This is a great place! I had a bird wander into my office needing help. I called and without hesitation they told me to bring the bird in. They saw the bands on the bird and said they would try to find the owners. I appreciate all you do!

Was traveling on Westmore and no one on the road at 6am. Came across a small rabbit sitting about a foot in the road, he didnt move as I went by. U turned and pulled up to him. I seen blood spots on the ground, on his nose or mouth and both front paws. I assume he had been bumped by a car. I couldnt leave it there defenseless. I put him in a container I had from work. He was still alive and coherent. I called a veterinarian and they recommended I call TWC. I did and they said bring it by. I drove 35 miles and turned it over to the staff member, she was caring and concerned. I filled out a intake questionnaire form. Glad they are available for these types of situations.

This is a facility that cares for injured or orphaned wildlife. Its an amazing facility with 2 wildlife vets, employees, and volunteers caring for all the animals brought there. Theyre not funded and rely solely on donations. Ive brought several injured animals there over the years, and how they care for the animals is incredible. I donate monthly now because of the wonderful work they do.

Found a desert turtle walking down my street, clearly it did not belong there. I called the Wildlife Center and they told me to put up on the internet to see if it was anyones pet. Since we were leaving out of town the next day I needed to do something right away. They said they could not take it in. They called back as I was taking it back to the desert. Stacy told me that it wasnt legal to do that. It was clearly a desert turtle so was it legal for someone to take it out of the desert to have as a pet. I put it where it would be safe instead of in a street to get hit by a car.

We called and were asked to bring in a baby hawk we found on our walk. They looked at it and told us to put it back. Seems like they could have asked for a video and we would not have had to remove the baby from its home. Don’t bother asking people to bring in animals if it’s best to leave them be. We would have left it if they hadn’t asked us to bring it in.

Absolutely love this place. Great facilities for animal rescue/rehab/release, operated and maintained by a wonderful volunteer staff. All of it is made possible through donors, so reach out and give them some support if you can. Theyve rescued an injured bird and a baby ground squirrel from our yard, and they take just about everything. Eagles to Hummingbirds, Bobcats to Mice. Just a lovely organization following a dream.

Saved a woodpecker..thats a first. He fell into our pool and I noticed one of his wings didnt seem right...but had no idea how to find a vet on a Saturday. Luckily a wonderful lady that does dog grooming said to call Tucson Wildlife Ctr. I know they will do everything to save him/her. They even gave me the case number to check on him next week. MORE IMPORTANTLY THEY ARE OPENED 24 HRS. EVERYDAY. Worth a donation and further support from me.

Definately where wildlife should go to resume their natural lives. I took a juvenile rabbit there on Friday which my cat had caught. Luckily the rabbit had no injuries. I have previously taken a roadrunner and a baby coyote hit by a car which all the other drivers ignored and drove around. Yep thats how people are..ignore it and it will go away. They have the facilities here to treat the desert animals. They are extremely busy and I did see a board with many various animals that are currently residing there. I had secretly wished that I could have taken a five minute tour. That alone would be well worth a $20.00-$40.00 donation. Their bookbags which are given for a 40.00 are beautiful but just viewing a bobcat or javelina up close is a much better memory. Keep up the amazing work that you do...it is very much a necessity.

If you ever find an injured bird, take them here. Our kitty nabbed a baby bird and we got him away from her just in time. He wasnt injured but he wasnt ready to fly yet and we couldnt just leave him somewhere. So when we took him to a vet they suggested we bring him here to the wildlife center. They took him instantly and they were certain they could rehabilitate the little guy. Thank you Tucson Wildlife Center! I hope that little birdie is ok!!

I had called about a baby bunny I caught my dogs playing with in the yard, I told the lady my story and the bunnys and befor I even told the story she was sounding like she was upset and in a really bad mood and says well can you like bring him here and said of course let me ask my boss to leave, I did and when I left and got there the door was locked and a sign told me to call if it was and someone would come, I called and told her the door was locked and she said well your going to have to wait a little longer Im the only one here right now and Im in the back I said ooookay. THENNN we get inside and as Im filing out a piece of paper, Im telling her how Ive been having problems with my cat bringing in lizards and she says sounds to me like your cat needs to be inside not outside I was like yea I know its just really hard with the 2 dogs I have and people keep telling me to... she interrupted me and said well mabey you should listen to other people I just dont like how rude she was AT ALL and will never trust another animal in there care, if they treat me like that just at the front desk I wonder how they treat there animals .

Called with a baby animal in need of help in the north end of town. They explained that on a slow Sunday she could help me and referred me to another place. They told me that who I was calling would return my call. They never got back to me after leaving a voicemail with my number and crossroads. The animal died because of the errors in communication. The only positive takeaway I got was directions and how to keep the animal safe and comfortabl.

TWC offers tours by appointment only. The staff is gracious and accomodating about leading guests through their active workplace. We were shown triage, x-ray, surgery, the ICU facilities, and numerous wildlife rehabilition enclosures. The tour emphasis was about the mission of TWC, which is to return healed animals to their natural habitats. Equipment and structures donated to TWC by individuals and other organizations are featured. Part of the program includes a video presentation. This tour was impressive and very educational.
