Nice park. Friendly people there. Not much shade though so having a barbeque or gathering with friends where you can sit out of the sun is out of the question otherwise a nice fun park.

Very pretty, clean, felt safe. Saw a deer and some hares! Dog friendly. There is a nice paved path but its only a 10 min walk. From there you can take an easy path in a loop (you can see the trail on Google maps), and there is a wash area you could walk along as well. Directions from Google wanted me to go through a gated neighborhood... Get directions to the parking area instead (you can see it on Google maps).

Not a Safe Place. Do not bring kids there. Weird visitors comes there. I wish city and police increase patrolling there and stop bad activities so a nice natural park can be accessible for everyone. It can be a very good picnic spot for families if police can make it safe.

I love walking this park, however, it is supposed to open at 7am and sometimes its almost 10am or even later. I like the cool mornings to walk my dog. What gives? Who do I talk to?

I went to Greasewood park last year as part of an ecology class field trip. We tried to measure how many baby cacti grew underneath trees as evidence for symbiotic relationships in the desert. I enjoyed the time there because we could get real life “in the field” results by looking in the desert. I cannot say too much about the trails themselves but this is a beautiful botanical habitat!

It could be such a beautiful place for trail running and hiking BUT I seriously did not feel safe there as a woman. Creepy middle-aged to older men hang out there seemingly randomly. One man hid in a bush by river bed and startled me so much. Others hang out in bushes and the pavilion. Im not easily scared but I got the creeps by these men in broad daylight. I hadnt felt this uncomfortable in a long time.

The signs prohibiting indecent behavior tell you a lot about why this otherwise pleasant space is locked from dusk to dawn.
