This used to be an amazing park. Now it is just nice. Most roads are closed now and the pool is old and decayed. The playground and bbq area is mediocre at best. The disc golf is a decent course.

Little chilly but always good to get out

Has a nice disc golf course which seems pretty popular! Also, has a nice book walk for the kids. Was very well done. (As of July 2020) A nice place to go for a walk.

Large heavily used picnic park with grills and picnic tables. Water spray fountain for the kids. Pavilion for rent. Plenty of shade under trees. Run down bathroom facilities. Road areas seriously in need of repair. Horrific shame that large pool is empty, and neglected. This park could be a jewel. Wonderful sunset view from gazebo or bench at the top of the park.

Lot of green vegetatation in the heart of Troy, NY. Children can play with equipments specially meant for them . The view of Troy City from the park is lovely. Lot of space for family and friends to spend time. Nice place for picnic also.

Being there with my son I thought it was very beautiful and ambience was amazing....

Neat little park, kept clean great view. People use it to smoke weed so its kind of difficult to bring kids in certain areas...but hey do you.The four stars is simply because there is a HUGE cement old pool Im assuming just rotting.

HAD SUCH CALM & SERENITY. THE TREES WERE OLD AND LOVELY BUT THE SWIMMING POOL IS SOOOO SAD . I REMEMBER BEING HERE WITH MY MOTHER LONG AGO .WE WOULD WALK FOREVER TO GET HERE BUT IT WAS WORTH IT 55 YEARS AGO .

I love this park. It has no real distinct features except that it is closeby to our urban area and accessible to our citys residents. They have wisely recently blocked off vehicle access to the overlook. This has inhibited the massive partying gatherings there. They have also installed security cameras there. As a long time park goer, This change is phenomenal.

I adore the park. It has a ton of stuff for kids and families. The views of Troy are amazing.

Half the park is well kept and the other half has fallen into disrepair. Its a beautiful space worthy of being used again. May new life spring up once again.

Discgolf course is awesome!

This place was pretty nice. There are picnic tables with grills, a park for the kids to play in, cooling station for kids and even a place to play baseball. Its a good place to hold a family party or an event.

A good wholesome park, has kids play ground..with a big slide. It has pavilions to rent for big parties..tennis..basketball..bathrooms. In the simmer their is a big watersprinkler.. baseball field..a great view of Troy.. A nice place to relax.

Went for a picnic. Was very nice, parking was a little difficult but managed. Recovering from surgery so I didnt walk around much but what I did see was pleasant. Definitely would go back.

Its a real nice park. Plenty of space for people to relax. I do see garbage left behind. Wish people would carry out what brought in. This is excellent place that’s entirely up to us public to make sure we protect and use it.Great Views of Albany and Troy downtown.Steep trails for good workout.Playground for children. And tennis courts.Missing is fenced in dog park area. If they can arrange something for dogs it would be fantastic.

It could be better maintained

Its a very pretty park. There are spots with tables for people sit and hangout. Since it is at the top of a hill, you can get a beautiful view of the downtown. You get see the sunset too!! Parking is free.

Its a lot of land .. it has good areas but can use some more things to do for the kids. Over all its good. I like it bc u can be alone or bring friends and have a cook out and just chill..

Bathrooms were filthy!! Just left there to go,somewhere else. No toilet paper water all over floors and toilets disgusting. Only half the lawn mowed you would think that being memorial day it would have been upkept much better.

Scary place to bring a family. I grew up in this park using the pool, playing tennis, basketball and softball. But years ago Troy decided to close one of the biggest and nicest pools in Troy and just let the park go. Oh well find other places to go, just not prospect park

Sometimes its great there and other times is straight awful! The park is maintained very minimal.

Great park thats a short walk from downtown with great views of both Troy and Albany.

This is an excellent park, theres lots of space, it is well maintained and there some awesome little trails in the wooded areas.

Love climing up the big hill to get there in south Troy

Its obviously seen better days, but its still a nice park and has so much potential.

The cost of reserving for a birthday party at the pavillion was for what... so no one else could bbq? And Im pretty sure they could film the next Saw movie in those barely working, bathrooms of doom, death and despair.

Love the park but city of troy needs to be putting improvement to these parks like the do with albany makes no sense for a good park go to waste in the 90s you coukd at least use the bathroom now they gotta have porta potty which no one makes sure there clean at all times like a bathroom .the pool has been down for yrs ..

Been coming here since childhood, its so big I was able to burry my favorite cat whonl passed away in a spot near the hiking trail. I miss her and will forever remember and visit her through this great park!

This little park is Troys unpolished gem. Its beautiful and a great place to visit; if only our city politicians felt the same way.

Saw Hamlet Shakespeare in the Park. It was excellent.

This park is the best in Troy the only problem is the bathrooms. They are broken and not clean. No hand soap either.

The most beautiful park in all of Brooklyn. So many trails and paths that take you through the grassys fields and around the park. Child and dog friendly. Bring a map or have a phone because its very easy to get lost!

Playground isnt great, but its a beautiful park

This park is disgusting, I grew up on Ida Hill in the 50/60s when it was taken care of, now its a disgrace! Theres trees growing in the POOL, garbage everywhere, I guess thats the NEW TROY, DISGUSTING!

I love the park. But its a small crappy park lol. Not the cleanest but has a great view.

They need to pave the roads there so they dont deserve any stars at all, but it is a nice park if the roads were paved.

The road inside the park is like from a 3rd world country. There is a big hole everywhere no maintenance on the road. The park is great.

Some of the equipment is broken. Need a revamp or update on parking and place sets.

Dog friendly, good lil sprinkler park in the summer, tennis and basket ball courts, grills, an occasional ice cream truck, great scenic views, and lots of parking. A great spot for picnics and parties or just hanging out in troy.

Great site, parking can be an adventure, but it is a lovely oasis amid the city of Troy. It closes in the winter, but theres a splash area, a good playground, a decent pavilion, and an absolutely gorgeous view of the city and valley.

Troys largest park was once the jewel of the city. It is no longer maintained properly. The old pool has a tree growing through it. The tennis courts need resurfacing. Drug use is rampant in various areas of the park. The city needs to pay more attention to this park. Time and money should be invested to restore and maintain it.

It had tons of space for the kids are really run around and enjoy all the grass just wish they had more rides for the kids

Historical Park in Troy needs lots and lots of work

One of the largest parks in Troy and it will be great to see it brought back to its former glory. The view from the stone Troy sign is amazing and its good to see the city working on connecting to the South Troy neighborhoods.

Very close to many stores, quiet yet near roads that are frequented.
