Nice neighborhood park. Picnic shelters, racquetball, playground for the kids, and awesome walking trails. Part of the trail meanders near the river. Quiet, peaceful and populated enough to feel safe without the crowds.

My family rented one of the picnic areas for a birthday and had no problems all day. We got there, set up and had a great time playing yard games by the water.Got pretty crowded later in the day but the picnic areas are a decent space apart that it didn’t interfere with our festivities in the slightest.If you rent at this park I highly recommend requesting a spot by the River!

Very nice dog park. Great dog drinking fountain that minimizes water waste. Nice agility training equipment. Good bike trail. Beautiful views of the river. Racquetball and tennis courts in good shape. Nice picnic shelters.

After i ordered chinese food i wanted to eat it while it was still hot. I google picnic parks and this park showed up. It has picnic tables, a walk trail, is very close to the river. They also have several gazebos perfect for Birthday parties or just a family party. With this pandemic Im always looking for outdoors spaces. Definitely will come back.

Me, my mom, and my kids we all enjoy coming here theres plenty of space for the kiddos to roam free. Plus they have a nice spot to go look at the water and relax if you wanted to

1st time going today with my birthday girl, Bella ♡ she had a great time! It wasnt too crowded plus the dogs and people were all very nice and pleasant. It was also well shaded which is a big plus for me considering the Florida heat, especially this time of year.

The improve the City of Tampa has done to this property is awesome. I really enjoy my time here. I suggest they add workout equipment along the trails.

Great shady walking trails along the river, pavilions and cool playgrounds for the kids. Excellent spot to get out of the house for some fresh air and exercise. Good meeting spot for groups.This is one of the reasons we live in Tampa!

Always clean nice people! Kids love all the options of multiple playgrounds trails swings dog parks and racquetball court fishing .....the list goes on!! Track teams practicing!A breathe of fresh air especially during covid.

Nice park with lots of space... Only downside is theres hardly any supervision here. There were folks zooming up in down the sidewalks at 40+ mph on dirt bikes (completely illegal) with toddlers around.

Really nice to walk around there’s a dog area as well. It does get full especially if your looking for a table to set up something but it’s a decent park.

Nice location with lots to do and plenty of room for families during social distancing right now. Fishing, walking, jogging, humongous dog park, ball parks, biking,, BBQ, picnics, playgrounds, training.. endless of opportunities

Beautiful park. Well maintained, large open fields, mostly shaded paths, coverd picnic tables and amenities. Dog park is fairly decent, divided large/small areas and almost fully shaded.

Wonderful park along a river and well kept. Needs to add a basketball court.

This is a great place to go walking and to enjoy the Hillsborough river. You can bring your dog to the dog park. It has everything you could want in a neighborhood park.

This park is a hidden gem in Tampa imo. The park is located along the Hillsborough River and offers walking paths, pavilions and other amenities. It seems that the park maintenance has improved significantly over the past year. Definitely worth a visit to get some exercise or enjoy a lazy afternoon outside.

Ive been going to this park since I was a kid. Great place for walking.

I really feel like Im in nature when there. The Hillsborough river mixed with the heavy vegetation allows for a great nature experience.

My experience at Rowlett Park,was nice & calm even though there were other people there, It remained calm which is awesome!!

It was much better until they took away the the exercise equipment

Im so excited to have this lush green space available to me and my family! The ample shade makes a walk around the park lovely even on the hottest days. I will definitely be a regular!

I feel like this park is so underrated. I love taking a stroll, working out or just sitting to enjoy the view and breeze. Family friendly, dog friendly and absolutely peaceful. One of my new go-to parks.

Really nice park a little crowded and you definitely want to have some thick skin in the area

Full of trashy people and trash but a nice little place with 2 play grounds and plenty of walking area and a river to fish in. I wouldnt trust it though from all the toxic foam forming in the Hillsborough River.

This park has completely transformed over the years. Very friendly staff. Has a great walking trail

Love coming to this park to enjoy the many different sights of nature. Also love the multi-use of the park that includes our 4-legged furry family. Kid friendly, can either walk, jog, or bike their multiple paths, can or just sit by the water. Can catch up with loved ones during a family gathering under a shady pavilion while other family members enjoy grilling out or have one awesome birthday party there

Great park! Beautiful scenery and lots of space. My only critique is that sometimes the closing of the park is somewhat obscure. I’ve been there while the sun was still very much up to be told the park was closing & other times as it’s dark (sunset)the gates have been open and people still there. I feel like solid hours versus the whole “sunrise to sunset” hours would be helpful for frequent park visitors.But besides that this is my favorite local park in TPA!

Its alot of trouble in this world but when you come to this park here all that trouble goes away this is a peace quiet play some rest and relaxation you can look at the water here, play tennis here cooking relax with family and Friends here, fishing just have a good time and walk the dog or a cat or just sit in your car to relax this is a great park to visit if you are in the Tampa Bay area just stop by this park have a great time here may God bless you all.

Enjoyed the serene scenery, well kept park.

This park is a favorite. It has upland pine habitat, lowland cypress habitat, two playgrounds, a dog park, fruit trees, lots of covered picnic pavilions, and its right on the river. There is a paved trail that goes over the entire park thats lined with trees, so youre shaded during your walk or run. Really wonderful gem right in the middle of this neighborhood.

Nice place for family hangout, grill party or just to pass some relax calm time with nature and trees.

My grandsons enjoyed one hour at the park. First, they played in play area. Then, we took a walk along the waters edge. Very peaceful day.

I love the trail! Very very very functional with hills to challenge your walk a little bit. Its not too secluded so you feel safe and dont have to watch your back while youre walking or jogging. Lots of people out doing the same thing youre doing. And the river alongside of the trail is a sweet surprise.

My grandkids love this place! It has something for the whole family, even the furry ones!

My nephew had his first birthday and this is where we had the party. Nice vibes, trails to walk on, and benches to sit on under pavilions. I really enjoyed spending time out there as each of my grandkids and my nephew enjoyed themselves on the playground.

This park is pretty big and spacious. The grounds are kept spotless the grass is beautifully mowed. They have an awesome huge dog park with a part sectioned off for smaller dogs.It’s also situated along the beautiful Hillsborough River. It’s roomy enough to bring a frisbee etc.

I have had the honor of watching this park change over the past 30 years since Ive been going from my childhood and in through my adulthood. The park has seen very rough times but it has been in great shape over the past 15 years with better security to keep out crime and keep the park clean and beautiful. It has been a very popular gathering place for families and events like birthday parties, reunions, anniversaries, yoga classes, therapy. Also great place for jogging, exercise, training, tennis, street hockey, racquetball, handball and more. A dog park has been a great addition to the park. It has a couple of playgrounds and the pavilions are well maintained, reserve-able and great for a gathering. Theres nice parking where it needs to be, near the courts, near the dog park, near the main pavilions, bathrooms and playgrounds. The pedestrian paved pathway goes all around the park and has a few options to take you through and around the entire park, with training rigs spread along it. Fishing is always easy down at the riverside, right near the dam or downstream amongst the old oaks. There is an opening and closing time for vehicle traffic and a courtesy curfew for foot traffic for the park. Its one of Tampas hidden gems!

This is a great park to have different functions. Also its great for your dogs. Because they have a doggy park there.

Great place to exercise, dog park area, have parties and simply relax while watching the river run its course!The Old School reunion is usually hosted there once a year and we really appreciate the City of Tampa for allowing this event to take place.

This is a nice park full of old oak trees and big grassy fields. There’s multiple playgrounds but there aren’t a lot of swings. You want to be careful when walking around. You could wonder into secluded areas and run into strangers so always have someone with you to be on the safe side. The view of the river is up close and personal and is very beautiful. I’ve been coming here for years and I’m sure that I still haven’t seen every part of this park yet.

Nice park for walking, some tennis and handball. Childrens areas and dog park. Safest early morning weekdays thru midday. Other times keep your eyes on your dog in the park, people will enter with food, children and a snatch or two of dogs has been attempted (although 12-24mths ago).

Kind of run down. Was probably pretty nice 20 years ago. Dog park looked nice. Park isnt in a nice area.

My dog absolutely loved this park! The big dog side was pretty large and left lots of room for a bunch of dogs to run around.

I really do like this park a lot. It has a playground for the kids, multiple pavilions to party in, a dog park for your furry friends, a circular trail to walk, and views of the Hillsborough river and the dam. I absolutely love the amount of tree coverage around the entire park. Great for hot days. Theres even some edible plants if you know what to look for. I come here quite often and mainly to take my dog around. I have never had any issues with any other dogs so far. In fact most of the folks I meet at the dog park are very friendly and open to conversation. The park also provides the green poop bags which is very nice and not all do. Check it out.

I have been coming to this park since I was younger. Yes its in the middle of a not so great neighborhood but it has one of the best walking trails for a public park. Its right next to the Hillsborough river (it actually runs through the park and people fish there all the time) and you can see the dam. As much as they say the pavilions are reserved they aint. Good place to see nature too. I have seen owls, pigs, lynx, rabbits, fish. There is also a HUGE dog park. A big one for big dogs and a slightly smaller one for small dogs. Most the dog owners that go out there are pretty chill too.

Very spacious and lots of tables. but the bridge on the walk path is closed off. making you have to walk further around

This is one of my favorite park.it have a good walking past and safe.they have a safety man that ride around.it very quiet.you can take the walk that doesnt have alot of trees or go around where it like you in the woods.take you some water.been walking here for 20yr.I just love this park.Hope you do too.

Love this park. Its huge and has some pretty scenery. I also bring my dog to the dog park and its also very huge and shaded.

Ive been to this park countless times. I love it. There is so much going for it. They have tons of gazebos and grills for BBQs or for a party. Lots of parking. Large open fields. Regarding the gazebos, rent it out early if you will for sure need one or you want to be near the kids playgrounds. Speaking of those, they have 2. The park is fairly clean, Ive never seen trash out in open areas. They also have a fairly large doggy park that is divided in 2, one for the larger dogs and one for the smaller ones. The doggy areas always have people and Ive taken my dog several times.

Today had to be the most perfect day for an outside partyat the park!! This park has 2 different playgrounds & then so many fields for these kids to play at! Love this place!

I went to gather pine straw for my yard & take a short walk. This has always been a nice park.
