Great Galaxy Theatre is a clean, calm entertainment venue in our neighborhood. We have enjoyed countless movies at the Galaxy since it opened, then re-opened post Covid. Manager Karen is on top of it. You can tell this establishment is well managed as all areas are clean, staff is helpful & friendly. We prefer this oasis over other movie spots in town. Easy parking, good food, & selection of beverages including draft beer & wine. Check it out!

Went at night, very clean, low amount of people present.Plenty of space between you and others.Seats are very comfy and they recline too!!Food and beverage menu is a bit pricey.. but hey, thats the theaters for ya. The good thing is you can get a glass of wine or beer with your movie as well.

Great, clean place. Ridiculously great screen and sound quality & great staff.My only gripe is the concession prices. Of course this can go for most theaters, but popcorn should not cost over $6 in my opinion. Other than that, great place to see a movie.

Lobby is gorgeously decorated. Security is evident but subtle enough not to be an annoyance. The concession area is spacious but the food items are pricey. Seating is by selection when purchasing your ticket. Plush leather seats are so comfy that you just melt into them . Some of them even recline! Overall its just a marvelous place to watch a movie. A plus for me is that it is within walking distance from my house!!

Love this theater. The sound in the theaters is bomb. Feels like you are in the movie. Very comfortable seats and lots of walking room in front of the recliners so you dont feel like youre bumping into people as you try to find or get back to your seat. Only thing better than this as an overall experience is Roadhouse Cinemas due to the food selection but the video quality and sound is way better here.

This is a very nice, new theater of the up-scale variety. The seats are recliners and every chair has its own tray. They do not have wait staff in the theaters but they do have an extensive snack menu and they offer alcohol in many forms.During this visit the theater was freezing cold. The attendant in that theater was very kind and was able to adjust the temperature before the movie started.

Top of the line theater that has beer and cocktails available. The seats are comfortable. Go at matinee time for a reasonable price. Also dont wait in line, they have automated ticket kiosks out front that are very user friendly with no fees.

1st time visiting. Was amazing, my first luxury theatre and I was glad my son was welcome. I know Roadhouse is limited on when kids are welcome. Makes me as a single parent feel like I can take my business elsewhere. Quick food service, clean and we loved the comfy recliners. Will now be my movie theatre of choice.

Galaxy Theater is a clean, comfortable and relaxing facility. The staff are always friendly and courteous. Ill warn you though. The seats are so comfortable; you might just fall asleep. I took my wife to see a movie that I particularly wasnt interested in and next thing you know I woke myself up snoring. Im sure the folks around me didnt appreciate it. My apologies. The DFX theater is mind blowing. If you are watching an action movie, you will feel like you are actually there in the scene. I highly recommend getting away from the mall and check out Galaxy.

Clean, friendly staff, good food. Only complaint is, the seat tables dont move, do its hard for big bodies to get in and out of the seat. Once in the seat though, very comfortable.

Went to 11pm show, the lines to the snack bar were quick. The prices were not bad. 15.00 for large popcorn and soda. They serve alcohol. The seats recline with foot rests and they have a little table you can put your food on. I really like this theater.

My friend brought me here this was the first time I had been to a luxury theater. Staff were friendly and the facility was very clean. Honestly I was expecting the price to be way more expensive but it was the same as going to a basic theater. The perks were the lazyboy reclining chairs and the people in the snack bar would bring your hot food too you instead of having to Stan and wait missing most of your show. Highly recommend it.

Friendly and helpful staff, very clean and well kept. The only reason ours not 5 stars is the movie room was absolutely freezing. I will make sure I wear warmer clothes next time.

I didnt even know this place existed. The people who work here are so friendly and the seats are so wonderful. I loved it here. Got in quickly and the gentleman selling the tickets accommodated us so we could sit as close together as possible. Great experience.

This is a great movie theater! They arent huge (they have 8 screens I think) but the staff is helpful and friendly. They have a crash up concession where your cashier gathers you whole order for you. This normally slows things down but they handle high voluy quickly. They are digital so the picture is clear and sound quality is great. The chairs are reclining and its kept clean. This is a great place to see new movies on the big screen.

Nice theatre, seats were very comfortable recliners. Laser projectors make a clear picture with great color. Good sound not too loud like some theatres Ive been to. Employees were friendly.

I loved it. The seats reclined back to the point of feeling almost as if I was laying in bed, but still comfortably able to see the screen. The seats are also very wide giving you plenty of space and comfort. A small pull around table to put your snacks on with a cup holder off to the side was a nice touch. The screen is nice and vivid, super bright. And the use of Dolby Atmos sound system finished it off nicely.

Best theater Ive ever visited. The most unbelievably comfortable soft leather chairs and laser projection movies. Great variety at snack bar although pricey but good. Guaranteed to please!

As many have previously noted. Friendly service,very clean, both in the theater and snack bar. Good selection of munchies. Liked the popcorn lid great for sharing. Reasonable prices compared to other theaters. Oh one more thing that is nice, the restrooms were spotless. Nice touch.

My favorite place for family movies

We have seen 2 movies here so far and I absolutely LOVE this theater! Its clean, spacious & comfortable reclining chairs, super friendly staff...

The staff were extremely friendly and this was by far the best movie going experience I have ever had. The pride that is held by those working at this theater is quite apparent and is very well reflected in the atmosphere created.

This is and has been my favorite theater to go to! I love the environment and all the stuff that goes along with it! I always take my family and make it my date night place to go! Keep up the great work!

My husband and I went to watch Aquaman and had a good experience there. First off, I love that they give you a lid for your popcorn that you can also use as a bowl to split it with someone. That is clever. And also the seats were comfortable and vibrated during battle scenes which was neat since it made you feel part of the movie.

Ive always thought highly of Galaxy Theaters and this one is no different. Great reclining seats, refills on drink and popcorn and clean theaters. If you order hot food, they will bring it to your seats. I was happy that I could purchase my ticket beforehand (includes a fee) but when you get to the theater you scan your code and it prints your tickets. Oh, the staff is very friendly. It is nice to have a new option for luxury theaters in Tucson (no complaints on Marketplace) which is closer to home.

Very efficient when buying tickets.The concession area has a small selection of items and the wait is generally very long.Expensive $$$$$$$ concessions. ComfortableSpacious seats and is 5 minutes from our home. Very clean ! Who could ask for more ?

The gentleman at the concession stand was great, but the gentleman checking tickets at the entrance was very unfriendly... However once youre in the theater, the experience is typically comfortable no matter where you sit. Unfortunately, that was not the case this evening as myself and at least five others sitting in the same vicinity, had a draft beer thrown on us by an apparent overserved drunk woman. The movie - Joker gets 4 stars, too!

The theater attendants and staff are more than friendly and attentive to your needs. Nice and clean. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Menu has more options than weve seen at most theaters. Seats recline and everyone has a little table that adjusts so you can eat comfortably in your seat. Highly recommend. Well definitely be back.

Awesome theater and staff. Brought my child to the theater yesterday. I believe she was the general manager was friendly and made sure that we were accommodated. Snack Bar helped us to our seats with our snacks as I had to push my daughter in her wheelchair. Cant give enough praise to say how awesome everyone was.

I must say, I have been to many movie theaters between Maine, Florida’s, Texas and Arizona and the one here at Galaxy in Tucson Arizona is one of my top favorites. It’s clean in the lobby, hallways to the theaters and even the bathrooms always, someone spills popcorn like (me) they are quick to clean it up (I even helped and the lady was super nice and kept telling me I didn’t need to but it’s who I am, I spilled it so I will help) and the confession stand is of average prices with a big variety of choices including beers. I would fully recommend this theater weather you want to see it in DFX or regular the experience will be awesome either way :)

This is the best theater in Tucson in my opinion. I used to work for Mann theaters back in the days of top gun.

Theater is clean and it still has the new feel to it. The large popcorn comes in a container with a lid (which is great) that can be used to pour out popcorn to share (even better). The pricing is pretty much what youd expect from a movie theater. The reserved seats is always a great feature and the self-service kiosk is a plus.

I absolutely enjoyed this movie theatre. It is not like Road House Cinemas, but the seats are pretty comfortable and recline quite a bit. I got the Monster Pretzel and expected a fairly over sized pretzel, but it was gigantic. It was just incredibly huge, still good though for a pretzel. Popcorn is pretty good, and the staff was very friendly and great to conversate with. Definitely recommend for a night out or just to see a new movie. I will most likely be going back here very soon.

Commerical is with no sound. Then right before our 1245 show time, two minutes of commercials with sound. Then lights dim at 1245. Currently in (not kidding) minute nine of commercials {not previews}. Its 1254 and there have been almost ten straight minutes of commercials since the lights dimmed. Not including the two minutes of commercials before the lights dimmed. Its 1256 and the previews finally started.

This theater is great. The picture on the screen is outstanding, and the workers are friendly. The popcorn is wonderful. I love the seats, the recliners really, RECLINE. You could be comfortable and watch the movie. I really loved it.

This place is legitimately now my favorite theatre. Great food, clean, and they have beer. On top of that the seats are much more comfortable and recline more than regular theatres. This is our go to.

Very nice place to take the family! Reclining seats and swivel trays to put your feet up and your food on. Employees are nice and friendly and the theatre itself is clean, including the bathrooms. Only con and this is usually the con in most theaters is the food and drinks are heavily priced. There is a McDonalds on the corner, I suggest eat cheap, then go to the movie. Then all youre out is the price of a drink.Anyway saw IT2 and had a really great time yesterday!

Went in to buy tickets at the kiosk. It was fast and easy, better than paying $13 for processing fee for the online services.

I will never buy tickets from this place again! I am sticking to Roadhouse Cinema! Partly my fault but I am not a fan of the management! I looked at 3 different showings of a movie online and picked the last one, apparently it keeps any seats that you may have looked at in your basket so when I went to check out, I did not see the three other showings and purchased all of them. You have to go to the theater to get your tickets refunded an hour before the showing, which is also inconvenient when you live a half hour away. The first person to help me was nice and apologetic then a “manager” came to do the refund and I had even told them it has happened to other people and they don’t care, they won’t refund your fee for booking online. No sympathy at all! At least with Roadhouse they give you drink credit for your service fee! Never again with this place, I will only go to Roadhouse!!!!

This place has been open for a while now at least 6 to 8 months. I was blown away by how open and bright the place is. They only 8 screens so the selection and movie times are not as vast as others. Watched a movie in the Dolby atmos. Hands down the best sound in any theater in town. The theater smelled and looked as the day they built it. They have reclining chairs, moveable table tops, alcohol selections alone with typical concession. The users will bring you food too. Overall fantastic theater and totally worth the drive from the north or west sides of town. They have a no cell phone policy in the theater screens but was able to capture a few shots before the movie started to give you an idea of the sound system in the Atmos theater.

Ticketing isn’t the most convenient but the theater is nice. Love the tray at the seats. Others have complained about sound but I didn’t notice anything unusual.

I first started going here soon after they opened. I was blown away by the size of the screen and the surround sound system. I was also astounded that it always seemed empty. Like there were more employees than customers. I saw Once Upon A Time In Hollywood today and the place was absolutely packed! Theyre finally getting the traffic they deserve. They have huge theaters, fully reclining leather seats with a tray for food or drinks, you can buy a 32oz beer at the concession stand, and the employees are more than accommodating. Nothing beats this theater in terms of quality except the original Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin, Texas. That is an insanely high bar to meet, and wow have they come close.

Food service was very slow. They took at least 30 minutes for us to receive our chicken tenders.We watched a really good movie called Dumbo! We treated my parents to a really good movie. Everyone enjoyed the movie.Luxury lounge chairs are inside every theater. Its a nice change from other theaters in the Tucson area.

The screen quality was amazing, and the adjustable seats were extremely comfy! My only gripe is how cold it was in there. I brought a sweater just in case and Im so glad I did

Galaxy has instituted a new policy that anyone with a backpack will be treated like a criminal and forced to submit to a search if they would like to watch a movie in one of their theaters. I will not be returning. Especially since there are alternatives like The Loft that are cheaper, more convenient to get to, and treat their customers with respect.

Comfy chairs, a HUGE screen, Dolby Atmos sound, and the biggest, tastiest pretzel Ive had anywhere! And it was brought right to my giant, mechanical recliner! Im a life long fan at this point. I dont want to go to any other theater as long as this place is around. Ill be there for every new marvel and Disney movie that comes out from now on. The Lion King was a beautiful experience, and I really believe the setting of that theater had a huge part in making that movie a great experience for me. Thanks, Galaxy Theater! Very nice theaters. Even if you sit close to the front, the screen is a perfect distance away. Concessions are very pricey, though. $21 for a large popcorn and two drinks!

The Galaxy Theater is clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly, and there is a good selection of movies. For movie goers on the east side, it is a welcome addition to the entertainment scene.

Its okay. Subwoofers were blown and sounded bad. Prices are criminally high. Other than that it was fine.

Great reclining seats! Felt like I was watching the movie at home. Super clean theatres hefty portions of popcorn. Frozen Margaritas and Draft Beers (yes please). Milkshakes and slushees for kids. Had a great experience will return!

Ive been spoiled by other theatres that cater to me while Im sitting in my comfy seat. Dont get me wrong this venue is wonderful for watching the latest release but its simply a classic movie theatre. Nothing wrong with that, but as I said, Im spoiled now. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Was excited to go. Was also excited about White Castle hamburgers. The theater is ok. The seats are nice, but the place feels cold (atmosphere wise). Id expect to get more of a cozy feeling from a luxury theater. Also the White Castles arent prepared the same way they are back east. Disappointing.

Nice seats. Love the app, but it can take FOREVER to get consessions. Plan for waiting in line at least 20 minutes, or you will miss the start of your movie. If you need refills in the middle of your movie, plan to miss a large chunk of the film.

Reclining lounge chair, great sound. Ticket cost is reasonable. The hardest part is finding a movie that I want to see - I am sick of Superhero/Comic book movies.

You go to the movies for the entertainment and the experience like a date night. They did offer a military or student discount and that was nice however they more than make up for any discount buy gouging the hell out of you at the concessions 9 dollars for a beer is highway robbery and stay away from the pizza its nasty. The picture and sound are good, I will admit that but it was no better than the picture at Road House

The best part of our family evening out at Galaxy Theatres was the staff!! Very single person was so kind, very ‘service-minded’ and talkative!! The staff chatted with us, asked us nice thoughtful questions, and made eye contact!! The experience was so different than you get in most places these days. They have done an excellent job at picking employees and training them well.Our food came to our seats quickly and correctly. The only glitch was that the on-line ticket purchases were not printing. They had an easy and quick solution-they just hand wrote our tickets and let us in!We will absolutely be heading here for each and every movie we see in the future! If you have not yet tried it GO! You will not regret it. Good job Galaxy Theatre and especially the staff on Houghton!!

Slow ticketing. Slowest snack counter Ive ever experienced. The rules speech an employee gives before the show starts is infantile. The seats are super comfortable and plenty of room to spread out and relax. All seats are well placed for optimal viewing, even the front row.

This is a wonderful movie theater!! We took our niece to her first movie here. The theater itself is beautiful! Great layout, wonderful chairs, and nice design. The staff is so professional and has wonderful customer service! It made our day even more memorable! Thank you!

Galaxy Tucson Luxury is a great place to see a movie. The theater has reserved seating with reclining lounge chairs. The military price for a ticket is only $6.00.

Staff is so friendly, polite and professional. Kudos to whoever does the training. We enjoyed our visit today and the flowers they were giving to the moms for Mothers Day was a sweet touch.

Nothing but a 5 star experience! Management was very helpful in assisting me with the kiosk and answering my questions. I forgot his name but he told me he was a new manager. Other staff was very nice and helpful when I ordered my drinks and food! I signed up for the free loyalty card at guest services so I can get points as well as $6 tickets all day on Tuesdays! Yummy popcorn and a delicious pretzel went well with my cherry Coke! Great big seats and crisp picture and clear surround sound put the visit over the top. I will recommend to friends and family, and will be coming back soon!!Thanks
