Well maintained with a good location next to bars and restaurants and small shops. No picnic tables, play equipment, or bathrooms so Plaza and not park is an appropriate term for it.

We were there for the Mayors Cup 2019 5k for Pre-K. It was a nice area for the event and for kids to run around. The 5K run went through downtown Tuscaloosa, so there was nice scenery. Most of the pictures i have are of the mascots and my little one, but Ill share them.

Tuscaloosa Rally was.peaceful and milti-racial. Young leaders stepping up were inspiring.

Fantastic place during summer in Tuscaloosa! Amazing bands, food trucks and you can walk around with drinks from any bar in the area!!!! I love this place

Brew and que. Very nice. Venders could have protected there food better from flies. But overall very nice. Natural Light got some seltzer beer out. A peach and a cherry lime flavor....great and I am not even a beer drinker. But they almost remind me of wine...very good.

Always fun! Live at the Plaza. Fun for the whole family. Live band and food trucks. Fun for everyone!

Lovely place to walk . Fairly safe at night as well

They have a lot of different events during the spring and summer. My favorite is the Druid city arts festival. They have a lot of different art vendors, kid activities, food, animal adoption, and live music. This is one of the art pieces I bought and a hand made necklace.

Heat is very good but its more than that, downtown is growing an looking good !

I went to a large tailgating party for the Alabama/ Texas A&M football game at this park. It was very nice. It is very spacious. It has a nice walking are and benches to rest. It has a very nice water fountain also. This is not a park for children ordinarily.

Free concerts during the summer are great. They need to have one every month after football season leading up to summer break

An absolutely beautiful place that is rich with history. I have lived in Tuscaloosa for 41 years and by coming here I learned something new about my community.

Government Plaza is great. So many events happen here, including free concerts in the summer. Its within walking distance of all the downtown bars and restaurants, and has plenty of nearby parking. There is even public restrooms in the nearby parking deck.

This was our second DCAF. Family had a good time. La Mexicana food truck had AMAZING roasted pork tacos.

Highly recommend going to the free Friday concerts. Take your chair, blankets, and food. Its a entertainment district. Meaning you can purchase alcoholic beverages from restaurants around the park and walk with them. Only drawback is you cant take your own in your cooler. Food vendors trucks are there for food. Kid and dog friendly.

Really nice park area downtown. Close to lots of restaurants. Historical markers around the park offer a lot of history about Tuscaloosa

This is a pretty area. Roll Tide. An eclipse viewing event was hosted here by a really awesome organization I cant remember the name of right now. They gave out eclipse glasses to the first 500 attendees. Gnarly.

Real nice place peaceful and bathrooms

Everything was great but couldnt find water fountains and the sinks in the bathroom were extremely difficult to encourage to turn on with hand movement.

Great Tuscaloosa community. I live in Atlanta and Tuscaloosa was beautiful and the people there were super friendly. We ran in the Mayors Race.

Awesome place to hang out, during the summer they have free music. the Pizza place HEAT is great and sitting on the patio you have a great view of the plaza. Parking is right behind in the free parking deck.
