Though it’s unavoidable and normal with spots like this you run into homeless people setting up shop. Otherwise this is a nice peaceful serene place to come and reflect and gather your thoughts and look at the very cool sculptures as well. ️

Even with all the traffic noise around you still find peace within the small garden. There is lots of shade and the lighting provides great depth to the already wonderful sculptures.Im not religious but I do like to admire places like these.

Smaller than I expected. But a very intimate feel to it. I almost cried when I saw that fingers of the statues last supper were broken or missing. Also I probably missed this but who maintains this ?

As all the previous have said. Beautiful small area. Unfortunately, as previously pointed out, people have vandalized some of the statues. The trees provide a great shade which was really nice on a windy day.

As a public park, its only so-so. It has public restrooms, a childrens playground, and plenty of open grass areas, plus a good view of the Santa Cruz River. But the real draw is the Twelve Stations of the Cross, with lots of stonework and bass-relief images. A comforting place to relax and enjoy nature.

Interesting walk with religious statues. The walk is very short, but it is right next to the river walk, so you can walk farther if you want. Its a fun quick stop to see once, but I wouldnt come again.

In theory this park sounded cool but then I showed up and there was trash all along the outside. There were homeless and drug addicts alike loitering on the property. They were all huddled around a power outlet charging their phones and tablets. Homeless were coming and going from under the bridge in the wash just behind the property. 2/5 I would not pay the troll toll

Wonderful reverent place, kept up. To bad a vandal did some damage to Last Supper. Ample parking allows this to be the starting point of a bike trip or walk. Highly recommended. Be sure to read the plaque on the bust just inside gate for context.

Bi

Although this is a Religious park, it is a do not miss item for Tucson, the artist carved full sized statues of Jesus on the Cross, Mary and Child, and the Last Supper. The park has parking for about 10 vehicles, but usually only one or two will be there, and the walk into the park is easy, and there is a wheelchair and handicap ramp. Nicely maintained, it is unfortunate that in early April 2015 some nut-case decided to destroy some of the statues just for the fun of doing so. Thus, the park may be temporarily closed while repairs are made. For more info see SeniorCitizenLocalWebs review of the Garden of Gethsemane, it has great pictures of the park taken a week before the destruction. As you enter the park there are two brass placard and a bust of the artist, the history is on these, and worth reading.Expect to spend about 15 to 30 minutes, and then visit the A on A Mountain which is a short drive away. The A is on top of the mountain and provides a great view of the city of Tucson.
