1 that is competent and the rest dont want to be there. Popcorn is cold and stale usually because they leave the hopper open constantly. Dont really care for the self service they offer where you can butter your own popcorn and make your own drinks. Gets to be a cluster with people tripping over each other with their concession stand items. Sadly best Tyler has to offer currently unless you like people walking around all over the theater constantly during the movie at the other place.
