Looked like a ghost town, but everyone was friendly & polite. No cash excepted, limited food at the snack bar, clean restrooms, social distancing measures in place. This is the time to go to the movies! We pretty much had the place to ourselves!
Great movie going experience inspite of the fact that the mall is as dead as a door nail. Great movie prices!!!
Just went into watch a movie for the first time since the lockdowns. Pay cash for movie ticket. But when we were purchasing popcorn and something to drink we needed a debit card or credit card. Im sorry but cash is payment too. If its about the pandemic the person that was taken payment were wearing gloves. Maybe you should have a cashier just take payments and have a food runner. I will not be back to harken 12. They just lost my business.
After this theater had its remodeling, I ha e found myself coming here more Often. The theater is located at the Foothills Mall on Ina and La Cholla. The service was good and the Bar inside the theater is a must visit. They even have a lounge area where you can catch a weekend sports event to not miss the big scores as they come through. I forgot to mention that all theaters have lounging chairs which makes the experience that much better! Recommend :)
Great place, pretty clean and has a BAR. Pricey but good for the experience
My favorite theater in Tucson! The staff is always friendly, the theaters are clean and comfortable, and the concessions have gotten really good. Even the theater-goers for the most part are better-behaved here than in any other theaters Ive been to in town. The AMC rewards program is also the best deal youre going to find. Its such a great value!! Maybe others have a different take, but I would certainly recommend this theater–and I do, frequently.
Very nice place well kept and great pricing. The seating are recliners with cup holders and arm rests. The food is good and worth the wait if not already prepped being its a movie theater. I had a great time and will be using this theater as my go to.. especially since not a lot of people go here. Great seating.
Extremely comfortable seating. Enjoyed the reclining seats. Movie was loud and clear in a comfortable environment. The parking when I went was very adequate I believe because it’s part of a mall that’s dying. Didn’t check out the food or beverage so I can’t comment on that. For a senior citizen the price of entry was competitive.
Its not crowded in the late evenings and I can get right in. The reclining chairs are amazing. The temps are comfortable in the theaters and I just like the out of the way no crowd kind of place! Oh and Im an A-List member and I LOVE that program because theres not a lot for me to do later in the evenings. New to the area and I really like this charming hidden away gem!
After suffering through years of working here, I urge people not to support this theatre, as its constantly negligent of the safety of both employees and customers, while also treating their staff terribly for years on end. Other AMC locations are fine, just not this one.
I get the premium pass line, but having a line this long and having paying customers walk away is not the ideal business model. 3 cashiers only on duty, just enough to keep the premium line moving, but taking no orders from this line is not smart. One cashier appeared to be a manager and ignored this situation as it continued to grow. On top of this a customer had a complaint for one of the other cashiers. After 5 min and unable to help with the customers issue, she called the manager over. Instead of continuing to take orders she stood aside as the manager attended the customers issue on her register. The customer complaint(customer was a premium member) could not be resolved leaving 1 operating cashier. I came to experience this theater because I received Christmas gift cards. It seems to actually enjoy this theater you must be part of their club. Due to this experience I would never join a membership that treats other paying customers like they are not of that status. I will not return to this establishment, especially give the other values across town.
Comfy reclining chairs and never crowded. The poor mall is a ghost town. The theater was way too cold, but otherwise had good food and snacks. With the nice theater and seating and lack of crowds, I’d definitely recommend this place. Just be sure and bring a jacket.
It’s a movie theatre. What more do you expect? The seats are clean. The seats can recline. The picture and audio are good. Prices for food is expensive as every other theatre. Staff is cool. It’s movie theatre.
Love being able to buy reserved seats. The seating is quite comfortable with adjustable foot rests, wide aisles (you can still walk between rows even when everyone has their footrests fully extended), etc. The only downgrade is the ticket purchase kiosks. The touchscreen sensitivity is really poor- or at least the one I went to was. I had to stab it, hold with pressure, coax and cajole it to move on and actually get tickets. I usually buy online which is slick so I wasnt expecting this hassle.
I love going to this theatre. I have been here many times and even remember seeing Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith here. That was in 2005. I highly recommend as they have constantly been improving the theatre.
The foothill mall is becoming a ghost town, sad to see it in such condition again.
Have not been to a movie in 8 months. First movie since COVID-19.
The AMC Movie Theater at Foothills Mall is a real bright spot in an otherwise depressing mall. The theater has made significant improvements, including recliner seating (that can be reserved, so you’re not at the mercy of when you arrive). The food offerings are improving and there is now a bar inside. A lot of people enjoy the self-serve soda machine in which you can mix any of hundreds of options. There are a few good restaurants nearby, as well as Barnes and Noble bookstore (for us bibliophiles). All in all, a good place for a date with dinner and a movie.
The remodel was a good investment the bar is cool but drinks are the same if you go out the the night club. they need to hire people who actually take pride in their work and the new theater. The cleaning skills are little to none so things look so terrible and trashed all the time. No one keeps up on the stocking of items especially in the bathroom. The recliner seats are good and comfortable. Not too bad to see a movie, just dont use the restroom.
Rude staff, stale popcorn. Employees more interested in their smart phones.
DISGUSTING!!! Unbelievable, why do customers even go here!? Was our first time seeing a movie here as a family (Toy Story 4) and our last! We pre-purchased tickets and upon arrival got some munchies. My son ordered the chicken tenders/waffle fries box, which was expensive, but you expect to pay that in a theater. Once ready, he opened the box to find 3 small chicken nuggets...asked where the rest was and was told that was it. Looked NOTHING like the picture of large tenders/fries so we got the refund. While getting drinks, we noticed how disgusting and messy the soda and butter/condiment areas were. Literally trash overflowing out of the hole onto the counter and onto the floor. Soda spills absolutely everywhere, dozens of straw wrappers tossed around, popcorn everywhere, overflow drains full of food and trash. It was unbelievable!! Took some pics, went to get seated and had to toss all the trash and popcorn off of our seats before we could sit down. Went back after the 2 hour movie to get a quick refill and it looked EXACTLY the same. Also noticed that business had hit a lull and saw no less than 4 workers that were literally leaned against walls and sitting on counters talking and laughing. Clearly, there is no cleanliness standard here...it was probably the worst Ive ever seen a theater. Well stick to Cinemark!!
In an apocalyptic wasteland this particular AMC is a single green leaf, ignorantly surviving amongst the rubble. Its offerings include fantastic customer service, reasonably priced admission, full-sized bar, and expectedly priced concessions. The self-help kiosks ensure little to no lines. The theaters (which offer the best wheelchair access Ive seen) are incredibly comfortable and spacious. The recliners are psuedo leather for easy clean up, and comfortable enough to put my grandmother to sleep. Unfortunately they offer nothing for the snoring. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this theater, and am saddened to see the state of the mall. 9/10 with rice.
In town from PA.The theater was great with large screens and lounge chairs. Clean and well staffed. To its credit it seems to be thriving while attached to a dead mall.
This is my favorite movie theatre.
Clean, updated movie theater. Love the comfy seats ! If you are a senior citizen one can get fair ticket price. The beverages were a little pricey for me. Employees were nice. Great location for us.
I am really rooting for the theaters to come back soon! I take my daughters (7 and 10) at least once a month and we love the Imax. Its just one of those things we value doing as a family and cant wait to get back.
Mediocre service. Dirty condiment bar, employees were standing around talking. Popcorn didn’t taste good and neither did the pretzels. For the same price (or even less) I would much prefer Roadhouse or Harkins.
The theater was very comfortable. The sound was a little voluminous but clear. Screen was very sharp.
Very comfy. Concession stand typically excessively expensive. Mall about empty. Parking easy in and out.
Super comfortable seats and theater. Love that there is a bar and you can enjoy a drink while watching a movie.
I love this place. I see two or three movies a week by myself and people are very nice to me because I think they kinda figure something is wrong with me because I see two or three movies a week by myself. I’m fine.
The Joker! What a performance by Joaquin Phoenix! the theater was awesome as well... recliner seats with plenty of space between patrons.
Im a stubs member, but since the remodel this is my favorite theater. The seats recline and you can reserve your seats online when buying your tickets. Tuesdays are the best with $5 movies. It makes date night with my husband affordable.
No free refills unless member of their reward program. Seats arent as comfy as other theaters with loungers. Theater 1 next to restrooms and I could hear the toilets flushing during our movie.
The service is excellent but the quality of the building not so much. They raised their prices. The bar is beautiful but not worth having a drink being so expensive. Good luck with the seats. I give it 4 stars because of the excellent service and the delicious popcorn and soda pop!
Staff is extremely friendly and always going above and beyond. Favorite movie theater in Arizona.
Awesome good price to pay
Everything from checking in to buying food and seating was fantastic and easy. I really like how I saw some customers in pajamas with pillows. I like a place where you can feel at home.
Love the seats. The food (as with most theaters) is overpriced but AMC seems a little bit more than other theaters. I think they have a membership you can sign up for and they send you coupons from time to time.
We always get great service here & I loooove the new recliner seats. The new lounge looks really nice too. Very fancy and sleek. Its so cute how they have a little gift shop by the snack bar now too. & other than the 3-d movies, the prices are pretty fair.
Very nice movie theater! Super comfy seats that recline and have decent space between for everyones drinks and such. Would recommend!
Good theatre. They used to be the ONLY theatre remaining with affordable ticket prices but they remodeled and upped their prices now as well. While its a nice theatre we would go mainly due to their cheaper priced tickets... Im bummed. Looks like the foothills mall is Going inder, almost every store has begun to close, sad.
The only AMC in Tucson, offering the best movie ticket subscription service available (AMC Stubs A-List, $20 a month for admission to 3 movies a week, including both 3D, IMAX, and Prime at AMC showings at no additional charge). Prime at AMC is my favorite, with the subwoofers built into its reclining seats, and the Dolby Atmos speakers.
Took my daughter to the movies yesterday to purchase tickets for today, my 1 year old son was upset so I told my 18 year old daughter to purchase the tickets for Bad Boys For Life. The ticket guy told her she could not purchase two because she was only 18 & not 21. She showed him my license and pointed me out and still said he would not do it, so I switched with her and he let me do it. Today I dropped her and her brother at the movies. They would not let him in because he was 12 but told them they had to see Jumanji which is rated PG-13 and hes only 12. So if, age is the issue for the first why would it not be for the second?? Nowhere does AMC have that policy. Then they refuse to answer the phone. Horrible location.
Great Sunday special. Great seats. My mum slept through half the movie lol
Nice theater. Contains a lounge with TVs and the ability to get hot meals.
Best AMC theater I have ever been to for quality projection and bright screen. Great sound system as well. The A-list option makes movie lovers enjoy many movies at great discount!
We had an amazing time here. This place is so modernized, from the way you purchase the tickets to the way you get soda. Everything is streamlined. The seating is absolutely amazing. We go here to watch any new movie! Love, love, love it! Too bad the mall is completely failing.
Great theater-never crowded on opening nights. Big, open theater in a quiet mall, nice area. I don’t do well in crowds, so I like the spacious theater area. Hope they get the reclining seats soon like everywhere is getting-I’m disabled and sitting in regular theater seats is super painful.
Went to movies last night, thoroughly disappointed with theater.Staff must of been cut and no restroom cleaning, floor littered all over, waste basket overflowing. Have been to this theater many times before and never saw it in such a mess. Upon leaving restroom and exiting theater, carpet was also a mess. No one was around cleaning at all.Another pet pew I have with theater is when it states the starting time of movie, the movie should begin at that time. The last few times Ive been to Foothills AMC they are running commercials and upcoming movies for 1/2 an hour when movie should be starting. In the past these commercials and upcoming movies are shown before movie starts. We got to movies at 8:15 for 8:30 movie which never started till 8:55. Movie was 2 1/2 hrs long, therefore we sat for 3 1/4 hrs.I use to be very happy with with this theater but not anymore.
Great place to watch movies. Visiting from CA and the theater quality and the entire experience was exactly what I expected from AMC.
This is the best theatre in Tucson. I love that I can go to a movie and not have to wait, priority lines for VIP members. They have the best chicken strips and curly fries, cant forget if you’re going to be bad, Cherry coke! Seats are comfortable and love the premier theatre on prime movies and seating. While I like the IMAX theatre Prime is my favorite! Need a girls get away, drink at the bar and get ready for a funny chic flick! Or bring your own tissue because you won’t find them at your seat! I love the adventure movies, thrillers and there has been a few times with especially uncaged, the seats rumble and I jumped so high my shoe flew.I laughed so hard. Those seats allows you to just leave it all behind!
Well, staff was helpful but kept us waiting because she was talking with another worker. Accept that as not respectful. And it is. Well that is ok 2 or 3 minute Ok. But movie did not started on time because probably they skipped the showtime we got tickets. More than half an hour watched adds.
I find this theater to be one of the best in town. The staff is friendly, the service is efficient, the seating is modern and comfortable, and they even have adult drinks if that is what you are into.
We have taken our eight month old to PLENTY of movies ranging in the PG to R rating up till tonight. You have never stopped us NOR have you stated this publicly that we cannot take our BABY who does not understand what is going on that she is not allowed in.Even after seeing that she is asleep you would not let us in. Manager poorly explain why under 6 is prohibited. We have been to your location MULTIPLE TIMES. We have seen Good Boys, Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark.... You name the R rated movies and we have surely seen them with our baby AT YOUR LOCATION. Please tell me why we have now been stopped. Well stick to Harkins, thanks.
A wonderful family day. Saw Toy Story, w/ a gift card. Some kind of technical problem. Mgr Garrett Simon made good on it. Its been a long time since Ive had that good customer service
Movie was great!!! Girl (with long brown hair and glasses at 9am) at the concession stand was super rude. Rolled her eyes at me when i asked for a hot dog, which she couldnt give me because they just opened so i asked for a flatbread which she gave me attitude about too.I said forget it and just took what we had already orered.I was super disappointed ive never had a bad experience at this theater, the staff has always been so friendly to my family and I. Still love this theater and will continue to go!!
Love this theater. Get special promotions (they take great care of you here), which makes the prices more reasonable. Sound is great. Visual is great. Seating is almost perfect (I have short legs so the recline feature is slightly off. Plus head needs a pillow behind it). But, besides this, I travel quite a distance just to use this theater. Try to talk friends into coming here, and am disappointed when they choose another theater in town. Food and beverage choice is great also.
Great movie theatre. Has reserved seating in IMAX. This location also has comfy recliners - a must experience for movie theatre goers. Clean halls and restrooms. Helpful staff! Wish they had more flavours in popcorn but Overall great experience!
Great theater, clean, comfy seats, nice bar area, fast service. Love the membership that lets you book seats!
I thought the entire theater had the reclining seats now. Entirely my fault for purchasing in haste. The standard movie theater seats were worn, able to feel the springs. Not very comfy. I guess stick to the newer recliner seating. Decent food and snacks. The bar is a cool addition.
Ticket greeters are always prompt and thorough. Seating is spacious. Concessions is expensive as always but the service is prompt. I love front row seating and the reclining seats are perfect to make you feel like you are at home. Theater is clean and well stocked with napkins and condiments etc.
This theater is DISGUSTING. I don’t ever remember it being so gross, but I was astounded by it last night. Employees were less than thrilled to be there, the girl at the self-serve kiosk and the boy ripping the tickets were socializing and acted annoyed that we broke up their social hour to do their jobs. The same girl at the counter didn’t even greet us and we were the only ones there at the time. I said hi to her and she completely ignored me, meanwhile one of her friends showed up to watch a movie (I’m assuming another girl who works there) and they acted super unprofessional. The place was a DISASTER. So many employees standing around socializing, meanwhile every single trash can was literally overflowing, popcorn was EVERYWHERE, sticky soda was all over the counters and floors. My girlfriend went into the bathroom, and she said more than half the toilets were FILTHY, full of waste or clogged with urine all over the seats, water and toilet paper all over the floors. The floors looked like they hadn’t been mopped in over a week. Will not be returning. It sucks that this place is so gross as it’s really one of the only theaters in the foothills. Someone needs to manage this place A LOT better.
Friendly, helpful staffThe theatre and restrooms were clean, the movie started on time.
I bought my son the Stubs A-list for Christmas. He is a big movie buff. I ended up purchasing the A-list for myself after realizing I was paying more by accompanying him to the movies. The redesigned theatre with recliners puts this theater above all others in the area. I would love to see them take it one step further and do in theater food service, like Roadhouse does. Excellent value here!
Very comfortable seating, quick and easy service to buy tickets thru their many apps and a variability of shows.
Over the top concessions, comfortable seating with sound vibration for immersive effect.
Theatre is really nice, not ask stadium seating, but in good condition. Only problem is the location
This is our favorite place to come see movies its unfortunate the mall has dwindled so much. But the theaters do a great job I like to go to the IMAX one as often as I can if the movies right mix for IMAX.
I love AMC foothills! Most of the workers are good, Darrell is great. Cant beat a theatre you can have an adult beverage and watch a movie. Chairs are also very comfy.
It’s a really nice theater but don’t really enforce the rules. One time when I went there were these really annoying teens and they were throwing popcorn everywhere and yelling, laughing and talking throughout the whole movie and we notified a worker and they did nothing about it. It really ruined the movie.
The AMC theater was great. Clean, comfortable. The mall is pretty empty. Less foot traffic seems odd but easy to get I and out of the theater and mall.
Reclining chairs! You can buy tickets -with no additional fees- right on Facebook!
The seats were dirty and sticky, the staff was great though.
Have you ever wondered what a cretin is? Ever wondered what terrible, rude, feckless customer service is? Well, look no further than AMC Theaters. This location, like many other AMC locations, employs the dumbest, rudest, most dim-witted employees on the face of the Earth.I dont know how (or even if) AMC trains their employees, but there is a noticeable difference between AMC staff and those of Roadhouse or Harkins.Last night, we went to see the new Avengers movie, bought some popcorn, and the guy behind the counter was one of the rudest, dumbest, most cynical employees Ive ever met. I had to remind him to make eye contact, to say thank you and to be a decent human being. I wish I could say this is a fluke, but this has been my experience EVERY SINGLE TIME Ive gone to an AMC Theater. My suggestion is, if you care about customer service, want to be treated like a human being, then steer clear of the festering garbage pile, that is AMC Theaters.
I accidently bought tickets in advance for the wrong day and I wanted to see the show today. The employees there were able to help me out with no issues. Seats are very comfortable.
Hubby and I have a membership with AMC called Stubbs. The seating I read cleaner chairs. And they have the best sound and a theater call prime seating. We saw The Avengers And the prime seating basically shakes your chair when theres a lot of action. We also so vendors in real 3-D. Just an awesome .
I do NOT recommend this theater at all. I pay for a premium membership and every time I go the concession people are extremely rude and I have to wait in the premium line while I watch people who walked up in line AFTER me be served. The the TWO girls who took my order were extremely rude. No one was wearing name tags, so I dont know any names or who anyone was. Then, in the movie, there was a couple that was disruptive and making out the whole time. My daughter said she heard something and looked over and saw the girls head in the boys lap. I couldnt find any available staff other than the rude concession stand people. I tried calling when I got home, three times and no answer.I am completely appalled at the consistency of rude and horrid behavior of the staff at this AMC. Then to top it off my family paying for a night out to go through this disgusting experience! It is cheaper and a better experience to go to Harkins or Cinemark. I highly recommend NOT taking your business to this place.
Much improved and remodelled for comfort. You choose your seat when you get your ticket. The new seating is in pairs with comfortable arm rests and adjustable foot rests. There is a bar with adult beverages in the lobby. Food is available. There is a customer service booth and clean restrooms. Parking is indirect and one must go through the mall to get to the theater. Popcorn is not buttered and if you like it buttered and layered you must do it yourself so bring an extra bag, its easier. We look forward to enjoying movies in this theater again.
Very comfortable seats, but they need to improve the popcorn.
I LOVE this theater! The food is amazing, its so comfy to watch a movie here, the people are so kind, they even have a bar! Definitely my favorite spot to have fun or treat myself or relax. I highly recommend!
You have to experience IMAX.
Love this theatre. Always clean and great customer service. Plus competitive prices.
The seats were very nice and comfortable the movie was crystal clear with great sound. everything was great except I was not a big fan of the popcorn. I believe it was fresh but it just didnt taste delicious like movie theater popcorn should taste.
IMAX sound system too loud .
Business model is designed to rip you off ... they say it’s better technology !! They don’t care about their customers . Ordered tickets online which most of us have to do now to get any decent seat.... and now the online “ convenient” fee is 7 dollars ? What I could buy another ticket ... then when you select wrong movie time and need to change it in this instance 10 seconds later for a movie in The future by days you can not with out losing your “ convenience fee and when you bring this to their attention they couldn’t care less because they have your money now ... so that’s the last time I’ll use AMC Theaters ... I bet they will do nothing about this
I really love the renovations they did at this theater! The reclining seats are so awesome, really makes going to see a movie so much better. The bar is great just wish it stayed open a bit later on weekdays! Join their Stubs rewards thing so very much worth it!
First time here. So up to date. Clean. Fun environment. Love the theatre chairs ! Close to home. We will return without question.
Good specials, comfortable seating - they really need to work on cleanliness overall. The renovations and upgrades were fantastic but they are slipping up on clean up or I would have given 5 stars.
I love Star wars it was two best movie of the whole year thank you ️
Love the cushy, leather reclining seats! They have a rewards card you can sign up for online and earn points towards buying tickets and food. And you get a free refill on a large popcorn purchase.
Great movies and great quality so much fun with the family.
Smelt funky in theater. Floor crazy sticky. Gross.
Great movie fresh popcorn and cold soda....great night
AMC Foothills 15 is one of my favorite places to enjoy a great movie. It was renovated a few years ago and the upgrades are great. They added a bar, lounge seating, upgraded bathrooms, upgraded seats and more. They have a great selection of snacks and it is affordable. I am also a Stubs member which is completely worth it. You get free snack upgrades, accumulate points to redeem on purchases, no additional fees for tickets, special event goodies and more.
