Great place to bring kids if you have them or if you dont both apply,.
It is a nice park with multiple grounds including skateboarding area, swings, basketball court and beach volleyball. There is also other things like barbeques but you need to bring charcoal. The grass area is not so big but probably good for short range casual frisbee or baseball. The park officially closes at 10 pm. The lights will mostly go off and the security guard will ask you to leave.
My little ones had a great time getting out of the house. They needed some grass, fresh as it and exercise.
Good for exercise and sports, has a basketball court and a play set
It was woñderful añd relaxiñg
I go to this park regularly to feed, cloth, blanket some of the homeless people that are there during the day. I used to be homeless, hungry, freezing under Hudson Park Ramada. I know many and see new faces constantly. I give 3 stars because of 1. City of Tempe lacking in shelters, resources for Tempe homeless to get out of the situation they are in. 2. Security and Tempe Police are quick to assume, harass and make a scene for no reason if your homeless. Again Tempe needs better opportunities and then a park would not be a hang out.
Love this park kids love it there is a skate park, basketball court also volleyball with sand and net. Two different play areas with swings, tire swing too. Also the splash pad super fun! Also has bathrooms and grass.Negative side is homeless but they are away from all the play stuff and kids.
This playground is close to the residential nearby which is great for those who live by. However, its too small for my liking. It had a few tiny slides and then also an area for skateboarders. It was pretty quiet, so thats a plus. Only one other family was there when I visited.I feel though, if you want a playground in the Tempe area thats bigger, go drive a bit to the Kiwanis Lake/Playground. You wont regret it. :Edit: I went today and I noticed they have a labyrinth as well. Well, nothing too big and fancy but a tiny one. Its underneath some trees so you can walk there and cool off.
Very nice park it was pleasant and had alot of things for kids to do
The homeless make a mess of the restrooms every single day!!!!!
Nice place got a water splash Pad! Basketball and a Park! Along with the Skate Park for bikes rollerblades! Nice smooth calming area!
Nice park like that its not to crowded.. Bathrooms are rusty could use more attention.. also some crazy wondering around.
Amazing park by ASU on the east side hidden within the neighborhood. The locals here tend to be nice and good at skating.
This place is my place, everyone I love it there on the random but needed occasions
The park was very active. Sand volleyball court with a sprinkler and lights but a lot of trash in the sand. A basketball court and skate park along with at least one picnic table.
Wonderful park to go too
Its where my bro cujos soul rest
Nic out door place. A few homeless present. Nice Ramada and maze in the shade.
Has a bunch of homeless camped out there at all times. So you cant use the BBQ areas or the tables. Cops are always there cause the homeless are sketchy
Really nice park but when we got there both of the gazebos were taken up by homeless people at least 10 of them also the Splash Pad was not working
Love this lil park you can skate it and take your kids to have a good time its a little water park for them
Fun place to and watch people play basketball
Splash pad is awesome. The park is spacious and has lots of playground items for the kids
This park has water play area and a skate park half pipe which keeps the kids entertained
So fare the best splash pad small but works good the park has just about everything skate park, splash pad, and 2 play areas its a small park but has everything so fare the best yet with out having to run from 1 side of the park to the other loved it
I have a correction. Technically you need a permit to use the ramada . if alcohol is present there is a permit that needs to be obtained it is 10-15 dollars . it can be obtained on the second floor of the tempe library located on the south west corner of rural and southern. This information is directly from the armed security guards that patrol and are almost always present at this park. My opinion but not official policy and understanding is that anyone here can use the ramadas for a party or otherwise without obtaining a permit however if you plan on doing it big or adding alcohol to the party get the permit . if you are respectful and responsible your not going to run Into any problems. Tempe is a fun place and this is one of the only parks with a skate park .
Its a chill place for older kids&grown folks to chill at. But it definately needs more shaded areas&to the throughly cleaned at least #3 times a week!
Could be much better its pretty cramped up however it does need work done to some obstacles around the park and the rail is fun to skate
Hi IAM Kimber and me and our hole family loves this place its great for all ages
Needs new equipment
Good place to play, shouldnt leave kids alone though
Really nice park. Wasnt at all packed when I went at 5:30pm on a Saturday, but Im sure it varies. Only my family and two other families. I was expecting a big crowd, so it was nice.My 2 year old daughter had fun at the splash pad and playing on all the playground equipment I will definitely go again to visit i recommend giving this park a visit.
Lots of homeless people in the park camping out and asking for food..i took disabled members there for a snack but didnt stay..Pigeons unrelentless under the picnic tables and it smelled of urine everywhere
A nice little park if you need something to do for a couple hours in the university district so it is a little busy but all in all it is a decent park.
Fun splash pad in walking distance from me and the light rail.
Beautiful minus all the bums
Another great little neighborhood park with a small water park for the kids or adults to cool off on a hot day.
The park is awesome. And the people there are even better. Everyone Is there to have a good time and progress.
Fun little skate park
Great place to be at with your kids or animals. Its a blast everytime
Clean, quiet
The play area is okay but sand is full of stuff you dont want your kids in, some of the metal play stuff is broken, looks like someone urinated down the rock wall. Oh and the area is kinda scary. Other then that its fine. Wont take my kids back thats for sure.
Quaint park
Self-service splash pad during the summer. Playgrounds are right next to splash pad which makes it easier to keep an eye on all the kids. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood so not very busy. Tempes hidden gem!
Cool park
This is a great park. Lots of parking, places for kids to play (including a spray-park), ride skateboards, and play basketball - this park is also big enough to go for a short walk. Well-lit and with bathrooms. Overall, a great place to visit.
I luv this place the wonderful atmosphere with something for everyone everything from splash pad to skate park and playground equipment for all ages and sizes big fields to play whatever game you want and plenty of room for kids to run
It is a nice lil park
If there werent so many homeless showering in the same water the kids play in then that would give it more stars.
Great park. Great skate area..skate park can get crowded at times but its shaded late in the day. Overall. Its the best place we have found for the kids to skate then the bonus they can cool off in the slash pad
Bunch of homeless people living there
Super fun splash pad
Great little park with a skate ramp!!
Its an OK park. Well maintained and mostly clean. Way more shades is what it needs
Fun
Kids do weed at the skate park all the time and Ive been joined by some interesting people when trying to play basketball with my wife. Kids slash pad is nice to have and a decent size field for frisbee, just some characters that come through because its near a light rail station
Really nice splash pad and plenty of shade. Great park, and secured on 3 sides with fences.
Great park with a nice big Ramada and sitting area for large gatherings. Nice scate park and there is always a soccer game being played.
The park was okay it could have been a little bigger or a few more things to play with for the children. This will not be the place to have birthday party no table or restrooms.
Not good for late-night stroll as druggy hovering
Great water park, good for little kids to cool off in the hot summers.
You could enjoy playing at volleyball and basketball playgrounds till 10:00pmSmall but good skatepark! skateboarders are always there. And a nice green area. One drawback; some times a bad smell comes from the public bathroom out there!
Great place for the kids
Really nice park. My kids loved it. Cant wait to try out the splash pad when summer comes again.
Nice small splash pad, skate park, basket ball court, playground and plants of shades trees as well as benches. Im from Peoria but came to Tempe town Lake for their splash pad but its been shut down. Came to Hudson instead and had a ball.
Nice little park with many features for the young ages 0-18 and picnic areas.
Good park aside from a large homeless population who seem to live there.
Nice splashpad
Sweet Park with mellow quarter pipes, a good box, and a decent flat bar. Lighted as well. Kinda small but very close to ASU
Surprised the bathroom was open
I love this place its huge and has a Great Skate Park its a good place to take the family
Skatepark is cool for RC cars.
Love this park! Love the splash pad for little kids(2yrs+) This park is a hidden gem.
Hadnt been to this park since I was a kid. Its changed but its a very nice park
Nice place for family just have to watch out for the influx of homeless people that come through there.
Nice park with new playground equipment. Splash pad during the season. Toddler area thats covered and a bigger kid playground area thats covered too. Basketball courts, sand volleyball court, skate park, ramada, and bathrooms. Lush trees with nice grass and a meditation maze. Homeless hangs out here. Park is well patrolled. Within walking distance to light rail.
Awesome laid back park. .found out it had a water area..great for all ages.Enjoyed a picnic in the sunLove that its sand not woodchips
Great small skatepark. Local skaters chill here summer or winter, no matter the temp. Great playground as well, and good restrooms with water fountain
Overall good ambience.should have some kind of lockers for valuables.
Nice place for kids
Nice clean well respected area...Also a water play park basketball and most of all for skaters... Awsum place over all...
Cool little splash pad
Great hidden little gem..Small splash pad just enough to cool off and play equipment well covered from the sun...
Good simple park, nice water play area... If u dont mind the sand water combo. Wear swimsuit and bring towel in summer.
Splash pad is great. Benches and grass nearby to sit as well as covered playground equipment
They have a skate park
Its good place to go for a walk. There is a kids area to play. Rest rooms are available. Volleyball and basketball courts are available.
My children love the Splash Pad at this park when we are unable to go to Tempe Beach Park. Hudson Park is more laid back and less crowded.
Had my first beer here. I was 13. Good times. Good place to film skateboard injuries.
Small but fun
Never seen so many roaches in my life. Bathrooms are a nightmare
Great shaded playground and splashpad for my kiddos (4 & 2) to enjoy even in the summer.
Hudson Park has something for everyone. With a basketball court, splash play area, BBQs, shaded picnic tables, a huge grass field, and a skatepark it is the perfect park for a large family gathering or weekend cookout. Being close to downtown Tempe and ASU it does attract a lot of college students and homeless people but it is a generally safe area. In short this is my favorite neighborhood park in Arizona!
